I added a new link to the Coppertone.
Now everyone should be able to use it.
It no longer goes directly to the coupon. You have to go
to the site.

At the bottom there is a $5 and a $1 dollar printable.
I do have it saved:rolleyes1

Wow! That's great! Any overage coupons??

We went yesterday to the one at APG and only saved 26% - my worst week ever - but we were only replenishing perishables since we are pretty well stocked with staples. The only overage coupons I could use were for the gloves and they only had 4 in stock.

I was thinking of something and I thought all of you can help with this:confused3

In the 1st post should we add a section of items that are Free and Almost Free with coupons all the time?

I know some of you are so good with this.:teacher:

Example: There are Ziploc bags that are in the sample section and there
are 1.00 coupons that can be used making this .49 or free for some.

There are the sample size bandaids in the sample section and with a
coupon the are .49 or Free.

What do you think? Like a Filler section? I would be happy to post them
all together. I am not good at finding them:lovestruc

Great idea! - if I find any, I will let you know. I did find an almost free: some L'Oreal HIP products are green-sticker tagged at 75% off (this is nationwide), so the $9.99 products are 49 cents after using the $2 coupon from the 4-19-09 Red Plum and/or the 6-14-09 Smart Source.

I bought the Neutrogena Wave Duo for my daughter today (I used that fantastic store opening coupon, but I won't write out my trip since no on else has it).

$15.99 Wave Duo (Sunday/Monday only)
-3.00 IP mfg. http://www.neutrogenawave.com/wave-coupons.aspx?section=home&afsrc=1 (click "back to special offers" after signing in/registering to get the coupon for the unit itself, otherwise you will get refill pad coupon)
$12.99 (earn $5, so $7.99 after coupon/ECB)

I also bought some of the 2/$1 soups and the Palmolive after 25 cent coupon. We don't have the Oreo/milk deal here.

My daughter can eat now! This is a picture of her x-rays from right before surgery to now. If I had the x-ray from last year, it would be way more dramatic as it was prior to getting 8 teeth pulled and then closing in that space, if you look at the profile, you can see the huge difference. It changed her nose, her eyes, and even the placement of her ears.

I went in today, got two Coppertones which we needed and got the $8 ECB. Used those on my Brawny paper towels (had a coupon, yay) and a couple of the 88 cent Palmolives. Got $2 ECB from that, so I picked up three more Palmolives (we can wash a LOT of dishes now) and the Dasani that was on sale. I had three of the $2 off L'Oreal HIP products and was so excited to use them...BUT..by the HIP area there was one sign that said the thing about 75% off if it has the sticker, yet none of the items had the sticker. (every area in the rack was full, too, fooey!) I asked about it and got a pretty snotty reply, so I guess I didn't need a HIP deal, lol.

I am just now sticking my toes into the whole ECB thing, although I've had a card forever. I *think* I saved about $11 today between ECBs and my manufacturer's coupon. You geniuses who walk out with tons of stuff for like, 7 cents, amaze me.

Thanks, Fluffypuff, for this thread and your hard work!

Just got back from Walgreens. I had a stack of coupons for $1 off Kellogg's cereal so I went and got 10 boxes of Froot Loops and 2 boxes of Frosted Flakes. They are on sale this week for $1.99 so only .99 after coupons!

They had the Gillette Fusion Phantom razor on clearance for $4.79 so after $4 coupon (P&G) it was only $.79.

The Dry Idea is a moneymaker if you have the $2 off coupons (IP from coupons.com). On sale for $2.99 with a $2 RR. $1.01 profit on each one with the coupon. (Of course both of my local stores were wiped out already but a great deal if you can find them).

We did get overage on the Chinet plates, and Mighty Dog dog food. That coupon was for a free can or $1 off a 6 pack or something. She took the $1 off. Also got several of the KY Jelly, got some of the Playtex gloves, and bunches of A1 marinade. I had made a list from the commisary thread and the only thing we could not find was the pouches of tuna (sold out) and the Bertolli pasta sauce.

DDIL was so excited as she was in Iraq when I was doing the shopping before. She wants me to stay and go shopping with her each week.:rotfl2:

Do you have to do anything special to get the Register Rewards? DO I need a card or anything????

LanaJae

Do you have to do anything special to get the Register Rewards? DO I need a card or anything????

At Walgreens, no, you don't need a card or anything. The only thing to remember is that you can only buy one product (or deal) at a time and you can't use the Register Rewards you earn to buy the same item(s). Another thing to remember at Walgreens when you spend your Register Rewards is that they are manufacturer coupons and you have to have an item to cover each coupon (Walgreens coupons don't count against you though). This makes it a little harder than CVS. Those of us who do Walgreens too are always looking for cheap items as fillers.

