Can anyone confirm that there is one today? DH and I have never gone and we're thinking about popping over. Next question, where is the best place to park? Thanks all!

I always look in the elevators at BW....that's how I can tell if there is a party that week. But that's not going to work for you. I guess you'll just have to take your chances. Parking at the S/D is good but you have to pay to park there. So, I guess you would be better off parking at BW.

We did go Wednesday. DH and I thought it was really cute. The prizes given to the contestants were nice. I would have loved the $150 Photopass certificate. Everyone was given tote bags on the way out. I expected sales pitches to add on, but there weren't any. We'll probably go again later this summer.

Wow, a tote bag would be nice,especially in these days of bringing reusable bags for groceries. Shucks, we were there last week and didn't bother to go because we have our share of DVC hats!

We went to the Welcome Home Wednesday on 5/20. It was POURING rain (we had over 15 inches of rain that week), we were staying at BWV and we figured it was something to do. Our host was Dee Vee Cee and we did enjoy ourselves. They played a DVC Jeopardy type game, gave away a few gifts, lemonade/snacks and everyone also got the tote bag when we left. There was no hard sell. It's not something I would plan my day around to attend but it was fun.

Are the bags the drawstring ones with the mesh at the bottom? I guess the mesh is good if you are at the beach so the sand can drain out, but for day to day use I don't love them. We definitely don't need more of those same bags! :rotfl:

I want a tote bag. I've gotten the blue cap the last 3 times we were there. We go to all WHW because we have lots of time on our hands while there. The last time we went in May DeeVeeCee was not there. It's just not the same without her.

Will be at the WHW on 7/22. Going to the BLT preview on 7/23.
