I'm here too!! I feel sad for the families whose DH's and DS's won't wear Disney attire! :sick: I managed to find matching attire for the whole family for our Nov 07 Aloha Dinner show at the Poly! I'm nearly in panic mode. 5 days and so much to do. Still have pictures to scrap. Still have to sew up the banner and make our towel ID tags. Need to plan meals to eat in the villa.

I've got to go fill out an expense report (Project Graduation at the high school) before I forgot AGAIN!!

At Walmart, they have clear contact paper. It says laminating right on it. Says "great for scrapbooking". Paste 2 back to back, then laminate it with the clear contact paper (which isn't paper). then punch a hole in it and put a notebook ring through it or a caribiner or short beaded chain. Then hang it from your lanyard or stroller or handbag or backpack. :yay:

Wow, part 2! Okay, I have now started having crazy dreams!! :scared: First there is the one where we arrive and go to check-in but Disney has no record of us at all. Then there is the one where I go through the entire vacation to find that my new camera didn't take any pictures that weren't blurry (sp). And last but not least (Dolfinjuls you will so get this one!) the dream where I cannot find a photopass photograher anywhere in the parks!!!!
This is going to be the longest 11 days of my life!!! :scared1:

Please forgive my stupidity guys, but I cannot figure out how to upload a picture onto these boards. I know most of you use photobucket and I plan to do that with all my new pics when we get home. The pics I have on my computer now are in my Kodak software and they seem to be stuck there. So...here is a link to a picture of what my family looked like three years ago if anyone is interested. I tried to go to your link, and it took me to the kodak website and said "the link is no longer valid". "If you wish to view this album, contact the albums owner and ask them to use the share feature". This is how I posted a photo to the thread. I went to a photo I liked that I'd posted on Facebook. I right clicked on it and selected properties and copied the location. Then I pasted it into this window, then added before the link address and at the end of the link address. And magically, it appears. pixiedust:

Uh Oh!! Now that the old thread is closed, I'm not allowed to edit any of my posts. And I am NOT starting all over again with everyone's pics and ADRs. So there are just going to have to stay as they are now. I suppose I can add the new pics to the first post....

WLfamily...right click onto your picture and go to properties. Then "copy" the address. Then when you go to post, click on the icon on the same bar as the bold, italics, etc...it's the yellow square with a mountain in it. A window will pop up. Paste the address that you copied into that window and hit ok. Then your image should appear in your post. Hope that makes sense!

At Walmart, they have clear contact paper. It says laminating right on it. Says "great for scrapbooking". Paste 2 back to back, then laminate it with the clear contact paper (which isn't paper). then punch a hole in it and put a notebook ring through it or a caribiner or short beaded chain. Then hang it from your lanyard or stroller or handbag or backpack. :yay:

Okay - my middle child, DD9 (will turn 10 while at WDW), came to me today and asked if I had washed any of her clothes. I told her that she should have plenty of clean clothes in her drawers. She said that there was nothing in there, none that matched. Puzzled, I went and checked her dresser and sure enough she was right. What happened? :confused: Well, for the past two weeks, I have been sneaking in an outfit or two of the kids' clothes into their suitcases that I have in our bedroom. Since our trip is a secret (it's been very hard keeping this secret :scared:), she had no idea where all of her clothes were. I had to pull an outfit out of her suitcase, with the door closed of course, so that she would have something to wear! :lmao: I guess you can say that maybe I got a little carried away with packing! :rotfl:

I have 4 days to accomplish everything... time crunch here, I've been messing around for so long, I thought it would be easier. Yesterday I started my "gotta leave the house clean" mode, so instead of packing I organized the girls' toy box and toy closet.:confused3 Brad thinks I am the only woman on Earth that needs an organized toy box...:laughing: Got all my docs to my itouch, and finished my planning journal/more info than I'll ever need/information overload, went to the bank, confirmed my room, got info for my dog sitter ready, charging DS, camera batteries and Garmin, but I am not packed!

You know, I don't remember it either. Guess I'm always looking further down the street and for some reason just happened to get that shot this time. One of the reasons I have enjoyed living close by and going so much, I keep finding new things.

So if you see a pair of glaringly white legs in camo's with a Grumpy shirt on, that's my man!