This is an example.. last week I bought a Johnson & Johnson baby powder for $1.29 and I earned a $1 Register Reward for it.

This week I want to buy a deodorant for $2.99 so I can earn a $2 Register Reward on it. I have a $2 coupon, but I don't want to pay 99 cents of my own money, so I need a filler so I can use the $1 Register Reward from the baby powder, my transaction looks like this:

$2.99 Dry Idea
-2.00 mfg. from coupons.com
0.20 hair elastics on clearance
-1.00 Register Reward from last week
$0.19 + tax (earn $2 Register Reward)

The bad thing about Walgreens is that you have to pay tax on the entire amount, so I pay tax on $2.99 plus $0.20, in addition to my out of pocket cost of $0.19. Also, the Register Rewards expire in 2 weeks, as opposed to 1 month at CVS. I try to only buy things our family uses at Walgreens, unless I am getting ahead (as in this deal).

The good thing about Walgreens is that there is no limit - as long as you buy 1 item or deal per transaction, you can buy as many as you want (although they are often out of stock because of this).

You also have to plan for the future and read up on future ads so that you don't accumulate a bunch of Register Rewards that you can't roll into new deals.

It's reported on another site that the Spiderman and Iron Man kids' sunglasses are working for the buy 2, get $10 ECB deal this week. They are $5.99 each. Not free, but one of the only decent offers for rolling this week.

so I just got back from a great day at CVS. I had a bunch of Ragu coupons b/c I was going to do the deal last week from Walgreens but all of my stores were out of it; and I had 2 Coppertone $5 coupons. Finally, I had a $15 ECB to use that I got from the Pampers deal a couple of weeks ago. I also had a $2 waterbabies CVS coupon So I got the following:

6 jars Ragu (3/$5)
2 Coppertone waterbabie's spray ($8.99) each

They let me use the $2 CVS coupon, the two $5 coupons and three $1/2 ragu coupons, so my result was $14.98!

So to use the $15 ecb, I bought 3/$2 caramello candy bars which I needed like a sore thumb!

So $1.98 for all of that! And I got $8 ECB to use next time - SCORE!!!!!

Of course on the drive back, I thought I should have bought 3 more Ragu as I had coupons left to make up the difference, but I'll live!

I'd take Carmello over Ragu any day lol Happy to hear you were able to use the Coppertone coupons, I still haven't tried.

Just wanted to report that I was able to use the $5 Coppertone coupons on WaterBabies and the Oil Free kind with no problems. That's all I've done so far as I was out of sunblock and had to run out in the middle of the night to get it or my kids would have fried at swim today! I am getting no good scanner coupons lately, not even a $10/$50 this week! Just the $1 off GE water and a $2/$10 CVS purchase. :( At least I can use that on vitamins and toddler wipes.

I don't remember what color RA deals are supposed to be but I found Russell Stover Sugar Free Pecan clusters marked 50% off today and had $1 coupons. At the register they rang up .89 and took my coupons. Of course I got the 3 they had. Manager helped me look for more stuff and I did get 2 bags of Weight Watcher pecan cluster for .29 each. Be sure to price check all the clearance prices.

Does anyone know if the Coppertone Nutrashield prints out the $8 ECBs (when you buy 2)? I was wondering since the Nutrashield wasn't part of the Coppertone sale last week. I have two of the $5 coupons and would like to try it as long as long as it was part of the ECB deal. It looks like a good sunscreen, and it would end up being 3.99 each after ECBs, which is a pretty good deal I think, since it is regularly 12.99. My CVS is a stickler for coupons, so they would never let me use the Nutrashield coupon for another Coppertone. There is one cashier that won't even speak to me. It's like he's mad or something that I get a lot of stuff for next to nothing. He always examines my coupons closely to make sure they are all OK to use (which they always are). I just don't get it.

I didn't so I looked it up. On DISboards, it means to wear lime green so people know who you are at Disney. It's a non-verbal way to acknowledge people who participate in the same things - phrase came from the movie.

I will look at all the other CVS sites and see if I can find an answer. Sorry about that cashier, I know a few of those types at Walgreens - you'd think they'd just start saving coupons and copy the deals rather than be mad.

I have a cashier like that at Rite Aid. I had a coupon today for a free Banana Boat product up to 10.99 (due to a defective can) and they have all the BB products B1G1F this week. She kept telling me that I had to use the coupon on the item that they were giving me free - WTH? I kept telling her that made NO sense and she called the manager who said I could use it and get both cans free. She then rings it her way and I finally told her to forget it. She then says fine, have it your way and does it the way the manager and were telling her. She acts like coupons are a pain for her everytime I use them.

