When will find out what it will be next year? Is there a chance they will run the same thing again?

I hope it's some kind of anniversary theme!

Anniversary is one of the things that you can celebrate under the current theme.

Sorry, I didn't clarify what I meant. I was thinking I saw somewhere that it was Disney's anniversary next year. I could be mistaken though.

I hope they change it. Only because we won't be celebrating anything, but having fun, when we go. lol

disneyland will be 55 next year. opened in 1955 (55 being the good number here??? (giving stuff away for people with a 5 in their birthdays? )

walt Disney himself was born in 1901. (nothing special there)

disneyworld 1972 - ( 37 years ago?)

WDW opened in 1971 right? They will be 40 the year after next - 2011.

My opinion (if you really want it) is that they will run the celebrate promotion another year. They ran the promotion before for 2 years correct? Then they will be set to run something even bigger for the 40th anniversay celebration for WDW.

I hope too they keep the Celebration theme/promo thru the end of 2010, since we will be going around Thanksgiving to celebrate 2 of DD's birthdays :bday:

I also hope that we are able to "Celebrate" in 2010. My DS, DD and my b-days are in the begining of January. By the time they announced the theme of Celebrate with free b-day entry, we already had our Vacation booked elsewhere. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it'll continue through 2010 so we can take advantage of it.

My guess is your right...altho I would love for it to be wrong. Its a nice promotion but it doesnt do much for us. We only go during value season & the only birthday we have during that time is DD who is free until 2011. Even then, we will probably go right before her birthday to save that little extra money

I was thinking it would be the same..

We want to go in Feb 2010 and nothing much is going on, but I told my DH we need to have something to celebrate, and he works retail so he said "The end of Christmas?". I wonder what they will think of that!

They might keep it the same since they did that with the year of a million dreams. I like the celebration theme but I went twice this year so it would be nice for me to see a new theme when I go next!

Just got off of the phone with a cm who let me know that they will be doing the "What Will You Celebrate" promotion into the next year. That it'll be the same as this year with free entry on your birthday or the gift card or fastpass. Exciting news since we are going in January for DS 5th bday.

Thank you for this information. I planned our 2010 trip around my birthday, and I was hoping this was the case!

I was told the same thing, it will be that same birthday promo

Just wanted to add, I was assured by 3 CM's that if any promo is announced that I can call and amend our res's for the better price. So make your res now and get the resort you want, and call back in Nov. when they roll out the promo and they will adjust it to the deal

I was just there two weeks ago and I think they are going to change it only because they are not selling the year of a million dreams merchendise anymore and the bags in the gift shops are different and I also saw no signs or anything for it. When I was there last year everything had year of a million dreams on it. Just a thought.

The year (or two) of a million dreams ended and for 2009 they are doing the "What Would you Celebrate" promotion. The CM I Talked to last week said that they will be doing it for 2010 as well. They will be updating the website soon so that people can re register for their 2010 birthdays for the free entry or the fastpass or the fun card.

I priced out a couple of different resorts for our May, 2010 vacation. I saved two offers. One of the last steps when saving the offer is.....what will you be celebrating and it has a drop down box for the same celebrations as this year (anniversary, birthday, graduation, etc.)

Off question, but if it is a child's birthday and he gets a fastpass, is that just for him or for whoever is riding with him too? :confused3

Breaking news…as we just announced on Good Morning America, if you give a day of volunteer service to a participating organization, you’ll get one day of free admission to a Disney Park. It’s a first-of-its-kind program we’re calling “Give a Day, Get a Disney Day.”

And yes, it’s that simple — a free one-day ticket to a Disneyland or Walt Disney World theme park for guests who volunteer a day of service to a participating organization. We’re celebrating you and the good things you do for your communities.

Our program officially begins on January 1, 2010. When it’s live, you’ll be able to visit www.DisneyParks.com or www.DisneyParks.ca and search for an eligible volunteer project. After completing the volunteer work, an e-mail will be sent from Disney with a link to print out a voucher to redeem at a theme park for a free one-day, one-park admission. And if you’re unable to use the ticket, it can be donated to a charity designated by Disney.

With this announcement, we’re looking for 1 million people with a passion to make a difference. And we’re working with HandsOn Network to do it. They’re helping make sure you find the perfect volunteer work. And many of the program’s volunteer opportunities will be for the family.

Also, you’ll notice that we’re raising awareness for grass-roots community volunteerism in more cities than just Chicago. Disney VoluntEARS are joining local volunteers in cities across the United States and Canada today. Work projects involving more than 1,000 volunteers are happening in Atlanta, Los Angeles, Miami and across Canada — Toronto, Montreal, Halifax and Vancouver.

We’ll be posting more details about the program and how it may involve your city on the @DisneyParks Twitter account and right here.

Of course, there are some official details you should know about: Must pre-register and sign up for eligible volunteer opportunity at disneyparks.com. Ticket quantities for this program are limited. Must be at least age 6 to participate. Other terms and conditions apply. For details, see disneyparks.com in the United States and Puerto Rico. In Canada, see disneyparks.ca.

So is this promotion replacing "What will you Celebrate?". I thought I read somewhere on here that a CM at Disney told a guest that the Celebrate theme would be continued for 2010.

WWYC goes on. For now, it appears that the birthday promotion does not. :(

Has anyone noticed any new commercials for the parks? I love the one with the "Celebrate You" song, but new commercials make me happy :)

I got the new 2010 Vacation Planning DVD in the mail yesterday. I brought it to work with me to watch at lunch in the hopes that it gives a few details on next year's promotion.

This would be nice to know... what they are planning for 2011 as a celebration... as I've seen... it's their 40th year??? Pretty cool!! I'm going Feb. 5-12th, 2011...depending on finances, and whatnot... I just might make it a longer trip... we will see!!!!! (Only bad thing is... my son will be missing school the entire time we go.. and so will my friends daughters...as another family is joining us for the trip...not like it's a bad thing to be at Disney and not school, just not too sure how much the schools will like it.)
