Anyone know of any good deep sea fishing opportunities near LA? Or perhaps San Diego? I think DH and DS would love to do this while we are out in CA!

There are, but I haven't done them myself. I have friends who have done some deep sea fishing, but I can't remember if it was out of Orange County or Marina del Rey. I would imagine that the Web will be your best friend in that search! Again, you guys really need to get over to Catalina for a day - I have a feeling you would really like it a lot! In addition to all the cool tours happening now - like the Semi-Sub, fun Flying Fish tour and the Cruise to Seal Rocks - they have fishing and the ever-popular golf cart ride through the hills. I just KNOW you guys would have a blast!

I know, I bet it would be a lot of fun, we just don't have the time. I would love to explore more of CA, but we only have so many days. I am trying to find this extra excursion for the boys, for a couple of reasons, 1. they like fishing and 2. I think it would be a nice break from the parks for the boys. DD and I would prefer the parks.

That said, I did google quite a few different charter companies. I was just hoping someone here might have had good experiences with a particular company to recommend them. There are a few in the LA area. I think I will stick with them, because it would be too hard to get the boys off to San Diego for a 6am fishing trip!
