I have been working for the last couple of years to have a Disney Christmas Tree. I have 2 trees to put up ( family and formal) already so why do I need another one.:confused3 The Disney ornaments now go on the family tree.
We have spent lots of Christmases at Disney. When we start to decorate the tree Disney ornaments get the most attention and the memories are great.

The reason I bring this subject up is I'm planning on really adding to my Disney ornaments when I'm at Food and Wine. What is your fav Disney Ornament ? I would love to see some pic's if possible. I want to get them home safely ( we are driving) any suggestion ??princess::wizard:

We do two Christmas trees every year. Both trees are live. The five -six foot tree is just for the Disney ornaments. I have been collecting them for 13 years now. :santa: I usually buy one ornament with the year and another one that is fancy. Sorry I don't have pictures. Maybe this year I will take a picture of my trees. I just never thought to do so.

My ultimate goal is 4 trees. Lol. Seriously. Right now we have "normal" which has family, disney, etc and a fake palm tree that has "beachy" ornaments on it. However, I'd like Family, Disney (have MORE than enough to cover this), Formal, Beach.

I say go for it!!

I do an all Disney Christmas tree. I have spent quite a bit of money in the Disney's Days of Christmas at the Marketplace. DH hates to see me go in this store because he knows he's in for a long wait (and bill).

I always have a live tree in our family room with Hallmark/craft show/kid-made ornaments, but in the dining room, I have an artificial tree that is strictly Pooh and Friends. I have TONS of ornaments from Hallmark, plus plastic ones from Wal-Mart, Pooh lights, and tiny stuffed characters and clip-on heads from Happy Meals a few years ago. I even have a Pooh topper and tree skirt. I love it! If I can find a pic, I'll post it later. It cracks me up to hear my kids warn their friends, "That one is Mommy's tree, and it's very breakable. Don't touch it!" Ahh.... I've trained them well. I promise, I let them decorate and re-decorate the other tree all season long, but no one touches my Pooh tree. :rotfl:

My mum has a disney tree! It's about 2ft tall, and she has all the ornaments she bought in WDW and ones she ordered from a comany called Brooks and Bently. I'll try and find a picture of it.

She also has a Disney cabinet for all her Disney crystal and other ornaments.

We only have one tree, but we have so many Disney ornaments that for the past 2 years, we have made it almost entirely Disney. We get a new ornament or 2 on every trip, either from the DD Christmas store or in the resort gift shop. We like collecting the ornaments from each resort and one with the year on it.

We were just there a week ago. I had three ornaments personalized. I picked out my ornament and placed the order close to closing on the 21st at 11:00pm and there was a sign that said all orders would be filled by 23rd. I had mine sent to my hotel room so it arrived a day later on the 24th. I really like the convienience of sending it to my hotel room so I didnt have to go back and carry it around.

:santa: In addition to 2 formal trees, we put up a 6.5 ft green multicolor lighted Tigger tree. He has Pooh and other characters with him from the 100 acre woods. DH started collecting Tigger several years ago...it has really been fun to add to it over the years. We have thought about a 3ft black pirate tree.:thumbsup2

I would pick it out at the beginning of the trip so they have time to do it....I was burned a couple of years ago when I waited too long and couldn't get it done.

Last Christmas I set up a small tabletop tree just for my Disney ornaments. Turned out nicely. Then after this May trip I was putting away all my notes, room cards, Photopass etc. and got this idea.

Took the single-hole punch and punched a hole in the top of the Photopass card, strung a short red ribbon through it and thought it would look cute on the tree. Got carried away and did the same with my KTTW, Celebration Gift Cards. Then there was the already punched DTC luggage tag. Had a leftover unused Fastpass, laminated and punched it.

Wait a minute - if I go through my boxes and albums from previous trips I'm sure I'll find other cards too - like the Monorail Pilot card. When Christmas rolls around this year we will not just have the ornaments to enjoy but also these other little free momentos to admire on the tree. Should be quite a conversation piece.

I also thought about taking my luggage tags that Disney sends me and putting a picture of that years trip on the side you wright your name on and hanging it with a nice Disney ribbon. You can find the ribbon at a scrap booking store. If i can ever figure out how to post pics I will post some.

I'm so hoping that someone has a picture to post.
I love Christmas and I love Disney. I can't wait for Food and Wine so I can shop for ornaments. We will not be going to the Mouse for Christmas this year, but are planning for 2010.

