We are doing FD in Sept, and have 6 in our party-- 3 adults, 2 kids(8 and 5), and 1 infant(free). DH said he read somewhere that for all parties of 6 or more, an 18%gratuity is automatically included. Is this true for us even though technically we only have 5 paying/DDP participating customers? Or does it apply to how many people are seated?:confused3

Sorry, I tried to find the answer on the DDP sticky but couldn't find it.:flower3:

There is a tipping sticky--that's where all the questions about gratuities go. This thread will get moved there as soon as mod notices.

To answer your question, yes you'll get the auto gratuity...the party # is based on the actual number of bodies at your table not on whether or not they are ordering or eating. So babies (and other children under 3) count in your total.

6 bodies of any age at the table = 18% gratuity.

The PP's are correct, both in their answer and that all tipping issues need to be discussed in the Disney Tipping Info Thread (found here http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2056032)

I think you have your answer, so I will just close this thread. If you have more questions, please feel free to ask them on the Tipping Thread.

Thanks! :goodvibes
