Here's the real thing(not a synthesized one), digitally recorded by me on our first cruise!
The ACTUAL ship's horn (http://pages.prodigy.net/mary_gums/horn.wav)

You're Welcome! :)
Not for a tip, you don't have to play it off my link.
Here's step-by step instructions for what to do with the sound. (this'll work for most sounds, but not all)
Step 1: do a right click on my link above.
Step 2: Pick 'Save Target as'
Now you have a decision. If you want to play it at will:
Step 3: Pick Desktop from the pulldown at the top of the box that pops up and click save. It will now appear on your desktop.
If you want it as a startup sound,
Step 3: Pick your c: drive, then click on the Windows folder, then pick save.
Step 4: Click start, pick settings, then control panel, then open Sounds. Find 'Start Windows' in the list, and horn should be one of the choices. pick it and ok out, and you're done.
