Which is the private location which has the lowest F & B minimum for a small amount of guests?
If anybody has any info, I would be grateful
Thank you

Several places have a 1,000 min. Ariels, Flying Fish, are two i can think of.

The convention center at GF or BW might have ballrooms with low mins, but I'm not sure.

We are in the St. James room at the Boardwalk Convention Center, it's a Thursday so I know that makes it cheaper, but our food is going to be about 600 and we are over the minimum (I just cant remember what the minimum is). The St. James Room is beautiful, and there is a patio, so depending on the weather and the size of your party you could even set up out there!

I'm having the Key West Room at the GF convention centre and the F&B min is $500.

Thank you all very much
The Key West or St James sound perfect
What are you all having for food?
I would love a brunch but all the menu options for this seem to state a 25 guest minimum and I definately won't reach that unless I start pulling people in off the street!!!!! Lol

Don't worry - you can create a customized menu to suit your party. You don't have to use those sample menus. :thumbsup2

We don't know how small of a number of guests you have. If it is just your immediate families, you could have your reception anywhere by making reservations in a restaurant. I think having a small wedding ought to increase your options instead of decrease them. A small number of guests makes the per-plate costs less of an issue if you are on a small budget.

Napa Room and Sonoma both have a $1000 minimum before 4pm :)

Chilly - what's the Key West room? I've never heard of it! I've been wondering whether there is a small room we can rent after the Napa just for drinks or dancing :)

The Key West Room is basically a small boardroom, about the size of this one:

You could also have a meal in a private room at one of the Downtown Disney restaurants. Raglan Road and Fulton's Crab House have semi-private and private options for meals. :)

Thank you
If you have a small Escape reception at one of these locations, do you still have your cake cutting/toast at the ceremony location or can you choose to have it at the reception

I think you can have it at the reception instead.

Does Flying Fish have a private room?

Just thought I'd pipe up here, Citrico's at the Grand Floridian has a private dining room, the Chef's Domain, that seats up to 12 adults.
Minimum is $650.

Does Flying Fish have a private room?

No private room, just a separate section to one side of the main dining room.

No, the Flying Fish doesn't have a private room. I see Lurkyloo showed you the picture of the small area. However, with the Flying Fish you have the ENTIRE restaurant to yourself and your wedding party.

.... if you do a private event there when the restaurant is closed to the public. :)

The cool thing about Citricos is you can use the private room while the restaurant is open, which means you can have dinner there. Flying Fish is only available for private brunch and lunch functions. :thumbsup2

I'm a Escape Bride, and for options near SBP, for a lunch reception I was quoted:

$1000 min for Ariels
$800 for Yachtsman's Steakhouse (it would be a buffet lunch)
$850 for the Yacht & Beach Convention Centre
(I'm not sure about St. James Hall as it was already booked).

We are going with a section of Cape Cod Hall in the Yacht & Beach Convention Centre.

I'm a WG Escape bride, and I've been struggling with where to go. I haven't heard from my planner yet, so I haven't been able to ask for options. Are these minimums you were quoted?
