we are going to cafe mickey on sunday (daughters birthday). I know they sing happy birthday if you book a cake - but will they also sing without a cake? I can order one but it will probly be wasted (there is only me, partner and ellie) and we get desert with our meal anyway.

I don't think that they will do this, but you can always ask?
If not you can order the cake and they will box it up for you so you can eat it at a later date.

When we were at Cafe Mickey last summer they did sing to a child by taking her a plate of goodies from the childrens dessert buffet with a candle in but I dont know if this is a normal thing they would do - its the only time Ive seen it.
a word of warning about having the cake boxed up - when I got my cake in Inventions in Feb they said they no longer provide boxes to take them away in (health and safety!!!!) but that was a different type of cake anyhow. as we were staying in DLH they let us take it on a plate back to the room - covered with cling film.
When we had DDs cake in cafe mickey in Nov last yr they did give us a box and we actually brought it home with us in our suitcase (hand luggage on the plane) with no problem

ah thats ok then.. because I had read somewhere on here that u couldnt take them with you, which would have been a realy huge waste of money and food. If I can take it, I will probly bring it home. x
