I know that some TA give gifts to their customers and have it waiting for them in their stateroom, but has anyone ever given a gift to their TA for all the work that they have done for you?

My TA has been great. I talk to her via e-mail about once or twice a week and also call her if it is something really important. She is right there all the time answering questions and always finding out info for me (since I cannot discuss anything with DCL because I booked through a TA).

This is one of the first times that I have ever booked through a TA, I usually book everything on my own.

Please let me know your opinion.

Thanks,
Lisa

What a nice thought!! It certainly won't hurt. I can't think of any downside to it, other than your pocketbook. But, I'm sure a heartfelt thank you card + a token gift will be gladly received and appreciated by your TA.

If you truly feel that your TA went above and beyond, it is a nice gesture. I would recommend a bottle of spirits that is manufactured locally from one of the islands. You can get this for probably five bucks or under, and I am sure the TA would be thrilled.

I am a TA and I have to say that I am thrilled to receive gifts from clients. It doesn't happen often so when someone does bring a gift back it is special.
What I truly appreciate is when our clients come back and tell us that they had a great time. Often the only contact TA's have with clients after a trip is to hear complaints about a problem. Unfortunately we don't get to hear about the good trips often enough.

Any suggestions for a gift that could be mailed easily?

How about a fun pen or some notepads? I enjoy using travel related pens at work.:D