Yeah, I'm still trying to get our July 2007 WDW vacation scrapbook done...I think I have 4-6 more layouts to do -- and that's just getting the pictures down -- I haven't done any journaling or embellishments yet. That darn album WILL be done before we leave next Friday! Oh my gosh, we leave next Friday. SO much still to do!

If it makes you guys feel better, there is a place to put in your celebration, and then yesterday I got a sweet little email from Disney with info about our hotel, driving directions, phone numbers, and of course asking us to order something from the Disney florist. :laughing: I did it at 10 ten days out, and reconfirmed by phone yesterday at 5 days with our room requests (they were already noted), so you can always call and speak with someone,too!

That is hilarious! That's one good thing about my girls knowing about the trip -- I haven't had to worry about sneaking their clothes out. Of course, I do have a few little surprises that I need to manage to get into their suitcases without them knowing about it (character pajamas). I bought them each a little stuffed Minnie Mouse and I'm going to sneak those out to the car and buckle them in to the girls' seatbels just before we get in the car so that the girls will find them when we get in the car. I'll sneak their new pajamas into their suitcases when DH and I take the suitcases out to the car, so that when they open their suitcases at the resort their new pajamas will be on top. Two new t-shirts will be in their welcome baskets when we get there...so now I just have to figure out when to surprise them with their new bracelets....any thoughts?

I started putting my planning notebook spreadsheets together last night...and when I started filling them in, I realized that I have lunch AND dinner ADRs on two of our dates...we're only doing 5 ADRs total, so I really don't think I want to have two each on two of our days...the problem is that two of the TS restaurants we want to go to are both in EPCOT and we only have a day and a half in EPCOT scheduled right now, and we can't do the ADRs on the first day (my parents will be with us that day so we're doing a family dinner at 'Ohana)....and then the other day is DHS and one of those is our Fantasmic dining package, so I can't change that but my girls really wanted to try 50s Prime Time Cafe, and we're only planning one DHS day.

UGH. I knew when the reservations all were, but I guess seeing them on the spreadsheet in table format made me realize that I really don't want lunch and dinner ADRs on the same date. So now I need to rethink the ADRs. And I was SO proud of myself for not changing any of them....

I keep debating whether to change a couple of my reservations. I was reading last night at barnes and noble and thought perhaps I should have picked Jiko instead of Cali grill as our one NICE dinner. Or perhaps I should have picked Cape May Cafe instead of Biergarden for our Epcot night. Online ADRs are killing me, because I can switch at will :)

We've always left our stuff out, but I guess that's risky because anyone could take your stuff. I try to bring no cash, and just my room key, plus towel, sunblock. So basically nothing worth more than the cost of the locker. :) I'd get to the water parks early, they often close in the summer by 1 ish. If you want to do one, I'd be there by 11 am at the latest.

We went on a day they had EMH - we got on a bus at 7am and were at TL before EMH started. My kids were able to hit all the major slides before the park even opened at the regular time of 9am. I definately recommend getting there early. The waterparks can be confusing so pick a spot with an easy landmark so everyone can find it.

That is so funny. I'm proud of you for being able to keep it a secret. When I was researching Disney I was trying to keep it a secret and every time I got on the computer one of the kids popped into the room so that went out the door fast.:rotfl:

SO cute! Disney character underwear were a huge help when I was potty training my older DD -- her favorite Disney movies were Lion King and Little Mermaid and so I bought her underwear with Lion King and Little Mermaid characters -- it made potty training really easy because she didn't want to have an accident on her favorite characters. LOL Hey -- whatever works!

I printed the rest of the graphics for our t-shirts last night. Now I just have to cut them all out. :scared1:

DW's job is to wash all the shirts :laundy: before we apply the iron-ons. I'll let you know when THAT happens. She has lots of summer activities planned for her and DS5. Tuesday-free movies, Wednesday-scrapbooking, Thursday-free movies. "You have a 16 day trip to pack for, woman!!!" :rotfl:

I also made a few window clings for our room. :cool1:

I bought mine from a DISer over on the Creative DISigns board. Before you buy make sure you know if you need "light" iron-on paper or "dark" iron-on paper.

Light paper is actually clear, so everthing that isn't printed becomes the color of the shirt you use. If you have white in your picture and are using a shirt that isn't white, this might not be the best paper for you.