All I could find is that it is not tagged as part of the deal, it is $12.99 now, but will be $11.99 in July with the $1 clip-free coupon.

If your store was decent, you could buy 2 on Wednesday for $23.98 - $10 mfgs. and ask them to manually print the $8 Extra Bucks (if they don't print).

I went to CVS today and bought the 2 Coppertone NutraShield body Sunscreens, I found some that had a free trial size of the face sunscreen. They were $12.99 each. I used my two printable $5.00 coupons and I did get $8.00 back in ECB's.

Hey flakey :lovestruc The one in the sig. picture is my youngest, she's 8 now and the one who had surgery is 17.

I read about another free deal, but the coupon expires today (June 30th). There was a coupon in the last Reinventing Beauty magazine that looks like it's for Oxy, but it lists lots of products, anyway, one is called Soft Lips. They are on clearance for 75% off $3.99, so free after using that coupon. It's a regular mfg. coupon so several can be used in one transaction.

Heads up on a moneymaker for next week. Post cereals are 3/$10 with $5 ECB. If you go here:http://www.postcereals.com/trailmixcrunch/
you can print three $2 off coupons for Post Trail Mix Cereal

3/$10 - $6 coupons - $5 ECB = $1 overage!

Go fast. If the coupons are on a count limit, they'll probably go soon.

I can't get the coupons to print. I've tried Firefox and Explorer. A message came up saying my default printer wasn't supported. We have two printers and I've tried setting one or the other to the default printer, but neither are working with this coupon. Does anyone know what I need to do to get this to print?

I often have the same issue with printable coupons... just don't get it! :confused3

BTW, I don't know if anyone else does this, but when we get ECB, one of the things we like to do is buy restaurant gift cards with them... to restaurants with good deals, of course.

For instance, we could get a $10 gift card to IHOP. We have an IHOP that will give us a free kids meal with each adult meal $4.99 or higher (Mon-Thurs evenings). They currently have a special that is exactly $4.99. We order waters for everyone, and suddenly we have a meal for our family of four that is almost completely covered by $10 in ECBs (still got tax & tip)... best part... no cooking and cleaning afterwards! Woohoo! It's a nice treat once in a while... :goodvibes

Sometimes virus software programs won't let the software install for the coupon printers. There is usually a section where you can allow certain software or you can turn off your virus protection just while printing coupons.

Just be careful and look at your CRT right away - I tried this exact transaction today, and it did not automatically print the 8 ECB's for me. The cashier did manually print them out, but not after a lot of scrutinizing the ad first. I was getting the "hairy eyeball" from him. :scared1: It does look like good sunscreen, though.

I did the Nutrashield and the Coke deals this week. I had to roll a 10ECB and nothing else looked decent this week. We are going to the beach next week, so at least I know I bought products that I'll use!

Just popping in to say hi. I don't think I will even make it into CVS this week...nothing exciting for me and no ECB's that need to be rolled. I did a few Rite Aid runs though so all wasn't lost!

Unfortunately I joined the ranks of the unemployed last Thursday (my company eliminated my position) so it has been a crazy and stressful week :scared1: DH has a pretty good job, but I carried all our benefits and made significantly more than him, so this is definitely a hit for us! It seems that the milk and oreos deal (IF you have it in your ad) is working out so that you can just buy 3 gallons of milk and the ECB will print. Works great with the promotion for buy 5 gallons, get 1 free. Of course it won't turn out free but it's 3 gallons of milk for pretty cheap!

Thanks for the coupon link, love free stuff and getting paid is even better!

I am in a test market with ShiPooOwner and our ad comes in the Red Plum advertising mailer on Wednesdays instead of the Sunday paper now so next week's sale started yesterday. It overlaps, so it can be a pain - but it is also easier to find everything because most people think the sale doesn't start until Sunday.

Anyway, I just wanted to say that our stores only carried the Raisins and Almonds type. Also, one deal this week that will not work on Saturday (when they turn on Sunday's deals) is the sunglasses because next week's buy one get one 50% takes over, so if you want them, do it before Saturday.

How did you get them to print? I printed them some time ago...must be a few months back and it says our records show you have printed this coupon already...darn.
I cleared history and cookies still showing me the same message:headache:

Same here! Oh well, I guess I have enough cereal. :rolleyes1 But I sure could've donated it to the local foodshelf.

LanaJae, the xrays were really interesting. I'm so glad to hear your dd is doing better and eating real food again.

Puffkin, sure hope you find a great job and soon. My ds lost his job a few months ago as well.

