I have my semi annual CT scan tomorrow as a follow up to my cancer treatment. I don't know why, but last night I dreamt the cancer had come back. TWICE. The first dream woke me up. I kind of shook my self mentally and rolled over and went back to sleep. And I had another version of the dream. And another nightmare was thrown in the middle but it is of a political nature so I won't go into it. Back to the CT. I am feeling fine, no symtoms of anything. I could get some more sleep, but couldn't we all. I am not a person to put any credence in dreams, but I am a little freaked right now. As long as I don't get a frantic call from my oncologist in the next week, and wait to hear the results at my scheduled appointment a week from Monday I will be OK.
Thanks for letting me vent.

Best of luck Kim. It sounds like you have good reason to be stressed and anxious, and have that stress cropping up in your dreams. Hopefully everything will come out OK, and you will get no calls. All my best! :thumbsup2

 for you Kim
It is probably just your subconscious playing with your mind  I can only imagine what a weight on your mind it must be till you get test results .
Stay strong Kim - you know where we are if you need us :grouphug:

Dreams almost always mean the exact opposite of what they seem to or make absolutely no sense at all -- so try to relax! Tomorrow's CT is just weighing heavily on your mind so it's perfectly natural it would crop up in your dreams. Sending you a  and a :thumbsup2 that everything will be fine.

Hi Kim,
You are not being silly one bit. Sometimes we all let our fears get the best of us. Just think positive and keep yourself busy till you get the good new that I know is coming your way. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers (not that you will need it, but extra never hurts) and send lots of pixiedust your way. :tink:
Lots of love,

Thanks everyone. It helps just getting it out to my friends. I have a feeling life is going to be busy for the next week, so that will help keep my mind off of the dreams.
Thanks again,
Kim

I totally sympathize. I had my one year check-up for cancer on Tuesday. I get the results Friday 7/17. You totally get comfortable in between visits, but when a check-up comes around, it can bring a lot of anxiety back. I know the waiting and anxiety suck, but try to remember that's why you're having bad dreams. You're just anxious which is completely normal. Your dreams don't mean that anything is wrong. They just mean you're having a normal amount of anxiety. Think positive and think about how far you've come. Keep yourself occupied with things you enjoy doing. I'm sending you prayers and pixie dust. :wizard: Keep us updated.

I have been keeping myself busy tonight. Do you all remember that game with the tiles that had one empty space and you had to try and shift them to get the picture? Well that is what I was doing with my bedroom tonight. moved half the furniture into different places to optimize the space. I am exhausted right now. To paraphrase the Great Bard, to sleep per chance NOT to dream.
Thanks again for the encouragement.

:grouphug::grouphug: I'm thinking of you Kim. Think happy thoughts!
I would be stressed too. I hope you hear great news real soon.
When we dream our subconscious is working out the days events or the things on our mind. It is not a way to predict the future. People will say I dreamt something and then it came true. If you dreamt that you won the lottery and did, it's not because of you dreamt it, it's because you were extremely lucky. I have had that dream quit a few times and I have not won the lottery DANG IT! :rotfl: Please don't stress out about it.

Will keep you in my prayers. My dad was just tested for prostrate cancer due to some problems he was having, and the stress and anxiety can do a number on you. It was 3 of the most stressed out days I had. One thing that i did was to keep thinking positive thoughts, and it seemed to help out a lot.

Who wouldn't be nervous under the circumstances...it's completely normal. Plus, we've all been on an emotional roller coaster lately due to the news reports concerning celebrity deaths, (and our own dear Kevin's tragedy) -- so try to remain positive and know that we're all behind you 100% with fingers, toes, pretty much everything crossed. :thumbsup2