Dark paper is actually white. Everything that isn't printed stays white. This is the paper I use.

As far as how I am keeping it a secret from the kids, I keep telling them that I would like to go to different states each day. The other day I told my DD12 that I wanted to go to Graceland. She said "What's that?" When I told her, she just said, "Why would we want to go there?" :rotfl2: We are just going to load up the car and set out and tell them that we have no idea where we are going but that we will just end up somewhere. I am sure that she will figure it out once we hit Florida, that is if she isn't sleeping!

That is hilarious! That's one good thing about my girls knowing about the trip -- I haven't had to worry about sneaking their clothes out. Of course, I do have a few little surprises that I need to manage to get into their suitcases without them knowing about it (character pajamas). I bought them each a little stuffed Minnie Mouse and I'm going to sneak those out to the car and buckle them in to the girls' seatbels just before we get in the car so that the girls will find them when we get in the car. I'll sneak their new pajamas into their suitcases when DH and I take the suitcases out to the car, so that when they open their suitcases at the resort their new pajamas will be on top. Two new t-shirts will be in their welcome baskets when we get there...so now I just have to figure out when to surprise them with their new bracelets....any thoughts?

Maybe surprise them in the morning - place it on their pillow or serve it to them on a disney paper plate!

There is a thread in Theme Parks from someone there now that says to bring bug spray, there are mosquitoes everywhere!!!!! This Diser said they've not had problems with them until this year... One more thing for the suitcase!

all this waiting, planning, dreaming... it's finally going to happen - my summer 2009 WDW vacation!

when i was driving home from work, listening to Illuminations music, i just screamed out loud with excitement... hope no other drivers heard me! :lmao: i'm that excited!!

just printed out all the planning documents for my little file - and a 'prettier' and simpler version for the rest of the party.

suitcases are packed and downstairs, waiting for last few things to be thrown in tomorrow

DBF is doing a very important job this evening... eating everything out the fridge that'll go bad if we don't use it today!

after work tomorrow, we will be heading over to DBF's parents & younger sister's house to stay there - before heading to airport thurs morning... his older sister & her DBF (and possibly DN... fingers crossed still, it's killing me not knowing if she's coming or not!) are driving down from the north of england too... so the whole party will be together!
can't wait to give out my Disney Eve presents to everyone! :wizard:

It has been reported that the Yeti is WORKING!:banana::banana::banana:

Now when we went last EE wasn't even built. So my DD and I basically are going to AK for this ride. Plus all the other crazy rides that she was not tall enough for last time.
I had read that the yeti was working in "B" mode, it had strobes on it and if you weren't looking for it you could miss it. But now I hear it has been restored to full "A" mode. I guess they worked after hours to get it going. Yay Disney!

In case anyone is interested I think I am going to drop our ADR for Hollywood & Vine on the 20th at 4:05 if anyone is interested in picking it up. We had done that ADR for the Fantasmic package but now they are showing Fantasmic 5 times while we are there so I think we will take our chances with catching one of the shows. I will probably drop it early next week.

Yikes:scared1: I have a plastic tub filled will a bath mat (cuz there are none in the tubs at pop - got it a dollar store - leaving it behind when I go.), window and door decorations, shoe organizer to hang in the closet so all our toiletries aren't on counter, 5oo cans of sunscreen , camera, camera charger, tension rod and curtain to hang between sink and bed area (my kids have reached the privacy stage),
coffee, and filters and mugs and sugar,

You know maybe mext time we should just think about taklng a mobile home.:confused3:lmao:

Well, Mom had a headche this evening, she's really been overdoing it trying to get a lot of stuff done before Dad's surgery. They have 1 or 2 appts a day while we are gone between the two of them. So, we still had Miss Sophie home with us this evening. Not too disappointed, though. Mom needs her rest.

Finally got DH to get his shorts out, and toldl me which ones he wants to take, and he got all the camera stuff together, also.

I'd love to take a tub instead of a box, with all the extras, but I don't think it will all fit in the trunk of our little gas saving Kia as it is! Nothing like being crammed like sardines for 12 hours with two monsters disguised as princesses! JK, they're adorable sweet girls, but they do the typical sibling fighting in the car. My brothers are so much older than me, I don't remember any road trips with them. DH swears this is normal, and that he has turned into his father. "Do you want me to stop the car?" "No, we're not stopping for you to go to the bathroom." My personal favorite - "If we stop for something to drink, you'll just have to go pee again. Swallow your spit!"

