Half Board Query!!!

Hiya sorry if this has been answered anywhere else but I've got a query about using the half board vouchers at face value....
is the face value what we're paying for them in advance ie £21 for plus and £36 for premium or are they worth more in disney (because broucher says saving of 15%?).

Also if you have premium voucher and you choose to eat in a non premium restaurant ie Annettes diner, do you get money to put towards drinks because otherwise it'd would be cheaper without vouchers???

We used our voucher at face value last week - for half board plus you get 26E per adult and 12E per child. Our bill for 4 adults and 1 child in Cafe Mickey came to 106E which is just more than the 4 adult vouchers. So we kept the child voucher for our next night.

We did not want to use vouchers in Annettes' as we only wanted a burger and drink - bill for 4 ad and 1 ch was about 84E and we used the child voucher we had left over from Cafe Mickey, which deducted 12E from this.

You get the best value if you eat the full 3 course set meal with a drink - or if you just order what you want and then pay the bill with the vouchers. Wait for your bill total though if using at face value - as you might not need to hand over all your vouchers, like we did.

If you don't think you'll eat 3 courses - and in this heat you may not - it's best to use them at face value - i think you will still save, and it also means that you can try and think ahead of where you want to eat. There is nothing worse than being hungry and having a 30 minute walk to get to where you want.

We ate at Walts, Cafe Mickey, Annettes, and the Parkside Diner in HNY - I've put reviews on each of the threads if you're interested.

Our HB+ where bought last year and I think we only paid something around £15-18 for them and £12 for the kids.

So tbh I didn't really use the face value thing.

East at Annettes and Steakhouse as well as our hotel.

Do remember the Steakhouse being 33euros which we used our HB+ vouchers on, so felt that was great value.

I clicked on the search this forum and put in 'half board premium'. :thumbsup2 It took me a couple of goes to find my kids names but found some in the end!:lmao: Now just have to buy the iron on transfer paper!:goodvibes
