Forgive me if I missed another post, but which points did they reinstate? I'm hoping you mean the magical 54,000 - because that should mean mine will reappear too!! :)

Fergie: Did you write them a note and complain? I didn't, and my 54,000 hasn't been reinstated yet.
Just curious.....

I didn't get the points back either, but I just emailed them about it.

I never e-mailed them (I swear). In fact, I haven't even been doing Blink lately. But today, I went back to see about the Smartpages, and lo and behold, my account total was increased 54,000. I cashed out for a $5 Amazon certificate, which I'm sure I'll never see (I still haven't gotten my last one).

I cashed in points for an Amazon GC in late may, and got it via email in less than 3 weeks. I hear the webbies take a while (if ever) so I'd say Amazon is the way to go. Now, just making sure they (Amazon) charge you correctly, don't add in shipping when it should be supersaver, "misplace" coupon codes - there's another story. Made even more difficult now since they stopped putting price information on the shipping invoice.

Well you must be the only lucky one....mine is still the same too!!

I don't see the smartpages nor did I get my points back.

I got neither my points back or smartpages. And I did write a nasty e-mail weeks ago that went unanswered. Maybe we should all boycot Blink until they give our points back. We're only a small contingent of their visitors, but its standing up for what is right. Just my two cents.

I didn't get my points back either, but I did get Smartpages...if you can't find Smartpages, do a search, it will come up and give you the points! :)

I just sent a little "nasty gram" to Blink asking them to explain themselves regarding the 54,000 points.
I also took them to task for false advertising (4-6 weeks for some rewards to show up; and other rewards never showing up). I told them I would not be back until I received an explanation.
Also sent off 6 e-mails for websites that promised points within a month, and have not been received.
Whaddaya wanna bet I get no response?
Think I'm going to start spending more time at 27bucks.

I have been boycotting Blink since the points were taken away. I also sent them an email explaining why I don't visit their site anymore. Not that it will matter. I am also waiting for a webbie from a couple of months ago. I will not support a site and help them make a profit when they treat people the way Blink does. I have found many other reward sites to occupy my time. :D

I'm still very new at this rewards stuff so maybe I'm just reading this thread incorrectly, but it sounds like people were credited a whole bunch of points by accident and that Blink corrected their error. Now some of those people are boycotting the site because Blink didn't let them keep points they didn't really earn? Or is Blink a bad program otherwise?
I guess if it's just a bad program, then that's one thing, but if it's because people were hoping to cash in on someone's mistake I think that's just plain sad. If I get change for a $20 at the grocery store and I gave the checker a $10, I correct the error, I don't keep the money. And if the checker notices before I do, I sure don't run out of the store and say I'll never go back.
Again, sorry if I misunderstand the situation - hope it all works out for everyone.

on whether or not these points were a mistake to begin with or not.Or Judge people for their OP either way.So let's not get into a debate about this, ok. PLEASE
For those of you who got your points back...Good for you...sorry to say I was not one yet but it took Blink forever to take mine away.So there is still hope.
And I am still waiting on my Webbie Blink!!!!!!

I ordered by webbie at the end of May and it hasn't show up. I wasn't one of the lucky ones who got their points back. Hope all the complaints give them a swift kick where they need it!

...I won't. But I cannot let dskramer's comment go without offering a brief explanation for my earlier remarks.
I am greedy, but fair.
Like all of us who were fortunate to originally receive the 54,000 Blink points, I was disappointed when Blink retracted them. My nasty e-mail to them addressed the fact that they didn't have the courtesy of e-mailing me (or anyone else for that matter) to explain it was a mistake (neither before nor after) they took them away.
So, was it a mistake? One would assume so since they retracted each person's points. But wait. Because now they've re-credited a few accounts. So, perhaps it wasn't a mistake. And if they re-credit one, they should re-credit all of them. This is what I mean by saying they should do "right" by us.
If they made a mistake, fine. Explain it, apologize, delete the points and move on. But their wishy-washy, give-and-take points without any response to our inquiries is not the correct way to run a business. And for that I have a good reason to be upset with Blink.

I actually stopped doing Blink a few weeks before we heard about those points. I have been waiting a couple of months now for a webbie and I have to keep emailing them in order to get my referrals listed. It took almost a month to get 3 of my referrals and I'm still fighting with them about a 4th one. When I heard about those extra points I decided to start back up again, but once they took them away I stopped. It's not worth my time to do it if I have to keep sending emails to get the points or prizes I earned. Maybe if they had better communication I wouldn't be so annoyed. Like I said, I have found other things to occupy my time. JMHO. :D

Yes, I took advantage of the 54,000 points. Whether or not they were the result of a mistake or a broken link, I think Blink should have honored their promise. Lots of merchants make mistakes, and it's usually the merchants loss, not the customers.
As I said before, I never e-mailed them one way or the other. I was disappointed they took them back, but if that's how they wanted to do it, it was their prerogative. I was surprised to find them back in my account. Also, I never got my Amazon certificate from them, and might actually e-mail them about that.
Whatever.

I am just wondering what dskramer read in the thread that made him/her think the points were a mistake. I reread the thread up to that point, and there is nothing about it being an error at all, nothing that would make someone totally new without any preconcieved notion think the points were a Blink mistake. Just that the large number of points were taken away and some confusion as to why some people had the points returned. With most of the points being a value of 5, and 25 being a high point value with 1 50-pointer), who's to say that the 120 one shouldn't really be 12? If Blink changed that and withdrew points based on the change, would that also be points people had gotten in error?
I was quick to post when I got my Amazon GC from Blink, to let folks know that thew were indeed sending things out. I try to be fair at both ends of the (non) debate.
Just pondering here ...

Thanks to everyone who took the time to respond. Clearly I differ with most of you on this subject but I appreciate your giving me your points of view.

It really does irritate me however that they do not respond to emails....its not just blink, its spedia (its been 2 months since I requested a 33.00 check, no reply to 5 emails either) and even mypoints, they used to be good, I would get my gift certificates in like 3-4 days...now its 3-4 weeks or even more! But at least THEY respond to emails. I requested my Blink cash out on June 6 and I went for the cash through Money Zap...haven't received anything as of yet.