Well, Mom had a headche this evening, she's really been overdoing it trying to get a lot of stuff done before Dad's surgery. They have 1 or 2 appts a day while we are gone between the two of them. So, we still had Miss Sophie home with us this evening. Not too disappointed, though. Mom needs her rest.

Finally got DH to get his shorts out, and toldl me which ones he wants to take, and he got all the camera stuff together, also.

I'd love to take a tub instead of a box, with all the extras, but I don't think it will all fit in the trunk of our little gas saving Kia as it is! Nothing like being crammed like sardines for 12 hours with two monsters disguised as princesses! JK, they're adorable sweet girls, but they do the typical sibling fighting in the car. My brothers are so much older than me, I don't remember any road trips with them. DH swears this is normal, and that he has turned into his father. "Do you want me to stop the car?" "No, we're not stopping for you to go to the bathroom." My personal favorite - "If we stop for something to drink, you'll just have to go pee again. Swallow your spit!"

Oh.... I feel for you flipflopmom! Driving that far in a gas saving Kia?! I can imagine that because we drove from Houston to Disney non-stop in 1990 in a 1987 Ford Escort Wagon.. talk about sardines!! But we only had one toddler then. These days, I can't imagine doing it. We were young then! :laughing: We have a Honda Civic and we can't even make it 5 miles to the mall with all of us in it without the oldest 2 fighting! I've been daydreaming about how cool it would be if our Silverado had a truck cap. Then we'd be able to bring even more stuff!! :laughing::laughing: Of course the 15mpg would cost WAY too much. We'll have to settle for 20mpg in my van with the Thule on the top! At least at 8 passenger capacity, all 5 of us would fit inside. The key is my MIL and niece are meeting us there, so we do need to be able to fit 7, so only one seat can be sacrificed if necessary.

Yikes:scared1: I have a plastic tub filled will a bath mat (cuz there are none in the tubs at pop - got it a dollar store - leaving it behind when I go.), window and door decorations, shoe organizer to hang in the closet so all our toiletries aren't on counter, 5oo cans of sunscreen , camera, camera charger, tension rod and curtain to hang between sink and bed area (my kids have reached the privacy stage),
coffee, and filters and mugs and sugar,

You know maybe mext time we should just think about taklng a mobile home.:confused3:lmao:

DD12 said she already knew something was up since I was always looking at WDW stuff. :confused3 DD9 was so excited when she found out that we would be there for her birthday that she squeezed the air out of me! :banana: Now they are helping me pack by bringing me everything that they own! DD12 has already begun charging her digital camera and we still have 6 days until we leave! :rotfl:

Now I wonder how I am going to make it another 6 days? It's hard enough with my own excitement, but throw in three ready-to-go-now kiddos, we all might end up with major anxiety!! :scared:

It seems like there was somewhere else to post this, but of course now I can't find it (it is 4:30 in the morning though, so that's my excuse!)

I just wanted to say we canceled our 12:40pm reservation for 10 at 50's Primetime on Thursday, July 23 if someone wants to call tomorrow and try to grab it! I'm sad we aren't going to be able to go, but I decided rather than have to go back there on a second day just for the meal, I'd rather have a chance to revisit MK or Epcot (which we only have a half day planned for Epcot! I know we'll need another half day, if not a full one!)

Anxiety I am familiar with!:laughing: We tried keeping it a secret for a while, booked in Feb. and didn't tell the girls until Easter. Anna Kathryn (9) knew I was always looking at the stuff, even told one of my good friends that is the librarianat our school that I stayed on Disney sites all the time. She knew we were waiting until Easter, so she told her it takes a year or more to plan a trip! 2 months was long enough for me! I have to say though, since it is their first trip, I'm glad we did tell them. They've been able to watch the YouTube videos and prepare a little, and be excited with us!

I remember car trips like that when I was growing up...on this trip we'll have four of us in our Honda Civic (we sold our minivan last year and it's trips like this that make me really miss it!). Fortunately, if my girls start arguing during the trip, we can pull over and put one (or both) of them in my parents' vehicle! ;)

I never would have been able to keep the secret -- I've been having a hard enough time keeping some of the surprises secret that I've planned (the Minnie Mouse stuffed animals, the character pajamas, the bracelets, the welcome baskets, and our Coral Reef dinner on our last night in the parks).

