Thing is..... I've already booked for Free Dining for Sept 25th to Oct 4th
Can I forward the email to my daughter to use?
(She would love to go for Free Dining, but can't get off work until after the current Free dining offer is finished) She could go first week of December :)
Anyone know?
Debbie

Sorry, Carol, I'm pretty sure that the pins are specific to the person to whom it is addressed. If it is your name, then it is attached to you.
Edit: Okay, I got one, too, and my name isn't on it, but it WAS sent to my email address. I'm guessing that my name is attached to that email. Actually, I got a second one on a different email....and the pin numbers are not the same. Again, I'm thinking that my name is attached to both.

Thanks Debbie for responding :thumbsup2
When you mentioned name, I went back and looked at the email and guess what? It's addressed to my daughter at my email address :cool1:
So I think she can use it
(And maybe I'll go again with her ;) )

HI,
Just a quick question, with these pins and offers, does anyone know if it is luck of the draw???
I am on the mailing list and have been for years but have never gotten a pin.. just wondering if I should do something different.

;)This was the first PIN that has ever come through my email address and I've been going for years also.
I had sent for the new DVD recently and had also got one mailed to my daughter (she lives 3 hrs away from me) and I think that is how they got her name and my email address.
Try ordering a DVD and see if that gets you a pin

I received the offer. It's tempting, but we just went last year so I don't think dh will go for another WDW trip this year.

Does anyone know if you can use this offer if you have an AP?
I got this PIN too. We're going in Aug with free dining and we were planning on upgrading to AP's, in which case I would DEFINITELY go again Dec for free dining, but I noticed it said with purchase of room and tickets.. Anyone know?

I got the PIN today too.
Looks like it's only for the free dining package. Too bad because we already have theme park tickets and plan to book room-only for December.
What to do, what to do. Oh well, better to have a decision to make because I got a PIN instead of having no decision to make at all.

I just checked my email and there was my free dining pin! After going to WDW for 20 years and no pins, this makes the second pin code for me in a year!
Mine is good for most of September, October, November and December thru Dec 17th.
I was looking to go in November for my B-day. Now I'm going for sure!!!!:cool1:
Now if I could only get good airfare out of Edmonton....

Darn! No PIN for us (so far, at least!). We did request a DVD this year. We're heading to FL for a week in Dec. I would gladly add on a few days at WDW if we could get free dining!

I got one too - and for the first time (EVAH!!!) it actually applies during the time we will be going to WDW. Has anyone actually costed this out? We don't typically have "sit down" meals while we're there, so I never really considered signing up for the DDP (i.e. too expensive). But with tickets, hotel + DDP, I'm wondering how close it is to what we would normally spend without the DDP.
Hotel: I figure 9 nights at Pop Century is around $900.
Tickets for 4 - another $1,200 (3 adult and 1 child 10 day Park Hoppers from Undercover Tourist)
Food: This is the tough one. We take a cooler and make our own breakfast. Last trip (10 days) we ate at Hollywood and Vine and the SciFi Diner. We would have liked to get into the Whispering Canyon, but it was booked solid. We did a lot of counter service (Pecos Bill's, Garden Grill, etc.). I would think it averaged to less than $100/day for the 4 of us, but let's say another $900 (i.e. $100/day for 9 days).
Total: $3,000.
Pin code offer:
Free Disney Dining Plan
when you buy one of these 4-night/5-day vacation packages at select Disney Value Resorts including accommodations and Theme Park tickets.
The $1,388 offer applies during our stay.
Presuming I can book 2 seperate 4 night stays back to back, I'll still have to tack on an extra night's hotel, tickets and meal expenses - which makes this offer very close to what we would normally pay. The incentive with this deal is that we would likely eat at better restaurants, more frequently (provided I get my act together and don't miss the 90 day window).
Am I missing anything?

DisFan2,
You don't need to book 2 packages + 1 night. You can book all nights on in one package. We just booked an 8 night package on our PIN.

I'm so jealous. No pin for me. I've signed up for the DVD. I've been on the web site pricing packages, even though I have one booked for November. What else do I have to do to have Disney honour me with a pin code, stand on my head:confused3. I'm pretty sure that isn't going to happen.:lmao: Oh well, I've got my fingers crossed.:)

I can't believe we got a pin! I never get anything. We are going in October and I have been fishing around the Disney website, signing in at least once a week and ordering maps, dvds etc... maybe this is why they sent me one. I also applied for a DVC dvd for more info so this could be it too. Whatever the reason I am glad to have the pin, we will be booking tomorrow.

You can always add the Park Hopper add-on to your tix.