We have two trees indoors. One is definitely getting taken over by Disney ornaments. We buy at least one if not several ornaments on every trip which amounts to 3-4 times a year. it is getting a little out of control. The tree is 12 feet tall and covered with Disney - I wouldn't want it any other way.

I have a Disney tree that I have really been working on the last couple of years. I'm trying to make it primarily ornaments from WDW or Mickey shaped ornaments. What I have done, and LOVE so much is I get the larger Mickey head ornaments and I have them personalized for each trip that I've taken. These mean the world to me. I'll see if I can post of picture of some of them. I also try to get the official WDW ornament from the year that I went (does that make sense)? I hope so. I love Christmas so much and have so many wonderful memories at Disney World...it just makes sense to combine them if you as me. Let me see if I can attach photos yet. http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h315/gudrench3/1985-large-personalized-orange.jpg

I have the Disney Store personalize them for me, and I just really love them so much. I have even brought the one from my 2000 visit to have them add RIP Mom on the back of one of the ears. 2000 was my mom's last visit. It's just a neat way to "relive" each trip every Christmas as I'm pulling them out of the boxes.

I have a Disney only tree (I had to buy a bigger tree for it last year as I had too many decorations!)

We always buy new decorations each time we go to a Disney park. My favourite decorations are these three:

The three worldwide Disney castles!

I have never went to DisneyWorld during Christmas. :guilty:
We tried to get down, but everywhere was booked. We went twice in November. 2006 and 2008. The first day they were celebrating Halloween.
The second day they switched automagically to Christmas. It was wierd to see Christmas decorations in 90 degrees. :confused3

We've had a Disney tree in our playroom for about 5 years. I go a bit wild at the Christmas store in DTD, so I have NO problem filling it. In fact, it started at a 4' prelit tree and after two years we graduated to and 8' one! I bought a Mickey treetopper and matching tree skirt personalized with my two kids' names from the Disney Store when I first started. I especially love the shiny "mickey heads" that you can get in different colors-- they're about the size of a plum, so they're great fillers. We've stayed at 4 different resorts now and I have one of the porcelain ornaments from each one, and will add AKL-Kidani next month. My kids are old enough that they put all the ornaments on themeselves starting last year. It's a wonderful family tradition.

We have a Disney tree each year. Sorry, no pic. We, too, have been adding & collecting for years. The only other ornaments that are added to the tree are picture ornaments (some of them Disney) of our two children as they grew up and now picture ornaments of our four grandchildren.

DH also has a Disney village that he displays under our glass coffee table in the living room complete with a train set that encircles the whole thing. We need to find another place to put his display. When the family gathers at Christmas it is always in the way! Everybody always trips over the train!:santa:

My living room tree is the Disney tree. It's a 7 1/2 ft tree that goes up the day after Thanksgiving. I started out 10 years ago with just 10 ornaments on it and now have so many they all cannot go on. Everything from Hallmark (new ones are available for sale today), ones I got in the parks and then Bradford Exchange and Lenox. The topper is Tink and the train goes on the bottom with the Disney Village. The den tree is the live tree with all the family ornaments. We love both of them but I decorate the Disney tree alone. Family & friends love coming over to see "what's new" and finding their favorite characters. I hate taking it down because it looks great. First thing up for Christmas - last one down!

We don't have a strictly Disney tree, but it becomes more Disney every year. This past year we made homemad Mickey heads to add to it (bought ornaments on sale at Hobby Lobby..one larger bulb and two smaller of the same color make an easy Mickey head).

When we had our ornaments personalized at WDW I just paid to have the shop ship them home for us instead of trying to fit them safely in our luggage.

My fave ornament is actually one from the photopass website, with our photo on one side and Disney characters on the other.

I have had a Tinkerbell Tree for the past 3 years or so, ever since I discovered the christmas ornaments at the Disney Store and Days of Christmas. It is a very girly tree, and is mainly made up of Tink and the Disney Princesses. We also have a personalised mickey head from 2006 and I plan on getting more personalisation done in future. Everyones pics so far are fab! Every time we go to WDW, I bring back more decorations in my hand luggage! The theme of my tree is silver and pastel colours and tink is at the top of the tree with tink lights and we keep the tree in our hallway which we decorate in pink and silver. We also have a traditional tree in the living room and Disney Minnie and Mickey Christmas Plushes from Days of Christmas in a dolls rocking chair. Pics from last christmas aren't great and I need someone to tell me how to post them from iphoto. This year I will try and get some close ups! I have got three new decorations this year. Ariel, Belle with the Beast and a gorgeous Magic Kingdom one. I love my Disney tree!