Finally got something else crossed off my "to do" list -- we got DD10's autograph book made last night. It turned out really cute. My plan for tonight is to put my park planner book together. I won't print out my spreadsheets and put those in until the last minute, though, as they are still subject to change. LOL

Also bought some single load packets of laundry detergent...I think I'm just going to bite the bullet and plan to do laundry on our mid-week non-park day...if I do that, we won't have to pack as many outfits. I don't like to spend time on my vacation doing laundry, but it would be nice to pack fewer outfits. DD 14 and I like to change into clean, fresh clothes after our mid-afternoon break, which means two outfits per day for us. For an eight day trip that's a lot of outfits. So I'll just do laundry. Anyone know how much it costs to do laundry at CBR?

Here's our current itinerary -- still subject to change:

Friday, 7/17 -- arrive at CBR, check-in, go swimming, watch the fireworks from the beach
Saturday, 7/18 -- EPCOT (this is my parents' only park day and that's the park Mom really wants to go to)
Sunday, 7/19 -- non park day...go to church with Mom and Dad then get some lunch...Mom and Dad will then leave to drive home and we'll spend the rest of the day exploring the resorts and probably do the pedal boats at CBR. Maybe spend the evening on the Boardwalk?
Monday, 7/20 -- MK, DD 10 has a BBB appointment at 8 a.m.
Tuesday, 7/21 -- DHS
Wednesday, 7/22 -- either Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach, spend the evening at DTD
Thursday, 7/23 -- AK (probably just until mid-afternoon, then we'll hop to another park in the evening)
Friday, 7/24 -- probably split the day between MK and EPCOT
Saturday, 7/25 -- either Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach, spend the evening at DTD
Sunday, 7/26 -- drive home :sad1:

I imagine we'll end up park hopping on a few different days...just depends on what the girls are in the mood for. We'll also take a mid-afternoon break each day to go back to the hotel and rest, swim, or whatever.

I am glad I was able to do a pirate room. We are fans of the movies and even my DD thought they looked cool.

I hate doing laundry too but we will need to also. Last year we got up really early (before 7am) - there was nobody at all in the laundry room. We through a load in and went and got breakfast at the food court, brought it back to the pool area and ate there. It worked great. That was at Pop though and I think the food court at CBR will be a lot further away.

We made our autograph books last night too. I bought some index card spirals and covered them with scrapbook paper. The kids put 3D disney stickers on them. I'm planning on putting their pictures w/ the character above the signatures. That way they will have more of a keepsake book. They turned out pretty cute, for as easy as it was.

My DH tried the grumpy shirts on last night and announced they were too small. Umm, liar. That's okay, Disney store here I come. I wish I could find him a pink grumpy shirt and make him wear that!:rotfl:

My Mom just called and asked me what time we're leaving to drive down to WDW next Friday. I told her that I thought we would leave around 4 pm, since she was getting off work at 2:00. She said she and Dad want to leave ASAP after she got off work so we could get there earlier and have the chance to explore the resort and swim before it got too late. YEA!!! I'm excited! So now we'll probably leave at 2:30 and get there by 7 pm. :dance3:

That's a cute idea for an autograph book! My DDs is 6x6 and we had it comb bound at Office Depot with clear plastic covers on the front and back (a grand total of $2.64!)...used white cardstock for the pages and then she picked out some cute scrapbook paper for the cover and we did coordinating solid cardstock on the signature pages (layered it over the white cardstock). She also used some cute little flower stickers that coordinated. After we get home, she'll put the 3-D character stickers on the pages with that character's signature and we'll put the picture of her with the character on the opposite page. It was so quick and easy -- less than an hour total (even by the time we went to Office Depot to have the binding done). Fun!!

I was thinking about trying RideMax on this trip to see how they compare, but honestly RideMax seems a bit complicated (from what I've read on the threads) and UOG is SO simple.

I haven't been too active on this thread but now that I am less than two weeks away I can barely contain my excitement!! My first time at Disney with no kids at all. Yes, I'm only getting one day at the parks but I plan to make the most of it by drinking my way around the world!

5 days in Orlando with lots of dun stuff planned...I cannot wait!

