Was it a trip report from the Christmas season? If so I think its probably Belles Village you mean.
During the Christmas season they turn a small piece of fantasyland into Belles Christmas Village - near the exit of Small World and as you go towards the Storybook ride and Casey. there are a few chalet type shops - some selling the same as the other shops and a few selling christmas drinks/biscuits etc

Yes the storybook ride is a small boat ride (outside) which goes round small models of the classic fairytales - a bit like a model village.

It is one of the rides which is sometimes closed due to the weather mainly

It is also easily missed as is down a path whcih doesnt lead anywhere. Its near the exit to Small World , near the Old Mill.
