so i am a young traveler and was thinking about going to disney world but then the thought of disneyland paris popped in my head and its not much more for what were going to pay to go to WDW for a week to go to Paris for a week, so i have never been and was wondering a few things, 1st is, could we stay in the disneyland hotel the whole time and still go and see the Louvre and eiffel tower, notre dame, etc.. is there a bus near buy or train or something, also i live in california and was wondering what would be the best airline to look into to get a ticket to France, any help would be great, it might just be easier to go to WDW but i would sure love to go to France for only a few extra $$$.

Sorry I cant help with the airline but it would probably be Charles de gaulle airport you would fly into.
There is a train (RER) which goes from DLP (it has its own station) into central Paris. It takes about 30-40 mins and they run every few minutes.
You can easily stay on site and visit Paris but you do get tickets for everyday of your stay at DLP so it might be a waste.
Is it the DLH you are looking at? as there are other cheaper hotels onsite as well wwithin walking distance of the parks

yes i definetly want to stay at the DLH at least while we visit the park, but i would be willing to switch hotels to visit other areas, i just dont know paris that well at all so i dont even know where to look? i figured the DLH would be a safe bet as long as we could afford it.

I just went to Paris in March. I flew in to Charles de Gaulle and went right to DLRP spent the first two nights at the Hotel Cheyenne. Then I took the train into Paris and spent the last five nights of my trip at a hotel there.
Based on my experience, I would recommend that if you want to both do DLRP and the tourist stuff in Paris, you should split your trip in to two parts. You can get to Paris from DLRP fairly easily on the RER, but depending on where in the city you want to go, my guess is you'd be looking at an hour to an hour and a half traveling time each way, every day.
As for finding a hotel in Paris -- yeah, it's intimidating, but buy a travel guide or browse the web a bit (maybe start with tripadvisor.com). Two hotels I know of: I heard good things about the Hotel Valadon (http://www.hotelvaladon.com/index.htm) and I stayed at the Hotel de la Place des Vosges (http://www.hotelplacedesvosges.com/eng/index.php) on my trip in March, and I have only good things to say about it.
If I can help any more, please just let me know.

I agree - we have done day trips into paris from DLP but if its your first time there and possibly the only time you might visit it would be worth staying in Paris itself to experience it.
We did a split stay at Easter doing Paris first then DLP.
We stayed at Best Western Trocadero where we have stayed before. We like the location of this hotel and I would stay there again despite the confusion we had last time over our room.
Hotels in Paris do tend to be quite basic though and the rooms on the smallish side so be warned about this. However you dont really go to Paris to stay in your room/hotel as there is so much to do and explore

I agree with the others. Split your trip and stay in both places. My family went in Mid-June and spent 5 days in Paris and 3 days in DLRP at the Disneyland Hotel. In Paris we stayed in a hotel called the Splendid Etoile that we found on Trip Advisor. The hotel was simple and the staff very helpful. The best thing about it was the location. We were a block away from the Arc de Triomphe, across the street from the Air France shuttle stop and right above the metro stop that was a great connection point with several lines as well as at the end of the RER line that takes you to Disneyland Paris. Happy planning!!

Air france has 3 non stop flights each day, between LAX and CDG (Charles de gaulle). Of course, non-stops tend to be a bit more money sometimes, but they are also very convenient.
The Disneyland Hotel is very expensive in Paris though. booking through UK travel agent to get the UK rates is best. The Hotel New York is also nice and cheaper.
Overall, I must say as doing both, going to Disneyland Paris, I find is a lot more money, from flights, to transportation once you're there, to hotels, food, etc. It's unimaginably more money, in my opinion.
