DAY SEVEN: FRIDAY JUNE 21 ’My Head Is Still Spinning’
Today was supposed to be our Blizzard Beach day, but we decided that since we have been so wet everyday that we would each save 2 plusses on our tickets so that when we come next time we can just buy the straight hoppers and use these as our plusses. Plus we all wanted to hit our favorite rides one more time.
We split up as families today for the first time as we wanted to do Fantasy Land Rope Drop and Tami and her girls wanted to do Space Mountain and the other bigger rides. We also needed to head over to MGM for a while because Pinlissa (Melissa for those slow people reading this) found out that a limited edition Lilo and Stitch pin was being sold today and she HAD to have it!
We made it to the MK for rope drop. (tip: at the entrance to Cindy’s Breakfast, there is stroller parking that is roped off. Act like you are parking your stroller there and get right up to the rope towards FL. They remove all the ropes and you will be in the front and on a straight line to Dumbo!). We were on the first Dumbo flight of the day, then did Pooh and Pan. We then headed right over to Splash Mountain and Jacob and I rode as Pinlissa and the twins went pin hunting and to get in line for Aladdin Carpets. Jacob and I then met them at the Carpets and rode again. We then hit Main Street to find my XXXL Grey Sweatshirt with the Mickey Logo (Mock of Polo). We grabbed Cotton Candy and Rice Krispie Treats for Breakfast. And we bought Mickey Mouse Pasta to take home with us.
We then headed off to MGM. Jacob used FP to get in his 9th RnR ride while the twins and I got FP for Mermaid. We ate Slushies while waiting for the FP to activate and Pinlissa got a wrist band to get two of the Lilo & Stitch Pins. For some unknown reason Jacob freaked out and would not go to the Little Mermaid show. Something about Ursela (Octopus). Oh well, the twins enjoyed it and I took a little snooze.
It was time for Pinlissa to get in line for the limited edition pins. So I took the kids and got FP for the Millionaire show. We ate PopSickles and Ice Cream. We played at the Honey I Shrunk Playground for an hour. Pinlissa showed up all excited because she got the special dated pins. We then headed to Millionaire and Pinlissa was chosen to start in one of the 10 seats down front. We failed miserably as the twin kept hitting my buttons for me. I knew most of the answers but a few were pretty hard. We had no big winners during our show. But Katie was singled out in the middle of the show. In the beginning of the show they are very strict about no taping or flash photos during the show. About half way through the ‘New Regis’ stops everything and says ‘would the parents of that little two year old girl who keeps flashing pictures right in my eyes please ask her to STOP!!!’ That was my Katie, just flashing away (was anyone else at that taping???). Oh well, it was still fun.
We then headed back to the hotel for naps and a quick swim before our trip ending 9:30pm Birthday for Jacob meal at Chef Mickeys. We headed to MK a little early because Jacob wanted to find a sword he heard they had by the Pirates of the Carribean (black handle, yellow glowing blade, with a light in the yellow part) We found them and all three of my kids used there last few Disney Dollars on them. We had a little time before dinner so we rode Pirates and walked through the Tree House (Both were very Boring and I will continue to skip these in the future).
We met up with the rest of the group and headed to Chef Mickeys. We took a great picture of all 8 of us and bought the pack. We were seated right away and had a great Dinner!!! We stayed there for close to two hours. This is the best Dinner at WDW for both adults and Kids (with Liberty Tree a close second)!!!
Jacob celebrated his Birthday, they gave him a birthday pin and a special place mat with all the characters signatures.
After dinner the Moms did a few last minute pin trades/buys and were back on our way to the hotel. The kids that didn’t get to be co-pilots before were on this ride. Back at the hotel we all took on last swim and the kids went to bed. Rabbit would be picking us up at 6am, so I stayed up until 2am packing.
A GREAT ACTIVITY FILLED LAST DAY WITH A WONDERFUL DINNER!!!
