Very newbie question...EMH

I'm going to DLP at the end of September (25th to 28th), and was just wondering, a) If there are likely to be magic hours at all, I don't think they're up on the official site yet. And b) how do they actually work? We're staying in the NBC hotel, so I think we do get EMH, but do we just need our hotel card to show the CM's at the gate or whatever?

There will probably be EMH but possibly not every day

You just show your hotel id card as you enter the park,

Most fantasyland rides are open and a few in discoveryland. After about 9.30 other guests will be allowed into the park but only as far as mainstreet so these lands will be roped off and you will have to show your hotel id again to get past the rope

Yep, there will be. Probably every morning.

The park opens one hour early for Disney Hotel guests, you just show your resort ID which you'll get given at check in. :)
