I would like C1 - Christmas and G1 - Summer.
Are we making 1 or 2 pages? The instructions say 1 or 2 12x12 pages, but then it looks like 1 page.

It's G2 Summer for the last group. Love what you are making for the color swap, I'm sure you are going to make awesome stuff for this one. :thumbsup2
PS- you are the only double in the summer groups, so you can make 8 of the same layout. This way you won't have to make a new design

[QUOTE=AlexWyattMommy;32590802]It's G2 Summer for the last group. Love what you are making for the color swap, I'm sure you are going to make awesome stuff for this one. :thumbsup2
Thanks. I have finally found a rhythm to scrapping between two houses. I made a file on my desktop with my spots and have them named by the due date. I have my two gallon bags and pull paper and ink that I think I will want to use for the spots into a two gallon bag and then I label the bag for the group to mail in. I place it in a rolling egg crate with my ATG gun, cutter and a baggie full of oldie goldie basics.
If I am doing a cricut piece, I do all my cuts and leave the tiny items on the mats and place the big ones in baggies and then assemble them at once.
Anyway, I'm not sure - how I am going to handle this swap. I have 2 pages done alreadyfor most spots but really want to make some new things.
AlexWyattMommy
07-06-2009, 09:49 PM
If you want to make some new things, offer the old ones up on the pass-it-forward thread. I need to go figure out what the points should be, but you may get some cool things that you can use. :thumbsup2

OK stupid question.... :scratchin
Do I actually assemble the page, or just include the pieces with the 12x12 page for my fellow swappers to assemble on their own?
AlexWyattMommy
07-16-2009, 08:47 AM
You assemble.
That is why there is so much leeway in the element selections. This gives you a great variety of layouts to design for your fellow swappers.
Looking forward to seeing what you make. :thumbsup2

F1. Winter. All the paper is pearlized. The rhinestones are brown. There is more brown paper at the top but the photo cut it off. I don't know what I will do about a title. I like all the words at the bottom and I am going to leave mine like that But to meet the requirements, I may cut out BRRR to send along wiith it. I got the patterned paper at ACM and the plain paper came out of the Recollections pearlized pack from Ms.

Arizona Rita
07-26-2009, 07:02 PM
Thanks Ladies, now I dont have to keep track of it. Most of my things come from Js or Ms.
or Rebecca's calendar swap this past year she wanted us to write what we were using. You did the November pages AWM ans the Halloween elements with those cute spiders! and Susie June with the Hello Kitty cart.

I don't think I've had a swap where you need to tell me your element ingredients.
Other boards sometimes do it, but we've never done that here.
I did that when I first started swapping (I sent the list to everyone), then I joined so many that I would run out of time or forget where all the supplies came from.
Most of my background paper is Bazzill but the patterned papers I get from all over.
I might make a master list for myself in the future so if anyone asks I would have it on hand.

Here's my prototype for D3 - Christmas
The words Merry Christmas came on the paper so I didn't make a topper. I thought about using stickles on the Merry Christmas, but I think it would be a bit much so I left it alone. The gingerbread man on the mat with the 4 little squares is pop-dotted so photos can slide underneath.

Yes, I made the threading water borders Now I have to go cut 6 more of them! I can do shorter ones fine, but with 12 inches I somehow get them crooked so it'll take me a few tries to get 6 more good ones!

It's really not hard to do, I just have a hard time keeping it positioned the same way when I'm doing a long piece so it ends up a little off. You will probably have no problems with it!

Here is my one group: Spring for A1.
The brackets are "Gemstones" from Joanns, it's like Bazzill Bling, if anyone hasn't heard of it.
Rest of the paper is "Scrapbook Walls".
The letters are Wild Asparagus, as I think I mentioned before.
Butterfly and tulip.. I don't know where they're from.

I used the new paper that Jo's is carrying and this is one of the Gemstones. Unfornaately its showing up as more white than "opal". The sleigh is actually cut at 4 inches, this is 5. On the back on the tags is another tag that you can write a message and the other paper is flocked paper.
Should I stickle the holy leaves or leave it alone?

This Friday is a major check in date.
I need you tell me exactly where you are with your swaps. Do you have your prototypes done? Please post photos or send them to me if you want them to be a surprise.
If you don't have your prototypes done, I need to know what you do have done.
Do you have it sketched out? Are your supplies bought? Are you on-time with your own schedule for completing them?
Prototypes are to be posted by September 4th.
If anyone is having trouble; school start issues, sports interference, combating kiddos, illness/allergy medicine head - please don't hesitate to tell me or ask for an angel. I don't dock browning points if you ask for help. You get a mental gold star for honesty and self-awareness. :teacher:
My update: I have all my supplies - and you're surprise? :rotfl2:
I will be re-sketching today and tomorrow because my first ones are so lame.
Will post photos of the sketches or prototypes if I get them done by Friday.