Tues 21st, Arrive and spend evening at DTD with fave cousin!
Wed 22nd, Epcot...TT, Soarin', and then hitting the World Showcase hard!
Thur 23rd, Check out a few reosrts for Feb trip, pick up DD and DH in the evening.
Fri 24th, Not sure...the plan was to avoid the parks with DD since we are going in Feb, but I just odn't think I can do it! Prob spend time at DTD and te resort pool.
Sat 25th, Best Friends wedding which is the point of our trip!
Sun 26th, Go home ...:scared:

That's a cute idea for an autograph book! My DDs is 6x6 and we had it comb bound at Office Depot with clear plastic covers on the front and back (a grand total of $2.64!)...used white cardstock for the pages and then she picked out some cute scrapbook paper for the cover and we did coordinating solid cardstock on the signature pages (layered it over the white cardstock). She also used some cute little flower stickers that coordinated. After we get home, she'll put the 3-D character stickers on the pages with that character's signature and we'll put the picture of her with the character on the opposite page. It was so quick and easy -- less than an hour total (even by the time we went to Office Depot to have the binding done). Fun!!

Got some more laundry done, packing is now almost complete, letters requesting volunteers for BBQ judges completed and ready to mail out.

Somehow this afternoon I ended up with niece and nephew - :woohoo: Yay double the preteen bickering as before.:rotfl:

Still need to get all the dog's things and the dogs over to my moms house.

go to Costco for traveling snacks and breakfast items

So if I subscribe to RideMax and end up thoroughly and completely confused (:confused:) will you help me figure it out?

I don't think UG lets you pick the pace you want to go...when I tried to do a customized touring plan on their website it seemed like it wanted *me* to pick the order I wanted to do the rides -- and I thought that was their job. LOL I just want to enter the time we plan to get to the park, the rides we want to do, and what time we plan to leave for our afternoon break...then possibly repeat for our evening plans. Is RideMax that simple?

Yep, you tell it the day, the park, the time you'll get in line for your first ride, your break time, your return time, and the time you'll get in line for you last ride, and there you go! It's done. If you are park hopping, you just shorten the time you'll be in the park, and start the evening one at that time in that park.... I got frustrated b/c it kept telling me I had too many attractions for the time allowed! But it kept me from having expectations too high. I'm going to run mine again tomorrow or Friday to see what I get... It's a good tool, but it is VERY PRECISE. 9:05 get in line....wait time 7 minutes, ride time 5 minutes, walk time to next attraction 3 minutes, etc. It is definitely minute by minute!

I made some tags with my LGMH's. I glued them back to back, then laminated them with clear Contact laminating paper (at Walmart-kitchen dept.). Trimmed the edges, punched a hole and stuck a note book ring through it. I did two styles: with the backing and without. For without, I peeled the LGMH off the backing card, then glued 2 back to back. I wrote my Dis name Mindy5767 on most of them. Forgot the first one. I'll take pic and upload it so I can post it here.

A towel tag is for our bath towels. We have 7 people. We're vacation club. In the DVC villas, we get trash and towel service mid week only. We probably will dry our bathtowels in the dryer so they're not hanging all over the place. So we can tell them apart, I'm making tags. I will cut out a camp nametag and iron or sew it to a piece of fabric. I'll stick a safety pin in it to pin to the towel. I will have to come up with something creative for MIL and DN since I don't have camp name tags for them. I even have mine from childhood.

So far, I've printed them on scrapbooking cardstock. Don't have any white, so I used an offwhite that has a light speckle design. I cut it out and laminated it, and I'll glue a pin back onto it. I don't have any iron-on paper and don't know anything about window clings. I also need to make my Mickey head banner, which will have to be regular green because the heavy fabric didn't come in lime. In fact, only swimsuit spandex and thule came in lime. I've cleaned up the scrapbooking stuff so the table is clear to take out my second favorite sewing machine (my #1 machine needs repair:mad:).

