DAY FIVE: WEDNESDAY JUNE 19 ’Pirates, Pokemon, Our New Mom, E-Night at MGM???’
Another well deserved sleep in day as we didn’t get to bed last night until about 2am after E-Night. I took Jacob and Michelle over to the Grand Floridian for the Pirate Cruise that ‘Aunt’ Holly was nice enough to share with us, Thanks HOLLY! We got there by taking a bus to the Magic Kingdom and then taking the MonoRail around. We were lucky enough to be ‘co-pilots’ on the monorail. We arrived a little early so I let the kids play a few games at the GF arcade. I then got the kids checked in. The CM’s helped them with life jackets and bandanas and the were off. I took a nap while waiting for them and had a pretty good cheese burger at the arcade. The kids came back about two hours later carrying bags full of treasure. They had a blast! The CM’s really do a nice job with these kids. My son isn’t real big on details but here is what I got out of him. The boat driver has a pet bird named ‘Simon’ so for the rest of the trip every bird he saw was ‘Simon’. He loved his treasures. And he really liked the deserted Island they stopped at that used to be a water park. I wonder if this is the old River Country or Discovery Island??? We then headed back to Epcot via the monorail to meet up with the rest of the group.
The other group had ridden Test Track, Body Wars, The Ball, and did more pin trading/shopping all with the twins!
As we met I could tell the twins needed a real nap and with Epcot not being very high on my list, I volunteered to take the twins back to the room for naps. Everyone agreed that it was good idea. So the twins and I headed back, had lunch and took naps. The other rode TT again with Jacob and Michelle and then didd the Coke thing and walked through the countrys. Jacob had brought some Japanese Pokemon cards that he wanted translated. A nice CM at Japan did it for him, he was happy.
We all met up back at the hotel as the rains returned. We waited for a little while and then headed back to MGM for the evening. I took the twins to try to see Little Mermaid before dinner and the other went to FP RnR again. Unfortunately Little Mermaid had a 60 minute wait and all FP were gone for the day. A very nice CM so our disappointment and pulled out three FP from her pocket and gave them to me. Very Nice!!!
We met up for our dinner at 50’s PrimeTime Cafe to celebrate Becca and Michelle’s Birthdays. We had a great ‘Mom’ Sue. She kept the kids entertained all night with her antics and kept us busy with Trivia based on Disney. Food was great, dessert was great, service was great!!!
As we left 50’s Prime Time we noticed that the park seemed deserted. Our ‘E-Night’ at MGM Disney Studios had started. While everyone else was going to Fantasmic we rode and rode and rode. We rode RnR 3 times each with no waiting, Movie ride again for the twins, Star Tours was a walk in! WHAT A GREAT TIME TO RIDE AT MGM!!!
We then headed back to the hotel around 10pm, swam, and went to bed.
ANOTHER GOOD DAY!!! (NOTE: Don’t Forget About MGM ‘E-Night’!)
