My Guide gets back tomorrow and I am going to purchase BCV. I have one question for the helpful people out there.
My daughter wants to celebrate her b-day at Animal Kingdom Lodge in October. I booked it with CR but I was wondering how difficult it is going to be to use my points for an October 26 visit to AKL.
What are your thoughts?

That is one of the more difficult times. The Food and Wine festival is happening and its also the time I am there almost every year. I think more people come for the festival than to see me.

They usually let you make a reservation as soon as you sign. They are always declaring more BCV units into 'point inventory" so you do have a shot at getting into your home resort, also, a little begging to your guide, tears help, may get you something at BCV.....I would hate to see you forced into accepting an OKW reservation, I have heard lots of bad stuff about that resort lately, since no one wants to stay there, it is usually easy to get.

Um, Rich, she wants to stay at the AKL on points.

I don't foresee a problem. While it's a fantastic resort, the AKL is still somewhat the "new kid on the block" and there's usually availability.