LanaJae, I went to the new store (finally....but that's another story) in Woodbury yesterday only to be told the new ad that came out on Wed. won't start until Sunday???? They had the ads on the table! :confused3 I wanted to get the Lipton tea but absolutely none in the store. The cashier looked like she was going to fall asleep right at the cash register so maybe she was not operating on all cylinders. She said she works three parttime jobs and had to go to one of them when this shift was over. :scared: I probably should've tracked down the manager but I was in a rush as usual so I did the Aveeno deal with DH's card since he had a 4/20 and I had three $2 mfg. coupons. Rec'd $10 ECB and I paid about $1 a bottle I guess. Not a fabulous deal but I like Aveeno.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes....I have 2 interviews next week which I am happy about, especially in this job climate. I also just got a part time job at Bed Bath and Beyond for nights/weekends to help out a bit (supposed to start orientation on Tuesday). I was surprised to get that so quickly!

Had DS at the doctor yesterday for his ear and no infection. She says the pain is from his ears clogging due to allergies. So she recommends children's claritin or zyrtec. Now I gotta figure out if anyone has a deal on those and who has the best price!

That's just weird! They had everything tagged by early Wednesday afternoon and it all scanned, I got the Post cereal deal and the CVS brand liners (and other stuff I can't remember). The tape is the only thing that won't activate until Sunday. If they didn't have any Lipton when you were there, don't count on it being there as the trucks are coming early because of this test market. I sure hope it goes better next time you are there!

That's promising news! I think it would be fun to work at BB&B - hope you like it.

Sorry about your son's ear pain! Children's benadryl works really good for that, but it will make most kids very sleepy, sometimes zyrtec does too.

My Dd was at the Dr a lot of times for congestion and what not. And the Dr's kept telling me she had allergies. We had her on Claritin, Zyrtec and Nasonex. Nothing really helped. And eventually I found out she had so much fluid in her ears she had a slight hearing loss from it. So she had to have tubes. Things seemed better and then got worse again. And now they are talking about needing to have her adnoids(sp) out. Hope you have better success with your DS. My DDis 4 now and I started taking her to the Dr about it when she was 6 months. Only took us 3.5 years to get to this point!

Wow, my son has also been on Zyrtec for allergies for awhile. He has had chronic ear infections so he had tubes put in 3 weeks ago. Guess what, we were at the ped this week -- he has a double ear infection! I was so heartbroken. I thought the tubes would help him so much, but so far not so good. :sad1::sick:

I know allergies are definitely part of teh problem because the poor kid gets these huge puffy bags under his eyes....going to try the claritin/zyrtec for a bit to see if that helps. ONce my job situation (and insurance) gets stabilized I definitley want to get him in with a pediatric ENT....his ped had already said it might be something we need to look into (tubes/adenoids/etc) and I defnitely agree. He actually has such a high tolerance for ear pain/pressure that I rarely know something is wrong so who knows how many infections I have missed! I did go with the generic claritin because the bottles had 50% more for free at CVS, so we'll see how that works for now. Ugh!

yeah I was surprised that you can still get an ear infection with the tubes in. Just less pressure supposedly. Hope he feels better soon!

I hope the Claritin works for him. Poor baby. I can just picture a little guy with puffy bags...so pitiful! Our ENT is really great. I just wish they had brought up the adenoids before doing the tubes the first time. But I was told that if the tubes fail and we need to do them again, they usually take the adenoids out along with the second set of tubes. She snores like a train! And they say that's the adenoids.

Happy 4th of July!!

That really stinks about your job, Puffkin but it's great that you have interviews for other positions already.

LanaJae, your daughter's xrays are fascinating. I'm glad that she is progressing well.

Our computer monitor broke about a month ago and we still haven't replaced it...using my brother's computer for a minute. I've been having coupon / deal withdrawals - it is impossible to do any kind of coupon matchups without the deal sites. It must have been so hard to coupon before the internet!!! Here in Florida we have a really junky ad this week, so no big loss, though. It has gotten very hard to roll ECB in the last several months. Even the Oreo / milk deal didn't work when I bought 3 milks:(

Thanks everyone for your help every month!! I'm looking forward to next week with the freebies and the Febreze, even if CVS didn't send me a X/XX email.

If you are going to CVS tonight (SATURDAY - July 4th) and if you got the $2 CRT for Cortaid, it is a money maker. It is normally $3.99, but is $2.99 after clip-free July coupon and you will earn a $2 ECB. There is also a .50 cent or a $1 Cortaid mfg. coupon in the 6-28-09 Smart Source or the 4-26-09 Red Plum.

Possible $1.51-$1.99 money maker (or free after coupon/ECB if you have the $1 coupon, but no CRT)

I don't know if you will see this but HI! and thanks :)

I hope there's a good sale this weekend on monitors, check Craigslist, maybe someone is giving away an old one - anything is better than nothing, I would be going crazy without my computer.