I am finalizing my design for the Valentines one- I know what I want to do - I need to see if I have paper that will work (everyone's may be a bit different). If i can't find anything in my stash i will probably redesign since I have about 3 inches of valentines type paper- I just need double sided ones - so I have to see what I have in that.
My plan is to have these completed and mail them out with the autograph swap, during the first week of September.

I've got an idea for my Mother's Day page - but it departs a little bit from the stated requirements... I'll work up a prototype in the next couple of days and post the pic to check with the other folks in that group (rlovew, SusieStone, and 123SA) to see if they're ok with it or not. Could you hand cut out the "jolly holiday" and then mount it on reindeer paper just large enough to cover the hole you made? This way it up a little and stands out more as the title. Nobody is going to see the hole it made once it is in a book.
See comments red.
I love the bottom paper and understand the desire to not cover it. I wouldn't be able to use it because of the crippling fear of covering the pretties.
I like the Holly Jolly paper & shinies on the top page.

THanks! I am very happy with this page -- looks better in person as they usually do. I like your ABC page! These firewoeks are from Stand and Salute -- the top two cut at 3 inches, with a silver shadow, the other one at 3.5 inches with a silver shadow. THe white one is pop-dotted.
Yes, stickles! I used crystal on the red and blue fireworks, and frosted lace on the white one. I couldn't decide what I like better, so two pages have red stickles on the red instead of the crystal.
THese are all finished -- thunder chased us away from the pool today, so I spent the afternoon assembling them. Just Halloween left.

I am so confused as to how that works, what folds how? It looks awesome though!
I can show you when you stop by at SDV- I am using the SEI class layout for my flower and garden pictures- I can fit almost 40 pictures on the 2 page layout.
You cut a 8 inch slit on the top and one side and then cut 4 inches on the bottom and other side (coming out from the cut sections). Then you fold the section in half both to the top, open and fold to the side, then turn it over and fold it diagonally. Then turn it back to the front and collapse the diagonals in to form a square- it isn't hard to do but very confusing to explain over the internet without step by step photos.

Here are two prototypes I worked on at the crop tonight!
First - B1 - Holidays
Rebecca, Susie, and Susan - this is the draft layout that departs from the "two 4x6 photo mats..." recommendations. I was uninspired about how to use those and thought that one larger photo would be nice for Mom's day. What do you think? I've only cut this one - and everything is loose, not glued down, waiting to hear what you think about it. The window box will remove (is a separate piece) so that you can slide the photo up into the arch. (ETA: What seems to be easier - now that I've had a chance to think about it! - is to just mount the blue/grey base to the page and have the entire arch frame and windowbox as an overlay you can adhere down yourself to assist with photo mounting.)The scroll can be a photomat or journal box. The paper is the blingy Gemstones from Jo's - we love this paper!
http://i694.photobucket.com/albums/vv307/pambybell/DSCN3793.jpg
Next - G2 - Summer
Here's the newest version - the only big change is the background of patterned paper in a sunburst design. And the tiny sunglasses on the title! :cool2:

Hope you guys like these -

I think the mother's day is great. Since I don't have children (just puppies) the larger photo mat would give me a place to put a picture of my mom and journal since I don't normally have Mother's Day photos.

Rebecca - that sounds great! Would you (and anyone else?) want me to change the title box and have it just say "Mother," "Mom," "Mommy," "Nana" or...whatever? Since there are only four folks in this group, I could easily make you each one with the title word you use. I KNOW the page is *supposed* to be for Mother's Day, but I want to make it so we all actually use it! (I don't think we've ever taken a photo on Mother's Day - so if I use it for myself, it will be a generic photo or the same if I'd stick a photo of my mother in...) Or, I'd have to make sure I get into a photo next Mother's Day!!! I'd love to hear your thoughts...

If it is not to much work and Ann doesn't mind sorting the group specially I would love it to just say Mother (as that is what I will use) otherwise I will just use it and journal on mother's days and my mother with my thoughts on those things.

OT -- the whole Susie/Susan thing gets me so confused -- here and when I worked I was Susan because I always sign my name and introduce myself that way. My immediate family and husband call me Sue (Which I HATE) also anyone that can't be bothered to listen to a name calls me Sue.
My neices and nephews and two closest friends and everyone I know through them calls me Susie.

I am sorry I am late in posting. I don't have anything started yet. I have been doing a bit of angeling for the Recipe Swap. Everything is sorted for that now and will be shipped back out to everyone the beginning of the week, so I'll be able to start on these.
I bought paper a long time ago. I bought something for my Christmas page, but then later found a HoHoHo title I liked and had a vision. Unfortunately, I haven't found paper that goes with the vision, so I'm thinking of a 3rd option now. I'm considering doing a page titled "Holiday Feast" instead of my HoHoHo idea.
Anyway, I have lots of "stuff". I don't anticipate having any problems completing my pages.
