I am doing a study abroad for school and we are given a free weekend to do whatever we want, so of course I want to go to DLP :cool1:

Anywho I looked at traveling by Eurostar but the only way it is affordable is to do it July 27th (Monday) which is a day I have to be back. Now that really isn't a problem but I would like to go July 25th or 26th.

I would have booked earlier but I didn't find out my itinerary until last night. So what I need help with is what other means of transportation is there to DLP from London (traveling alone and first time overseas so it needs to be relatively simple)? Is there a way to get on the Eurostar without advanced reservations? Best website to book through (I saw something about Euro Railways and it looks like they have availability??)

So basically I need any help at all because I feel like I am going into this blindly!! :scared1:

Thanks so much :flower3:

We live in London and have always gone by Eurostar. But would you consider flying? There're lots of useful information if you travel by plane so maybe that's worth checking.

Another possibility is to phone Eurostar and check if they have anything available. They're usually helpful so worth trying.

Not sure what else to suggest really...

Are you just going for a day?

There is the direct Eurostar which goes straight to DLP or you can get one to Lille and change there or to central Paris and the RER (suburban train) from there but all this takes time.

You can also fly to Paris but again it will take time to get from the airport to the parks as well

I was just hoping to do a day trip there. I know that on the Eurostar website there are no outbound trains on Saturday and for Sunday it's a bit of $$.

Are there other websites to book the Eurostar with besides direct? Do other sites hold seats kind of like Expedia holds hotel rooms and such?

Thanks again all

Just be careful with looking at Rail Europe and thinking the price you see is the price you pay - it isn't. They advertise the lowest rate possible but it's only when you come to book that the "real" price is shown.....

I've never heard of anyone doing a walk up on Eurostar before, you will find that they are very busy peek season with all us Disney loons that booked a year before hand ROFL! But the price will be horrendous no doubt.

I did find availability and cheaper train fare into Paris Nord and then I can transfer on the RER A?? to Disneyland Paris, is this correct??

How complicated is this process? Would I be able to transfer in the same location or does it require walking to another station?

Is the RER basically a subway system where you don't need reservations??

Thanks again!

Yes that is correct you go to Gare du Nord and then need RER line A to DLP.

Unfortunately it isnt from the same station so you need to get the metro from one station to another - I think Chatelet des Halles is the easiestes
And Yes RER is an extension of the metro system so no reservations needed - it will take you about 40 mins to get to DLP

Thank you so much! It probably isn't as complicated as my mind is making it out to be but it is nice to know I have options.

Thanks so much again!
