I know questions about SWA come up on our board a lot, so I thought, let me put it in writing what I know and have done so far, in case it will help others.

Last year we flew out with SWA and ended up with $300 credit. I read on the transportation board that some were getting back their money on their credit cards, so I requested my money back as well. SWA gave me back $150 without any hassles (I had two credits for 150 each) but would not give me the 2nd one. God knows I tried hard to all the money refunded, but they would not do it for the 2nd one and that was fair enough for me, as I knew I would use it eventually. I had no intention of going back before the expiry date, but again, thanks to Disboards, I realised that I had to book one ticket for 1 passenger, refundable, in order to pay only $50 to extend the credit as we were originally 3 passengers. Did this and it worked like a charm:cool1: Hence I now have a credit of $100 in the form of a Luv voucher. For those wondering how long this takes - it was a few hours from the time I spoke to customer relations to when I received the voucher via email. Fast, IMHO.

I just booked out flights for September - 59 bucks each way:cheer2: The entire ticket was $417 for the 3 of us, so in a sense, we only paid $117, how cool is that??

If anyone has any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Oh, wow... where did you get the $59 flights, what's your airport? I've been watching my dings and emails like a hawk...NOTHING from Manchester NH.

Really good to hear they have been so easy to deal with. Makes it easier to jump on a good deal without too many misgivings. Thanks for the info.

We fly out of Buffalo. I checked today again and its $62 ech way. I know this has been mentioned before, but I think it's worth mentioning again....try changing the number of tickets. I tired 3 and most often than not, the return flight was showing at over 100 bucks. Changed to 2 passengers and BINGO - back to $59.00. I know it's a hassle to do this, and after much playing around, I was able to get all 3 at $59 each way, but it may help others in a crunch.

Good luck.
