After what I've read here, I've registered at the DW website, 'planned' vacations on the website, called about res., ordered the planning video, etc. all in hopes of spurring a code.

I did call today about res. for Dec (we get the military discount), the CM was very nice, helping price things out, I asked about other promotions, free dining possibility then, etc. I came short of outright asking "do I have a pin code next to our name?" She did say, they know as soon as we do about free dining, so she didn't know about Dec. We went last in Dec 08, so would she volunteer that info if we have a code by our name or do I specifically need to ask about it? Thanks.

Me too! I plan vacations, I order DVDs.....everything....but no PINs to date! My stepfather who has done absolutely nothing and has not been to DW in over 10 years keeps getting the postcards with PINs.

I still have the faith there will be a public type code. It may take a while to come out, but it will come.

Many are reporting luck updating their profiles. Also, the vacation planning area seems to help some folks get a code. It could be coincidence, but I'll do it.

Count me in! What I would like to see happen is a code for the general public for 40% off rooms or better yet, PACKAGES (room + park tickets). Disney did this last year and it rocked our world!! We will not benefit from Free Dining coz we don't eat much. So we're waiting... And waiting... And Waiting... I'm hoping we'll get lucky again this year. Is anyone here super confident that Disney will indeed release fantastic codes again this Nov-Dec??

I was so mad I opened another email in DH name signed him up for everything ordered dvd's, saved, not booked vacations. He gets an email from Disney Destinations saying we are glad you are coming back in Nov. :scared1: I didn't book any vacation and either did he. I know this sounds completely selfish and I am happy for all those who got pins however, when we go in Nov/Dec I will not be able to eat without thinking who's eating because they got a FD pin. I know I need help.

I know I am a complete moron- it can't be normal to be so obsessed with planning a trip to WDW and getting a pin code.

My kids said to me yesterday when I thought I got one- instead it was the disney movie club offer- mom, we haven't seen you that excited/happy in years! If you won the lottery you wouldn't have been so happy.
Now that's just shameful.
I think it's time for me to put away the 'disney planning' and get on with my life. Just accept that we're probably not going this year. First time in 15 years? Some years several trips a year. :sad1:

I think I see a trend developing here. We all come to WDW on a regular basis, and we all don't get codes or deals. However, we know people that haven't been since before AK opened, and they get deals every Thursday. Hmmmm. Maybe WDW knows even if they don't give the loyal guests a deal, we will come anyway!! I am not sure how you get on the list for discounts. For years I hoped for discounts. This year we have been very lucky and have received several. Of course with the economy the way it is we have not been able to take advantage of the deals. Maybe if things begin to look up we could go in December. That would be a great Christmas gift for the family. I will keep my fingers crossed for all of you. Your code could be on its way:goodvibes

I never get a pin either. We go every other year. It is just irritating to work so hard and save for a trip and really great dining and then others get the same thing for free.{or at least with a big discount}:confused:

I just got my first one ever! I have a theory on why I got it too- my husband and I have been going to Disney every few months for several years and went a lot during 2007-2008 school year. We lived in Orlando and had seasonal passes and before that I was a CM. But, we recently moved to NW Georgia and obviously haven't been going as much- suddenly a pin- for 40% resorts that mentions our passes in the e-mail so it must be targeted at passholders. Unfortunately we can't use it because of timing, but I sure hope that we will get another one for next spring!
