Is it possible to split and adult and/or child's menu among 2 people when you have the dining plan? I have heard that you get a lot of food with each meal and we are trying to cut back on our serving sizes due to dieting. Thanks!

I can see you doing this with a CS but not a TBS.

From reports posters on this board have given, most TS restaurants will PROBABLY permit you to share a meal on the dining plan, assuming the persons sharing are both on the dining plan.
Sharing is definitely prohibited at buffets and all you can eat/family style restaurants. It is also not permitted to share the all you can eat skillet meal at Whispering Canyon Cafe. Everyone who eats from the skillet will be charged full price for it.
It's also been reported that Beaches & Cream does not allow dining plan guests to share entrees.
Other than that, most reports are that sharing an entree at TS is generally permitted, even on the dining plan.

I am hoping that they will allow 2 adults on the dining plan to split a meal. I am going with my mom (70) who is a very small eater so I know that the 4pc chicken dinner at the 50s diner is way to much food. I am hoping to share meals with her at the 50s diner, Sci-Fi, Yak & Yeti and The Plaza. We are planning on having the whole Maine lobster each at Narcoosees so we will eat light at The Plaza. I know the lobster is going to be too much food also but I am not willing to share mine  Has anyone had any luck at sharing at any of the above places?

We were on the QSDP and shared several times (CS meals). We did TS three times, and my boys shared an adult meal and we split 2 Caesar salads between the four of us at Tony's, no problem. We did pay OOP, so I don't know if that is the reason we were accommodated or not.
The only problem I found with sharing (on the QSDP) was that we ended up with 4 CS credits left at the end of our trip. We also had a TON of snack credits left. By Friday afternoon, we had like 27 of them to use up. We left Saturday night.

Do you think they don't allow sharing only if you're using the DDP. Because we eat at B&C (alot) and and always split a sandwich. Generally it's the roast beef sandwich. The server even puts it on separate plates for us. I've seen it mentioned that they don't split meals, but yet we've always done it. Of course, they do know us at B&C now and guest we are "regulars".

The portion sizes for the TS meals is really not that large at most places any more. Like at 50's with the fried chicken is actually 3 pieces and the chickens they use are super small. I shared with my 9 year old where the kids meal was really too small for him (4 nuggets or 1 chicken leg). He ate the kids meal plus the leg from my meal and part of the wing and I had the breast and part of the wing. I was definitely still hungry after the meal (no dessert) and so was he. Normally 1 piece of fried chicken is more than enough for me at somewhere like Popeyes or KFC. If you do share you may need to add a salad or app to share as well.

We will be sharing meals when we go to TS (not buffets) on FD. My DS11 is considered an adult, but there is no way he could eat an entire steak by himself. None of us are big eaters, so I will be ordering a bowl of soup OOP and saving a TS credit from each meal. No waste, and we can eek out one extra seating at TS for our last day. I figure that as long as I have ordered something, they can't come over and slap my hand if I reach over to DS's plate and swipe a few bites of steak...

We've only been to B & C one time, and we shared meals. DH & DD shared a cheeseburger & fries, other DD and I shared a Roast beef & onion rings. Both were excellent and then we shared 2 sundaes as well.
