Clearwater Hotels

Hi,

We are looking to take a two night break from Orlando at Clearwater, May 2003. Any recommendations or advice on hotels, any particularly good, any to avoid?

The Clearwater Beach Hotel is just great. I stayed there over New Years about 5 years ago. It has the best spot right on the beach, a great pool (not too big) which has a drinks and food service to you lounger:D. Also the bar inside the hotel is a lovely dark wood traditional piano bar.

The rooms in the Virgin holidays block were ok too, nothing special but the hotel itself made up for that. I think the rooms is the main part of the hotel are much nicer, but we did have a balcony witha gulf coast view.

Hi,

After doing some reseearch on the clearwter area hotels, we have narrowed our choices to the Sheraton Sand Key and Clearwater beach hotel.

Other good choices I have read positive reviews on are the Holiday Innn Sunspree, Adams Mark, Best Wetern.

I don't think there are any really "avoidable" hotels on the beach in this area. Someone correct me here if they've had a bad experience at one of the beach hotels.

Go to clearwaterbeach.com for some info on area hotels and send for some info of the Tampa area.
