Ok so sign-ups are this time next week and since these are new to the majority of you i want your feedback on what you would like to do. Theme's group size Etc.....
2,4,or 6 inchies per person? I'm leaning towards 2 to keep it simple
I'm gonna go for 4 or 5 people per group MAX
and 2 MOO's MAX per person. MOO's groups will be 4 people
Explanation of what is to be made:
Inchies: 1X1 square embellished or decorated anyways you want . Must be on at least chipboard or mat board.
*I'm not putting any expectations or limits on how much or how little you embellish It's a 1 inch square there is only so much a person can do.*
MOO's
1 inch wide by 3 inches tall rectangle Embellished. Must be on at least chipboard or mat board.
Same embellishment expectations for the Inchies go for the Moo's as well.
Pics for examples:Inchies

MOO's: (These are not mine FYI) I found these on a German Blog

http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj163/azr6mom/My%20Moos/Moos_school_days.jpg
Theme's I'm thinking about
A.Disney/ General
B.Disney/ Movies
C.Disney/ Girl-ish
D.Disney Boy-ish
E.Ethnic/ Countries/ Places etc...
F.Flowers
G.Vintage
H.Animals
I. Fantasy
J. Vacation/Really anything that says vacation to you. (no go-go songs though ok....)
K. Birthday
L. Anything goes
These same groups will go for MOO's as well.
Please give me feedback this is my first time hostessing.Be Kind :scared:

I am interested in this one. I like your groups. A,B,C,D,F,H are the most appealing to me.
Questions:
1. How do you cut the mat board? My dad has a special cutter to make frames, but I'd rather not have to track him down to get him to cut me some.
2. I know ACM sells mat board but I never really looked at it. DOes in come in all colors?
3. WHen is this due?
Thanks!

If you have the guillotine type of paper cutter, it cuts the chipboard or mat board just fine.

Hmmm. This is very interesting. What is the general cost for matboard? I was laid off last week so money is a big issue. I will probably have a new job fairly quickly but it will mean full time travel again so I will then have hotel time to do some fun things like this:)
I have only slider cutters. Making memories one and then the cheap fiskars ones. Is there anywhere to order them cheaply? I have so much damn paper I wouldn't need to buy any and have some good ideas :)

I just bought a box of ATC cards from yhe person you and Michi suggested.
Can I cut those for these?
ATC, no stickers. But stickers are ok on these?
How many do you make pp?
This sounds interesting but not quite sure but I will probably end up playing.:)

More questions!
1. I make 2 inchies that are exactly the same per person, or the two inchies can be different?
2. Does each set have to be exactly the same? I am sure I have plenty of partial sets of jolees, brads, bling, paper etc. So the set I make for AWM may be different from the set that you get, but both sets would be
in theme.
3. Will metal embellishments go through the mat board?
4. I like the idea of an animal group too.
5. For your groups, Disney general, disney -girlish -- when we sign up do we pick a specific theme, like TinkerBell?

4. I like the idea of an animal group too. I will add that
5. For your groups, Disney general, disney -girlish -- when we sign up do we pick a specific theme, like TinkerBell? Yes

I've seen them used as accents on the page, or placed on large tags and then placed on the page. I don't think they are "collectible" like ATCs - although I might be wrong.
For some inspiration, I like to look at this blog - http://kopperhead100.blogspot.com/ - she hosts swaps of themed ATCS, inchies, twinchies, and such. There are some really creative people on there.
Girl, I am trying to save money, and haven't signed up for any new swaps - but I will sign up for yours. :goodvibes The good thing about the smaller canvas, I can use what I have, so I don't have to buy anything!!!
Although can we have more non-Disney themed groups - like holidays, birthdays, fantasy, vacation, etc? Just trying to think about all the stamps that I have and never use!!!

