Tomorrow is the big day. If you drive on I-95 tomorrow watch out. We are leaving at 7 pm for Florida. We expect to be there sometime on Wednesday morning.
Our best time in the past was 15 hours. I don't think we will beat that this time because we have someone else following us in another car, but we will try.
So, avoid I-95 tomorrow evening..... or if you like to drive slow..........GET OUT OF MY WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 .

You know we send along our wishes for an awesome trip too. ...and i know you do get there in record time nearly every time. Looking forward to seeing your posts on return - but the most important thing, after driving safely, is to enjoy yourselves - this is your vacation!! caroline and roger:)

WOW!! 15 hours??? I think our best time from Richmond is about 12.5 hours. I'll keep my ears open for the sonic boom as you pass by. :p

Have a safe drive down, Peggie. I'll see you Friday when I get there.

We were going to drive too we calculated about 18 hours from NY. You are further North WHAT KIND OF CAR ARE YOU DRIVING.

Instead we got plane tickets really great bargin last minute 116.00 round trip...

See you there on Fri night at the Contempory..

I'm Back

No sonic booms this time, we had another group following us and they couldn't keep up. So we got from CT to Orlando in 19 hours. Guess that is ok, but not quite record time.
We left Fl yesterday After unloading the car I had to sign on. so again, 19 hours. Our van still had 1/2 tank left each time they had to fill up their Volkswagen so we spent alot of time stopping for them.
We had a great time, I spent way too much money, and I cant wait to go back in Sept.
The new Beachclub Villas are beautiful. We had the 2 bedroom and were able to really spread out. We spent every day in the pools then the afternoons in the parks. Then at night back to the pool, and I finished up in my jacuzzi tub before hitting the hay each night.
It rained ALOT!. We had rain every day except one, but we had ponchos. A little rain didn't ruin my trip.
The weather was great, I love the heat, but why is it that when it finally got hot here in CT I was in FL. I missed the heat wave. Maybe we will get another one before the end of the summer. Peggie