We're driving - splitting it up into 2 days. Hope to reach pensacola the first night and then have a room booked off site for Sunday night and that way we can check in bright and early on Monday morning

Sure I'll help you but I promise if I can figure it out then probably a monkey could do it.
When I first got it I had a problem where it assigned me a ride time after park had closed - I e-mailed Mike - the plan creator and he got back to me immediately. Then he fixed the glitch in the system. So if you are having trouble know that the program people will be right there to help you out
Also you can ask questions on the ride max user thread and someone on there will tell you how to figure out what you want it to do:thumbsup2

Great flag! I made a banner out of red construction paper to tape inside our window at POP! I wrote in silver glue glitter "Proud Member of Disboards.com." Then I spelled out with letter stickers "Hicks Family" & "July Thread". I put 4 LGMH's as well as character stickers on there. Hopefully I won't have any trouble getting it to stick to the window. I also made a stroller tag and put LGMH's on it as well with our name and cell # in case it gets lost. :goodvibes

I had to laugh last night, DH changed our countdown clock, he wanted it to get to 0 when we leave, not when we get there, he was so proud of himself!

I awoke every hour on the hour last night! Maybe I'm finally getting excited! We got the DVD players hooked up in the car last night, did another trial run of the trunk,and I'm all packed except for about 6 or 7 last minute things!

Question for those of you driving - what do you wear on the trip down? I like to ride in comfort, but really don't want to show up at the happiest place on Earth looking like Cinderella when her step sisters were done with her. Do you ride in comfort, style, or a compromise of both?

Anyone putting a sign on your car on the way down? I wanted to, but have no idea how to do a window cling, and DH said it might get in his way. Grump.

We have had a very hectic and stressful last few months since we got the new kiddos( very difficult adjustment from 2 kids to 4 overnight), but we do love them! Anyway we are just thrilled to death to be able to take them to Disney. They are excited, but since they don't know what to expect(I think they are expecting something like 6 Flags LOL:lmao:) they aren't quite as :banana: as we are!!!
They'll get it once they are there I'm sure!:yay:

OKay, July buddies. Wake up, I need therapy! :scared1: I have last minute second guessing myself anxiety. We shouldn't have done DxDP, too much food and time. I don't know what order to ride the rides, and don't like what Ridemax is telling me to do. I shouldn't have done a fireworks cruise and Mickey's Welcome on the first night, too much in one day, too late of a night. Spent wayyyy to much on Mickey's Welcome. Our first day willl be rushed, rider swap won't work, because DD will get sick or scared and won't want to ride anything twice, and I won't get to ride the big rides b/c I want DH to ride them with her first, or he'll just say "Nevermind, I won't ride it"

Little one will be disappointed b/c she can't spend the night with Cinderella, she'll be scared of the characters and we have 7 character meals, and she'll spend too much time waiting for us to ride big rides and hate it. I'll forget to put her underwear on AGAIN, I'll forget to put my underwear on...Dh wil get arrested b/c he'll lose his temper and assault some poor Brazilian teenager, our car will break down, we'll get struck by lightening, we'll all get the N1H1 flu, the bank will block the charges to the debit card, the water pipes will burst while we are gone and ruin our house, I'll have a heart attack from all the stress......... Think I've covered it all?:rotfl: I feel better already!

As far as what to wear on the drive down...I will probably wear khaki shorts and a cute shirt, or maybe one of the knee-length, "easy breezy" skirts I bought for this trip. Something comfortable, but still cute.

I'm not putting a sign on the car on the way down...DH (a grump) doesn't want me to. I shouldn't complain -- after all, he did agree to go back to WDW for eight days and let me have free rein over planning the entire trip (other than telling me last night that he's not a big fan of fireworks, particularly those where he has to stake out a viewing location 30-60 minutes in advance and just sit/stand around waiting, and so he'll probably leave and go back to the resort while we stay and watch fireworks)...he just isn't the kind of guy who will wear character shirts and think it's fun to have signs on the car (or the windows of our room...although I'm going to do that one anyway, I think!).

I hope the cortisone shot works for your DH!

We have had a very hectic and stressful last few months since we got the new kiddos( very difficult adjustment from 2 kids to 4 overnight), but we do love them! Anyway we are just thrilled to death to be able to take them to Disney. They are excited, but since they don't know what to expect(I think they are expecting something like 6 Flags LOL:lmao:) they aren't quite as :banana: as we are!!!
They'll get it once they are there I'm sure!:yay:

The kids will absolutely love it -- it would be neat to be there and see the expressions on their faces when they step into the parks for the first time!

