First of all, thank you ladies very much!!!! I am much calmer and feel more relaxed since the last time we spoke.

Here goes:
My name is Tami my husband and I have been married for 10yrs. The first time around we did a simple JP and a family reception. We had Mickey and Minnie on our cake and I am a HUGE Disney fan. So much so that I currently work for The Disney Store. We decided to have a renewal and I wanted to expand on the Mickey/Minnie theme. While we can not afford a WDW wedding I am gonna do my best to bring the magic here. I am going to go with a black/red color scheme, try to hide Mickey any where I could, and have fun with the whole thing. I have seen some great ideas and lovely pictures! OH! I forgot, we are holding the renewal in Jan 201.
P.S. If I could get the characters to come here I would!!!:rolleyes1

Hi,

I read the other thread. Boy, oh boy.

I would suggest doing the Mickey crystals in your bouquet. They look like sparklies from a distance, but when you look close, they are in the shape of our three-circled friend.

You can also do a nice cake design and ask the baker to put in Mickey shapes. You know the one cake at WDW that is the swirls of Mickey heads? That was originally done with a Disney pin, like the ones you trade with? Yeah, those. It is just a small Mickey and you dip it in the silver or gold candy dust and apply it to the cake. Anyone can do it. (of course it takes a skilled hand to make then look like swirls and designs.)

You can now order Mouse ears on disney.com. You can have them for your whole wedding or just the wedding party for some fun photographs.

These are just a few ideas. I'm sure others will have more.

Welcome and happy planning. As far as the Mickey crystals go - I would check out craft stores and get two different sizes of either crystals or pearls on wire an just put them together to look like a classic mickey.

Our colors were red, black and white also. Here are a few photos. Our ceremony was in Epcot (Italy) and our reception was at Atlantic Dance Hall. We had a dessert party back in Italy (UK)

If I find a photo of the crystal mickey in my bouquet I will add it to your post.
