Since I am not going to write a TR I just wanted to write down some of our impressions, we arrived Sunday and came back Tuesday, we had a great time at DLP!
weather: so hot:goodvibes, like really, really hot
crowds: yes.. I hadnīt expected it to be so crowded but I thought it was packed on all 3 days
ebay fastpasses: loved them! BTM seemed to always have a wait time of 65 minutes, everything was at least 40 minutes wait times and with the passes we managed to ride our favourites twice in a row
Crush: ridiculous waiting times, since we had read here that it tends to have a long line no matter when, we decided to to try it first thing on Monday. Due to technical difficulties they didnīt start the ride until 10.45 and then it was another 45 minutes until we got to ride. I thought the ride to be fun but whenever we looked waittimes were between 60 to 120 minutes so we didnīt bother to ride it again. There was a queue all the way back to studio 1 each morning!
ToT: loved it! Thought the CMs there were the best in all the parks
Counter service: was awful. We tried to eat at around 2 each day, but the queues were moving sooo slowly, on Monday we waited 45 minutes just to get our food.
Hotel: stayed at Newport Bay Club, really liked the theming and our room was very nice, choice of breakfast was good but since it is such a huge hotel even breakfast was crowded. Would stay here again but thought breakfast at SL was more relaxed. When we arrived the only breakfast slots available were 7 or 10.30. We arrived at 8.30 each morning and it was never a problem.
California Grill: waiter was great, we had a table overlooking Main Street, and food was nice
Waltīs: loved it and I will do reviews
Staggered opening times: we didnīt make use of EMH. And the staggered opening times didnīt affect us. BTM broke down every day, RnR didnīt have fastpasses available on Monday although waiting time was 45 min, and on Tuesday it was all of a sudden closed, so was PoC.
Ok that was a long post, but we will definitely be going back ( and hopefully staying at the pink palace:thumbsup2)
