We have booked a 4 day cruise on the Wonder plus we booked the 3 day on land seperately, we are doing the land portion first, would you know if our Key to the World card that opens our hotel room also open our cabin on the ship like it does when you book the 7 day land & sea package? I didn't know since we booked them seperately if that would still work that way, I hope so because that is really nice.:p :Pinkbounc

MissiRiver,
I believe you are correct about your room key at your hotel is your "KTTW" card.

When I went on the Magic for the three day in 1999 the KTTW card for the ship was the same as the one we used for our resort.
Have fun!!

Even when you book them seperately? Or doesn't that matter?

I don't think it should matter, we booked them as one package, but you could call DCL direct and ask them, they are very helpful!

I think it does matter. If you book separately DCL does not link the ressie's. I believe the KTTW card would only work in both doors (land and sea) if you booked it as a package with Disney.
Call DCL and WDW and ask them, just to be on the safe side. We have done WDW first three times (on our own) before our cruise and we still had to check in again at the port and get a new KTTW card. Disney is good, but unless they know the package was under one reservation how would the key "know to work in both doors".
The reason most people book separately is to save money on the WDW portion of the stay. WDW reservations dept. does not keep tabs on what guests might be going to do the cruise afterwards.....unless it was booked as a package, and then you might lose the savings you gained by booking WDW separately.
Hope I was not too confusing.

MJ,
That does make sense.....I think calling DCL would be the best bet!
