Here are our confirmed ADR's for Oct. 3rd-7th:

Oct. 3rd-Crystal Palace at 3:15
Oct. 4th-Sci Fi Drive-In at 11:30
Oct. 5th-Liberty Tree Tavern at 6:00
Oct. 6th-Akershus Princess Breakfast at 10:40
Oct. 7th-Tusker House at 4:45
(Oct. 8th-CS breakfast at CBR. Leave for airport about 10:00am.)

I need help with our arrival day on Oct. 2nd, a Friday, busy time I know...
We should be checked in at CBR by 3:30, so I need a TS in the evening. My girls are seven and ten, and the seven year-old is extremely picky. (A potato in any form will get her through.) Shutters looks great for the adults but not for my girls.

Chef Mickey's was our first choice, but it's booked. Our DU agent, Carolyn, suggested The Wave, but it wouldn't appeal to the girls at all. What about Whispering Canyon? How far is it from CBR? Looking at its menu, I didn't see burgers and fries offered for dinner. I'm really open to suggestions. Thanks for any advice.

Never done Whispering Canyon, but our arrival night we had a lot of trouble finding a place to eat. The lady I was speaking with at Disney Dining recomended The Grand Floridian Cafe. I had never heard of it, but the menu looks promising. Another good bet is the buffet at the campground. Cant think of the name of it all of a sudden, but there are a lot of good choices for everyone. And it is very easy to get into.

Depending on when you arrive I second the buffet at the campgrounds. Then afterwards the girls could walk around and look at the horses and you could stay for the sing along with Chip and Dale, and the movie.

clanwilson I second that recommendation for the GF Cafe...it is a very relaxing atmosphere which is nice after a day of travel...has a nice menu which does include burgers and fries...and you can enjoy the resort a bit or any of the other monorail resorts and maybe watch Wishes to top off the evening!

We used the dining plan for the first time recently and couldnt believe how easy it was...and your reciept will tell you how many credits you have left each time you get one...it worked out very well...

Enjoy your trip...you have lots of nice ADRs planned!

Thanks to everyone for the advice. Since it's our arrival day, I decided to stick with Shutters at CBR. That will give us more time to check out the resort and swim before we hit the parks the next morning.

Have you thought about doing a CS on your arrival day, and having a character breakfast or a 2 credit meal to use your credits? HDD is fun...
