We will be getting the free dining but I know my kids won't eat entire meals so I was thinking they could sometimes share a meal - thus using 1 CS credit instead of 2 or even a TS and then having them for the couple of nights we don't have the free dining. Does anyone do this? Do they give you a hard time?

We routinely ordered one CS kids meal for our two kids and just requested an extra plate and cup. Never had any problems. My wife eats like a bird so at times we would order a kids meal for her as well and stockpile the CS credits. We had our DD's split a TS meal one time as well and had no issues.

You will be able to order and share adult meals with you DH and you two daughters. Your 6 year old will be on the kids dining plan and will have to order kid meals. You're fee to split those with your daughters as well, but they'd probably be pretty hungry. ;)

Your credits become effective from the time you check in until midnight the day you check out, so you won't be able to spread you credits beyond that first day (til midnight) that you check into your new resort. So if the only reason to split is to conserve credits for the next few nights, you really don't gain anything by that.

I don't even think they would know.

That makes complete sense and I hadn't thought of that part - them expiring. Thanks ;)

We shared several meals, both QS and TS. No problems whatsoever.

Word of warning though...we ended up having 4 QS meals leftover on our last day and could not use them.

We had 20 snacks left too! I used up the snacks at Roaring Fork before we left, getting things to bring home. At the same time, I was asking other guests if they were on the dining plan. If they said no, I bought them their dinner. This is how I got rid of the 4 QS credits. The cast members were helpful and commended me on being nice (they said some people are really cranky when they have credits leftover.) I was happy to spread some pixie dust!!