I always said I wouldn't do inchies, but I find them to be super cute & great embellies for pages.
I will for sure do the Flowers & Anything Goes groups...I wish we could have done the two swaps together. But I think it would have been complicated since they have to mail them to two seperate addys.
I'm so glad we became friends!:flower3:

Honestly you would be surprised what you could find All my Disney Inchies were done fron the the peices of the EK Success Disney Titles and embellies.Stickers are fine as long as there is something else besides the sticker. Like on my Mickey Inchie in the pic on the first page I put a paper Background his pants are a sticker and then i added an embellie. Or even put a sticker and then stickle around it.

You ladies are killing me! I am a huge Manilow fan. Boyfriend and I are even talking about planning a trip to Vegas with the sole intention of seeing Manilow in concert! So I guess I can't do "Weekend in New England" or "New York City Rhythm" or "Copacabana" for my vacation groups??? ;) But I will say that Tom Jones is still my first love - Manilow will never touch him!

I always wondered if I was the youngest Tom Jones fan - I'm only 32 - and when I saw him in Vegas, yeah, I was the youngest person there. But Boyfriend is 32 also, and he has seen Tom twice in Vegas. Tom just gets sexier with age, and he still sounds great!
But I don't do Humperdink or Neil Diamond or Wayne Newton - that's where I draw the line on coolness. :cool1:

I got it off allears.net Someone made it for a tribute for Austin, the young CM that died in the monorail crash last week.
It typically isn't done for CMs, would be nice if it was though. When BAWB (Bob from DIS Unplugged) passed away we had a clip of his ECV (EVC, never can remember) with a nice banner on it.
Anyway, I think we met Austin on one of our previous trips to WDW, he looks really familiar. I want to buy a monorail pin when I go to Disney (if I can find one) so I have a real pin and ribbon to wear on my lanyard. From what everyone has been saying, he was the epitome of what Walt wanted in a CM.
It's so sad that his life ended so soon.
Arizona Rita
07-12-2009, 07:09 PM
Bamb if they have the pins would you get one for me too? I can send payment before or after your trip.
I was wondering if we could start a list of things that can be used on inchies, etc?
Maybe there's something that someone else hasnt thought of?
I'll be able to use up stickers in different ways but it came to me that I still have a bunch of wire and skull beads left over from weird last year.
I wouldnt be able to contribute much because we all know my computer skills are bad. Whers'd Scotty when you need him? "Oh Computer?!" :goodvibes

OHMIGOSH!!! AZR, Does that rattle a memory in the back of my brain!
A long, long time ago even before the dinosaurs (when I was a kid)....The theme for our summer jamboree was "Countries Around the World". Each troup represented a different country and we made little tradeables that represented the country our troup was learning about, and traded them. My troup was Brazill and we made maps on small posterboard squares with some of the things Brazill is known for & adhered to the map (coffee bean, etc). It was so much fun.
Another year, we did a western theme and traded frames made out of wood. Then, also made little scrapbooks for the week!
Maybe I should blame those experiences on my swapping addiction!
Thanks for the memories!!

I was just going to do it here, in post one. I can edit her post, then she can edit it when she gets back on line.

She was online on the 11th, so maybe she only has access to a computer on the weekend. :confused3

With you being able to edit her posts, that would work for D_R to resume control.
If M-M runs the sign ups in this thread, she can keep just her one post updated and BAMB can take that post and update the OP. This way BAMB only needs to contrate on the one post and M-M can run interference with questions and stuff about the swap.
M-M can post the "sign up" page, could you reference that post # in the title BAMB?
BernardandMissBianca
07-14-2009, 12:20 PM
sure can.
M_M, run the sign ups on this thread, just give me the post number and I can put that in the title.
I still want to give her til the weekend. If for some reason she doesn't come back on, I will take over hosting duties and have the stuff mailed to me.
Hope all is well D_R!!!!!! I hope you don't think we are stepping on your toes, just trying to help out. I hope to hear from you soon and that you are ok. With everything going on with Holly I think we are all on edge about making sure the peeps are ok.
