Anyone know exactly what this "means"? Just wondering if I would be happy with it, or if I should just be happy w/ Jambo Studio Savannah View?
We are WL at BLT lake view..but I am thinking to try and call to see Standard availability.
Thoughts anyone?

LV is the most common room type - standards and MK view are harder to get. I believe standards have a parking lot view? Others will correct me I'm sure.
Personally, I'd prefer a Jambo savannah view to pretty much anything else.... in the world :lmao:, but at BLT I think LV is the best bang for the points.

Nobody really knows what "standard view" really means.

If you look at that artist's rendering of BLT, my guess is that "standard view" would be the areas covered up by the trees on the lower floors. And the areas on the lower floors on the inside of the "U" of Bay Lake Towers.
Basically, any view that wouldn't have a view of the lake or Magic Kingdom. You might be looking at the pool. You might be looking at the parking lot. You might be looking at the service entrance. You might be looking at just a landscaped lawn. Ultimately, don't book these rooms for what's outside the window, but I suspect these views at BLT aren't going to be as bad as some other "standard views" at WDW.

My understanding from our guide is that "standard" view is the lower floors that won't give you that awesome view of lake or MK. I personally don't mind but went with the lake view for our stay in feb. I just love being at disney.:thumbsup2

Yes, I imagine it means the lower floors as well as some of the "side rooms", which makes me question why there isn't a CR view category.

Hi cbeehler3,
The standard view in my understanding is really no view at all! It is most likely going to be a view of a parking lot.
You will receive different opinions on if it is best to have a view or not. The thing to consider is will you be in the room that much and will it make a difference when you are what you are looking at?
Just remember whatever the view you are at Disney. :cool1:
