Okay, I need some advice. DH and I do not like crowds but we like to take our GC with us. We were going to go in June when school is first out. I just found out their spring breaks starts on April 7 (Mon.) Easter is April 20. Do a lot of schools have their spring break this early? How do you thinks the crowds would compare with the second week of June?
Thanks for the help.
Second busiest time of the year for Disney. I went 3 years ago during spring break and swore I'd never do that again. Test Track had just opened and it was a 3 hour line to get on. Ouch! I've been several times the first week of June. Love it!

Thsi year we went the first week of April which was the week before Easter and the second week of June. The April week was much more crowded. We have never been "off" season so are used to crowds.

April - Spring Break Crowds
June - Summer Heat
My vote Heat over Crowds - this way with the Crowds comes some heat - but with the heat, you can move a little faster and generate some cool air.

We'll be two weeks before Easter. Do you think it will be as crowded then?:(

Crowds start to build (Spring Break) from Presidents Day thru Easter.
Spring Break varies across the country.

We are booked for a stay next year, Easter Sunday through the next Friday (5 nights).
We debated a little about the crowds, but decided to go anyway. With FastPass, we can hit the few "must do" rides and attractions. And with the DVC membership, we don't get all stressed out in the parks anyway.
So we're going during one of the busiest times of the year. As long as we pack along a little patience, we'll be just fine. ;)

IMHO, the April week will be less crowded than the first half of June. The Easter crowds (which can be very heavy) come the week before and the week after Easter. You will be leaving just as they begin to arrive.
The weather is better in April - on the average, not as hot, not as rainy and not as humid. To the best of my knowledge, most of the school "Spring Breaks" occur in March. Since you will not be there over Easter, I think your April week will turn out just fine. The weekdays will be less crowded than the weekends.
Good luck!

Thanks everyone. I just booked a 2 BR at BCV for 4-6. I'm getting excited allready. I called my 4 yr. GD to tell her and she said she would start packing now. She's going to have her mother tearing her hair out by then wanting to know if it's time to leave yet.:) :)
