Does anyone know the distance between the VWL and Fort Wilderness (specifically, the Hoop Dee Doo Review). Is it over a mile? How long would it take to walk there? Thanks!

Last time we were at VWL, we walked over to Fort Wilderness.
It was a nice walk but I wouldn't want to try it after a Hoop de Doo Revue.
There are busses that run to the campgrounds, either Crocket or Boone

If I remember correctly, someone posted once that it is just under a mile. We walked it in about 15 or so minutes.

We just walked it the first week of June. It was beautiful, but hot as hell! Also, we did it during the daytime and I don't recall seeing any lights (though they may be there), so I wouldn't count on being able to return after the Hoop De Doo.
The absolute best way to get to Fort Wilderness for the Hoop De Doo from the Wilderness Lodge is to TAKE THE BOAT!
Oh, and it's not a short walk, either. I'd say more like 20 to 30 minutes.