When we booked the 4/3 deal, we only had to buy a 1-day park ticket to be eligible. Rules may be different for free dining, but it's worth asking about.
We got the pin too -- and it's for the time of year when we would not usually be in WDW -- I think that may have something to do with who gets the offer.

I've never dealt with Sears before - but Disney will do it if you had booked with them and CAA will do it if you had booked with them. So I would see no reason why Sears couldn't - I'd definitely make the call.

cant hurt to try. i know i asked before about upgrading after we booked and she said better sooner than later as it would be treated as a cancellation. have to discuss with dh first. hes supposed to be going to gagetown for another training weekend on our actual anny. no point in switching if they say no you cant go!

I just got the same pin this morning, we wanted to go in Jan/Feb for 10 days next year. Who knows with this offer maybe we can squeeze another one in, drive down and save the flight money. (a man can dream can't he)
With free dining being extended and all these pins makes me wonder what is coming for Jan/Feb. Last year 4/3, next year.....only Disney knows.

ME TOO!!! ME TOO!!! ME TOO!!!!party:
I got it last night.... I was dancing around the living room shouting " I got a pin, I got a pin" DH thougt I was nuts and DD(14) was rejoicing with me :woohoo: then said "what's a WDW pin again? :confused3 "
So, the thing of it is: that a have booked a 2bd timeshare for the end of Oct, but now that I've got a PIN with free dining, I think I'd rather go the first of Dec. :santa:, even if I have to go SOLO, :cloud9:. (I guess I'll just Kijjii my Oct week--:sad2: unfortunaley that week is non-refundable)
So anyone think maybe WDW checked the Cdn Dis board, to see who to send the Pins too ;)
Whoowhoooo, :dance3: been waiting years for this!!!!!
I got the pin yesterday evening at 540 pm. And the dates are PERFECT. whoo hoo:banana:

I got the same PIN. I don't think I will be able to go again. Maybe if it was for the spring.
It's my first PIN also. I have been logging into the Disney website and pricing out trips and ordering the trip planning DVD.
I believe that you can just purchase a one day park ticket to make it a package and still get the free dining. If you have an AP, save the one day ticket for the next year - you can use it towards the renewal your AP if you want or add more days to it.

Without the pin you can still get free dining from 8/22/09-10/3/09. The benefit from the PIN is that you may also be able to book a free dining pkg. from 10/2/09-12/17/09. Just wanted to make sure people were aware that you don't have to have a pin to access free dining, just to access the extra dates (I know most are aware of that, but some might not be :) ).

Just wanted to say we Canadians must have been jumping all over this deal! Between DH and I, we were doing some booking yesterday for family with the PIN code - and all the CMs were saying how many bookings had come in for late November/early December under the PIN deal. We were actually having some trouble getting rooms at the desired hotels, so limited availability was right. Two different CM's were cracking jokes it was like the Canadians were going to take over "the World".

Me too. We just got back in May and wasn't planning to return till 2011. But I asked my 4 yr old what she wanted for X-mas : presents or to go back to WDW. After 2 mins of thinking,:rolleyes1 she picked WDW. So than told DH about the deal (thinking I'm going to have alot of convincing to do) and his reply was sure. So were doing to WDW Dec 13-17th. Merry christmas to us. Now I have to deal with ADR's for the 1st time!:goodvibes
Also you can get discounts off of pre-booked vacations. We already pre-paid our May trip and they refunded us the $.

I also got this Free dining PIN that extends until December. We are already booked for September. Maybe I'll get a 40% off Pin for next year. I figure it's the only way we'll ever stay in a deluxe instead of a mod.
This is the 3rd Pin I have recieved but it has never been applicable when we want to go.

Just so everyone knows. You can book up to 3 rooms with this pin. I justed booked for DH,DDx2 and me plus my parents and the in-laws. And they sent the reservation to each of the parents so it all gets billed separately. :thumbsup2
Thought I would try and see if they could get the deal too and it worked. Like they say there is no harm in trying.

A little while back my wife had indicated in a message to me that it looked like Disney was extending Free Dining into December. I thought that was a bit strange and checked these boards for any indication of that. When I saw the PIN notice I asked her where she had seen this - it was in an email and so then I told her that she had received a PIN and this wasn't for everyone, though based on what I was seeing here, a lot of people were getting it. I then checked my own SPAM and sure enough, I also had one. This then made us start to consider another trip and when checking flights out of Buffalo, we saw how good the prices were and so our thinking and planning caps were fully on.
Just yesterday we went ahead and booked our flights (Buffalo to Orlando, $580) and a stay at Pop Century for 10 nights. We are very excited :cool1: and will now need to figure out at what point we tell our kids .
