I am so excited! I made my first reservaton today!! We just found out that our new purchase closed & I was able to get the days I wanted at the Beach Club in Feb. without any problem. I was offered a choice of either a pool view or an Epcot view, I chose the Epcot view hoping to see some of the fireworks. Does anybody have any thoughts or insight into which would have been better? Any advice is helpful.....:D

We will have more insight about views and everything else after next Monday (July 1st) when everyone comes back from their visit to the BCV's. Right now everyone is saying that Epcot view 1st floor is better then the pool view for now. I have also heard comments about there is limited Epcot views and it may be obstructed by trees. We have to wait and see.

Also how does it feel to make a reservation without putting down a deposit or any discussion of money? Weird isn't it, but a GREAT feeling :).

ALSO WELCOME TO THE DIS AND WELCOME HOME.:bounce: :bounce:

WELCOME HOME!!!

It does feel great to make a reservation & not have to worry about paying it off!! What days in February did you reserve? February has a school vacation (or two) in it, so I'm just curious!

Hi All-
Thanks for the good wishes! It was great not to have to give them my Disney credit card number to book!!
We booked the Beach Club in a 2 bdr. from 2-16 through 2-21 and when the 7 month window opens up I'm booking the 14th & 15th at OKW in a studio.
As far as school vacations go I don't always worry about them. I have 13 year old twins but they are good students and their teachers never have a problem with us taking them out for a week. I also have a soon to be 1st grader and I'm sure his teacher won't mind either.

Welcome Home!!!!!
I also remember that first reservation as a DVC owner - it was just last year. We joined in Feb 01 and as soon as we were able, I was on the phone making that reservation. We stayed 6 days at VWL in a studio and took the 3 day cruise on the Wonder this past Feb. I still cant believe how wonderful that vacation was. We have vacationed at WDW many time prior to that but this time it was different. We felt special!!! We already booked next years at VWL again but just called today to change it to the BCV. We will arrive on 1/25/03 for 8 nights and today was the first day that I could switch the res from our home resort to BCV. We are looking forward to staying there. Friends of ours were just in WDW and they said that from what they could see, the resort looks beautiful.......so beautiful that they also became members!!!
Have a great time!!!!!!!!! Jim
