We have decided to book a last minute trip to DLP. we have booked half board, do we need to book our resturants in advance.

How crowded is it in late July?

Any advice would be more than welcome x

Its not as essential to book as it is at WDW however if there is somewhere you really want to eat its worth phoning in advance. You could also go to City Hall when you arrive or your hotel concierge and book there for the whole trip.

Its quite busy end July but as the parks are open late its bearable.

Where are you staying? We usually go in early then go back to the hotel for a swim and rest and then back into the park until closing

I've heard mixed reports about how busy it is in peak school holidays/summer season. Some say it's bearable, other people who have perhaps not been to Disney before have been scared off by it :scared1: I think it depends on your outlook and as Small World says, if you plan your day around a rest in the afternoon it should make it better.

Quite a few people on this board have said they think this year will be busier than ever due to the 40% off offers which have been around so much (first time ever for DLRP I believe). Certainly, those who have been so far on this Board have nearly all come back and said it's been busier than they expected/or than a previous trip at the same time :confused3

We go end August (v end, just before French schools go back) so we hope it's OK :scared1::eek:

I agree totally with the posts above :thumbsup2

Make good use of EMH - if you're staying onsite the park opens 2 hours early for you 8am - 10am, so get there early and then go back to your hotel for a later breakfast.

We went back to our hotel in the afternoons too, and had a swim and a rest in the room to cool down. Then back out for our dinner, and to the parks for the rest of the evening. You'll have even later than we did as the park is open until 11pm.

You don't have to book your meals, but have a look on the sticky thread to see the restaurant reviews, to get an idea of where you would like to use your vouchers. It's also useful to have an idea of where you want to go, as it plans you day a bit better too.

I would recommend booking Cafe Mickey if you want to eat there, as there are often queues, and friends of ours were turned away on one of their trips, as there were not tables available when they wanted to eat. They then had to trek around to find somewhere - not ideal if you're tired and hungry.

Good luck with your planning :goodvibes
