Don't know if this belongs here, but would you all feel that it would be really silly to have club level accommodations that supply those little food offerings throughout the day and still do deluxe? I really wanted to do both, but I don't see how I would take full advantage of the club level offerings if I'm so overstuffed from my DxDDP. :scared: Does anybody that has ever done this before have any input?

I'm considering doing this in December when I travel with my mom. We drink coffee every morning and aren't big breakfast eaters, so we would utilize the club room for our caffeine and a small breakfast. I think I'm going to use my three meal credits for a signature dinner and regular TS lunch. We love to "snack around the world" in EPCOT, so I imagine we'll spend most of our snack credits for that or for souvenier candy to bring back to my little brother. I think most people might say it is too much food, but the amenities of club level are also part of the reason I want to stay there, ya know? I'm a big eater, so I could definitely have a snack or two in the club lounge throughout the day. I'm anxious to hear responses from people who had done this, thanks for posting!

Thanks for your response, AlohaP....I agree w/all you said. I just keep on thinking about all the goodies they will have spread out and keep saying to myself "darn, i will have so many meal credits (if on DxDDP), I'll probably be at some restaurant at any given moment, not enjoying that nice club level food spread, because I'm stuck THERE porkin' out" hee hee

DON'T DO IT! Hubby and I just got back from our honeymoon less than a month ago and we are slaving away in the gym and over healthy thai food and veggie cooking trying to lose all the weight we gained doing deluxe again. I would never do Deluxe again, it's just way TOO much food, and we did the two TS for a signature dinner and a TS lunch. Keep inmind you also get TWO snacks per day, and you can get an appetizer AND dessert with each meal. There's no way you'll utilize the club. I'd get regular dining plan... You can eat club in between and use the CS and TS... If you pig out on the spread, you could always combine a couple TS for a signature meal!

We love the deluxe plan, but for the club level stay we have booked for Dec we decided to go without it. The DxDDP really is all the food we need on vacation and then some (we usually take some snacks home with us), so I figured if we wanted to enjoy the club lounge offerings it would be overkill. Particularly in the evenings, we're wanting a different pace for our club level stay than we keep up on a normal trip, with a little more time to enjoy our resort and that spectacular view from the Poly CL lounge! So Dec will be our first trip since the creation of the DDP without a dining plan of some sort, and as such we're going to use it to try of some of the places that don't accept the plan - tea at the Grand Floridian, dinner at Fultons, sushi at Kimonos and at the Kona sushi bar, etc.

We have used the Deluxe Plan and now deceased equivalents of it in the past. I would reccommend one or the other. There is a lot of eating done on the Deluxe and I couldn't imagine your taking advantage of the club level offerings with it. The only way it MIGHT be possible would be if you combine your credits often and eat at signatures for nearly every meal.

I would have to say no deluxe plan if you're staying Club level & want to take advantage of the offerings there...unless you really do plan no more than 2 TS meals a day (all signature dinners to use up the credits.) We had Club Level & the DxDP for just 2 days in January...we did use the Club room for a few beverages (coffee in the a.m. once, sodas in the afternoon once & liqueurs in the evening twice.) but for the most part the breakfast & snacks were a total waste for us...we were just too full from the DxDP. We did not even use a single one of the 8 snack credits we had until when we checked out -- we got snacks for the road on the way out of Disney.

That was a surprise upgrade to Club...I wouldn't book into Club with the DxDP.

I would dump the club level and keep the DxDDP.

I agree, don't do it. It's way too much food. We did it once and were miserable. In fact, the deluxe is way too much food for us in general so we much prefer to stay Club Level and do no dining plan at all.

I personally felt good ole DDP was too much food. I don't know how ANYONE does DxDDP unless they book several 2 credit meals.

We've done club level and the DxDDP - separately. When we did the deluxe plan, we had 15 snack credits left over at the end of our trip and 5 meal credits. The deluxe plan was a lot of food and we did a lot of 2TS dinners.

Even when we've done club with the regular dining plan, we felt it was just too much. We were initially going to stay club level for our December trip with no meal plan. I figured with the breakfast and evening offerings, we'd be pretty much okay with just a couple of ADRs to keep us going.
