Apparently, there was a hotel named the Dutch Inn in Orlando back in the 1970s. Does anyone know if it was located on Disney property? I know it wasn't an actual Disney resort but was it ever a part of the group of hotels that was allowed to operate on Disney property? Does anyone remember this hotel?
TIA

I'm pretty sure the resort you are thinking of is now the Grovesnor Resort. It is one of the Downtown Disney area hotels that are on Disney property, but owned by other companies.

Thank you! I didn't even think about them renaming it.

:D
The Dutch Inn was the first Hotel I stayed at on my first trip to WDW in 1981. I don't know which resort it is now, but I do know that it is located in the Downtown Disney area.

We stayed at Downtown Disney on our honeymoon in 1982. We were at the Howard Johnson's - which is now the Courtyard.

I've been trying for years to remember the name of the hotel I stayed in when I was a small child..possibly 4th grade and about 9 years old...THE DUTCH INN! Thank you for reminding me. I think this must have been in the late 70's.

Yes, the Dutch Inn is now the Grosvenor.

It was officially called 'Americana's Dutch Resort.' Somtime in the early 80's, I forget the precise year, it was renamed (and rethemed) and is now known as The Grosvenor... I am pretty sure ownership changed, but I am not certain.

I watched the little vidoe the Grosvenor has on thier website. It says that the hotel is British themed with a swimming pool shaped like a Dutch windmill. I didn't get that at all, why would a Britich hotel have a Dutch pool?? But now I get it :)
