Sharing on the DP

We are new to FD, and looking forward to eating our way through WDW! I have read that some places allow sharing of meals on the DP. some don't and it's hit or miss. Obviously buffets won't allow it. We have a few TS that aren't buffets, I was wondering if I can buy a bowl of soup for my meal and save a TS credit for another meal? We will have DH, me, DS11, and DS9. We can easily share 2 adult meals and a childs, especially if we order a bowl of soup to go with it. This way we could eek out one extra meal for the week. (And we can all taste Le Cellier's cheese soup!)

Is this possible-to buy a side order or appetizer instead of using a dining credit?

Yes, most likely you will be able to.

You may buy anything extra you want and pay for it with cash.

I have paid oop for meals on the ddp, so I assume that you can just buy an app instead of using a credit. Just let the server know when you order that you will be using fewer credits .

You should be allowed to but just to let you know... you might need more than one bowl of that FABULOUS cheese soup at Le Cellier. :) haha...I could live of it...seriously!
