Punching Hole in KTTW Card

Hi Everyone....

We have sailed 5 times before on DCL and never felt we needed to punch a hole in the KTTW card to attach to a lanyard, but on our last cruise my kids kept losing them so I thought this time we would try it on our upcoming 8/3 cruise.

What side should we punch the hole (I forget which side goes in the door) and I do not want to punch the wrong side.

Looking at the front of the card would it be left or right, upper or lower corner.

I took a hole punch and made a hole in the right hand side...be sure you don't puncture the magnetic strip...and remember it's the opposite side from Mickey. (Mickey goes into the door first)
But a word of caution, it has to be taken off the lanyard to get off and on the ship so it can go into their scanning machine.

Thanks to an informative post from this board, I purchased fishing license holders at Wal Mart last week for $.97 each which includes the lanyard. They have a ziplock closure so the card can just slip in and out without having to punch it. Our first cruise, the Magic, leaves in 4 days....we can't wait.
