View Full Version : Does Disney hold some AAA rate rooms for themselves?

This might be a little long, so please bear with me.

We wanted to book a room at Pop for 11/29-12-6, non-pref, AAA discount, and I planned to add dining and tix down the road, so I wanted to book through AAA. We also really like the parking pass, so that was another reason for going that way.

Of course, at the same time, I'm hoping a killer code comes out for those dates, in which case I'd rather book with Disney directly so that I wouldn't have to wait on my agent to try and get said code applied, especially if it comes out over a weekend.

So, I called my agent today, and she said there were no AAA rates available at Pop on my dates. Next, I called Disney directly, and they DID have AAA availability, so I booked it. Can anyone explain why I would get 2 different answers? Does Disney hold AAA rooms for themselves, or did someone just happen to cancel during those couple of minutes?

I was told by Disney that you could book the room only at the AAA rate, for a package you have to book thru AAA, so you may not be able to add dining at a later date, you may want to check you have the option in case you want it at a later date but as you have seen many times on this site you may get a different answer depending on who you get

Thanks- yes, you can add it, but then you lose the discount. That's why I'm in a tight spot now! Hopefully a great code will come out and it will be a non-issue.

You can now have your AAA agent contact Disney and transfer your reservation to him or her, and then you can change it into a package. Best of both worlds!

Wow, really?!? Thanks! I'll give her a call and see if they can do that.
