This is a qualified disagree -- we never thought to do this, but will definitely try it on our next trip (anything to keep them amused while waiting for things).

When we went for Christmas last year I really missed all the "regular" disney music playing at the parks (everything replaced by Christmas music).

if money was no object (i WILL win the lotto ) i would fly to Disney for the day.
Disagree! From Scotland? That is a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG day!
Really if money was no object I'd buy Disney. Wouldn't you? All those issues you have..... kazaam they're gone! Extra Magic Hours..... how about a night for friends and family only! Fly someone ELSE in..... maybe a top-end chef to make a special dinner? Want a 5th park.... order it built! While you're at it, build a monorail extension to your house. Send an entire pediatic hospital population down there and win philanthopist of the year! Stay in Cinderella's suite.... why not build an apartment in the park like Walt did? Shower in the Epcot fountains. And all other reasonable, non-ostentatious activities of a similar ilk.....
(Better win a few lotteries, come to think of it)