OKay, July buddies. Wake up, I need therapy! :scared1: I have last minute second guessing myself anxiety. We shouldn't have done DxDP, too much food and time. I don't know what order to ride the rides, and don't like what Ridemax is telling me to do. I shouldn't have done a fireworks cruise and Mickey's Welcome on the first night, too much in one day, too late of a night. Spent wayyyy to much on Mickey's Welcome. Our first day willl be rushed, rider swap won't work, because DD will get sick or scared and won't want to ride anything twice, and I won't get to ride the big rides b/c I want DH to ride them with her first, or he'll just say "Nevermind, I won't ride it"

Little one will be disappointed b/c she can't spend the night with Cinderella, she'll be scared of the characters and we have 7 character meals, and she'll spend too much time waiting for us to ride big rides and hate it. I'll forget to put her underwear on AGAIN, I'll forget to put my underwear on...Dh wil get arrested b/c he'll lose his temper and assault some poor Brazilian teenager, our car will break down, we'll get struck by lightening, we'll all get the N1H1 flu, the bank will block the charges to the debit card, the water pipes will burst while we are gone and ruin our house, I'll have a heart attack from all the stress......... Think I've covered it all?:rotfl: I feel better already!

Oh boy, I could have totally written this post myself! In fact, I was going to post something almost identical myself! LOL Last night I went through all of our ADRs with DH (I'm cancelling two today), my plan for each day, asked for his input, and found out he doesn't want to see any of the fireworks and will probably leave the girls and me alone to do fireworks while he goes back to the resort. I told him that I thought the fireworks -- especially Wishes -- was important family bonding time. Yeah, he didn't agree. :guilty:

You do have two "stressors" on your list that I don't have, though -- forgetting to put underwear on your DD, and on yourself? It would probably take a major brain lapse to forget to put underwear on...so I think you're pretty safe on that one.

I hope your DH doesn't assault a Brazilian teenager (truth be told, I'm not a fan of the HUGE tour groups -- I don't care where they're from)...we'll be watching for news reports. *wink*

As for the rest of it, you've planned and planned and, like most of us, just want this to be a wonderful, amazing, magical, happy vacation for your family. I keep second guessing myself on everything -- last night I was wondering if we should have done the dining plan on this trip, even though I know it doesn't make sense for us to do it and I was the one who decided not to do it -- I am an obsessive planner and I tend to second guess myself all the way through.

Sit back, relax, and just go with the flow. Enjoy watching your daughter have magical moments...and if things don't go perfectly according to plan, just relax and make the best of it. (And if you couldn't' tell, I'm also giving myself this pep talk!)

Had another Disney dream last night...we got to CBR to check-in and I slipped the CM a note about the two welcome baskets that are supposed to be there for my girls...and they couldn't find them. They had given them to someone else! And my parents' welcome gift had the wrong items in it. I don't like these dreams!

As a teacher I always get like 1 week after we are done with the school year where my body kinda gives up, you know.

Not run errands cuz I don't feel it's safe for me to drive.

But I gotta clean a bit. Pack my carry on. You know, do a few things.

Okay slow down your making me hyperventilate. I too have been having anxiety about overplanning this trip but It will work out. If our touring plans are too much for us then I will just chuck them out the window and we'll wing it. I'm afraid I may end up being like the "stick to the plan nazi" when we get there - so I just have to keep reminding myself to relax and enjoy it.

To answer your other question - I dress comfortable for that long car ride - but then we are spending Sunday night off site - so I can dress appropriately for my arrival at the big WDW.

If your husband needs someone to have his back for the Brazilian thing - give me a holler. I hate rudeness.

Follow me to 1:30 am, my husband rolls over and punches me directly in the nose. Nothing like being woke (or is it woken) up from a dead sleep by a sock in the nose. Oh my gosh, did he feel bad! I tried to tell him I was all right, but I had to get up to blow my nose. It made me get congested. So he asked if I was okay until about 2 this morning. Well,,,, I did have a major brain lapse and forgot to put underwear on the 2 year old before church Sunday morning! Mom realized it halfway through church! Thank God the 9 year old can dress herself!

I love all the crafts going on! I have to definitely drop by home depot to make some mickey tags! I would love to be spotted one day!!! lol

We check in in 10 days and I cant wait! The wedding is next friday and I am looking forward to the honeymoon!!
