We are heading out to Knoxville tomorrow, to visit friends, and make some new ones ;)

We are celebrating Birthdays! My twins turn 7 on the Fourth of July:yay:

My firecracker babies were born at 9:22PM and 9:38PM while the fireworks were going off. We celebrate big every year. Somehow, Mama manages fireworks for their birthday party;) Yeah, I'm good like that.

We are heading out in the morning for Fontana Lake, NC. My BIL has a place on the lake, so we will spend the weekend boating, swimming, eating and drinking. And blowing things up!!

Don't forget to say "Hi" to Denise and Frank from me..:wave2: I met them in Disney and they are the nicest couple. Exactly as they are here on the board. :thumbsup2
While I haven't had the pleasure of meeting Ami, or Amanda (how could she be anything but sweet :cutie:..she has my daughters name ) everyone knows they are a couple of sweethearts!

I'm hoping to finally get on the trailer and clean the roof and clean out the drain holes on the AC. Then two lawns to mow, weeds in the garden to take care of, maybe get a chance to grill some. I hope the weather holds out so I can run my errands on the scooter. Just another weekend for me.

Give big HUGS to the Fort Fiends for me!!

We're going to take the Gem to FtW & freeload today (7/3), and maybe again tomorrow. So much depends on the weather. However, we'll be catching up with some Fort Fiends!

I can't wait for the October Grand Gathering of all Gatherings!!

I have to work... 7am-11am Sat morning for a stupid foot race.... I hate watching people run just about as much as I hate running! :sad2:Then I get to come home for 5-6 hours and go back in until 2am (so long as no one is, well, stupid enough to make me work) for the stupid fireworks!! RRRR
In case you can't tell...
I hate the 4th of July anymore! I haven't spent one with my family in 9 years straight! I get to spend it with the community I work in so that the people who don't live there will behave when they come to visit!:snooty:

Ok I am done venting sorry!!:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

I hear ya Rog...I dont spend much time with my family on the holidays either, Im always working...I hate it!

Anyway...This is what I'll be doing Sunday after I wake up!!!

A quick little storm with alotta attitude blew through last night and left this for me...reported 60mph winds will knock the hell out of a rotten tree.

COULD THIS HAVE BEEN ANY CLOSER????? it fell right between the front of my wifes car and the camper......Ive never really thought of myself as lucky, most of my life I would have seen this as being very UNLUCKY because I have to clean the mess up....I guess age is making me become a "The Glass is half FULL" kinda guy....

Anyway, I'm glad I have nothing important to do this weekend. The antibiotic they gave me for my sinus infection is making me sick. I think I'll be going back to bed now.

Today is one of the busiest days of the year for DH, so he will be working and I'll be sitting at home reading the DIS. Tomorrow will be spent trying to figure out why the motorhome is dead. DH replaced all of the batteries the other day because they looked puffy and the RV hasn't cranked up ever since. Of course, he didn't tell me anything about this until this afternoon...and we are supposed to leave for the beach in five days! Cross your fingers that he and a friend of his can figure out what the problem is tomorrow!

I'm working today July 4th. Were getting busier since the sun went down. All the kiddies shooting fireworks and setting the grass and woods on fire. Tomarrow I plan to exercise the Harley a little and get some needed stress reduction. Wish I was at the Fort though.

Your guardian angels must have been putting in some overtime Rog! That was close. From the looks of the photos, seems like it's time to talk to your neighbor about his/her rotten tree? Looks like it's just over the property line and is their problem?

We came back from camping early due to the bad weather, but also for a huge 4th of July cookout we usually go to. Justin and I won tix to see the Red Sox vs. the Seattle Mariners in Fenway PAHK (it's a Boston thing). First time I've been there on the 4th and watching those fighter jets buzz the stadium at low altitude is impressive! Too bad the sox lost.

Off to a brunch this morning and then to a local flea market on the first dry, sunny, 75 degree day in 5 weeks. What am I doing sitting behind this computer monitor?????

Got the rubber roof cleaned yesterday, now today I am off to Wally World to buy some black streak remover and work on that later. I have beer and leftovers from yesterday's picnic if anybody wants to come over and help.

From the looks of it you are off-line and probably on the way to the store, but I highly recommend "Awesome Orange" cleaner from the dollar store to remove the black streaks. The stuff works so well there must be something illegal in it. Took me less than 30 minutes to get the trailer cleaned this year (with help from the kids).

There were so many fireworks around here last night you'd have thought it was a war zone. Considering it's illegal here..you gotta wonder. At first it was nice...but then it started to get darn scary. To many people in close proximity with HUGE ..LOUD...fireworks. I mean..what goes up..does come down, and firework remnants were landing everywhere. I had heard that fireworks were more expensive this year..didn't seem to stop anyone from buying them though. After a while, we went inside..and comforted the poor dog who was shaking like a leaf. At least the cat came in early...ran right home and shot through the door. :lmao:
We are going to see Lee Greenwood's "Salute to America" on Tuesday night in a nearby park. They also will have a Grucci fireworks display. Think I'll leave it to the professionals.

I painted the frame of the trailer. It was looking a bit worn. What a difference..looks brand new.:thumbsup2 We have some reservations for a few days at Smith Point..a barrier beach on the south shore of the island for July 13th. I've been there a few times, but we've never camped there. Should be nice. I'm glad to finally be taking a trip..even if it is close by. Although we have moved our fire pit out to the driveway, and been listening to the CD player in the trailer, doing some "driveway campin'" the last few days. :rotfl:

I'm trying to convince him to take a least one day off ...we'll see:rolleyes1
My sister is coming to visit for a day, and likely her kids will sleep over..so I'm sure we'll have fun. I don't know which of my kids will be there. Who's working..who's not?...:confused3
