OK, so I'm not losing weight by exercising. I just ordered a week's supply of Nutrisystem on QVC to see if I like the food. My friend has lost 36 pounds on it and she's not even exercising. I figured I'll at least try it and if I don't like it or it doesn't work for me, I'll just give the rest to her.
My ticker for the July cruise says 111 days! That's 3 1/2 months! :scared1: I at least need to be presentable in a bathing suit!
It's pouring down rain here, thank goodness! The pollen is like a nuclear haze! I think you can see it from space:lmao: Ethan's dad is getting him this afternoon for a movie. I get to stay here and wash clothes. A fun filled afternoon I tell ya!

No matter how much my head is full of snot at this moment... you can't fool me... !!! I know you've already paid in full for this one... and the other one is a gift....
I was going to put on here that the break up ended up in engagement and I'm pregnant, so I can't travel being that far along...:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: YOU beat me to it!!!
I almost used the pregnancy one but I don't want to jinx myself (not that I have a chance to become pg)!

Let me know how you like it... I have no time to make it to the gym... I pay for the priviledge of saying "Yes, I belong to a gym"... but working 10 hour days I just can't get there!! I've been doing "The Biggest Loser" workout DVD - but not eating good food (take out way too much between work, picking up Noah, eating at my desk) I'm not getting anywhere. Well, I guess the good news is I'm not gaining...
:rotfl2: That's it Kimmie... find the positive!! :rolleyes1

I'll let you know. Francis, my friend on it, says it's actually pretty good. She's done every fad diet under the sun and never stuck with any of them but LOVES nurtisystem. I figured I'll try anything once!

Come with me into history back....:wizard:
We were in college then. The same major, the same class year. So almost all of our schedules were the same. Started noticing. Started talking. Next thing you know, she inserted herself into a conversation I was having while waiting for class. We were in the same group for physical assessment day in our clinical skills class. ::cop: Minds out of the gutter! I couldn't ask her then, it wouldn't be right. So we're in the main building on campus, looking at the answer key to the most recent law exam. I'm headed to the rifle range, she turns that way with me. "So, would you like to get together sometime?" she asks. "I guess we should exchange phone numbers," I reply. That was 3/30/94. And on 4/1/94, :bride: and I went on our first date. She chose the restaurant (Bistro Romano near South St in Phila), while I chose the movie (Naked Gun 33 1/3). My housemates thought I was out of my mind for choosing that movie. But, as they say, the rest is history. :cloud9: :bride: :groom: :boat:

Will you just take a gander at the pirate costumes that are out? I'm still trying to keep it a secret from my son and don't want him to catch me looking for costumes! Do they have Wench costumes there also?
You're DD is so cute! She should become an artist! Maybe she will become an animator and can say she got her start at WDW!

No problem, what sizes should I look for, I know the prices and styles vary depending on size. When we were there last week they had some really AWESOME costumes, better than I saw at Halloween. I will take my camera and get some pictures for you. They really did have alot of POC stuff!!

CAN WE GO YET??????????????????
Noah's soccer coach called today... soccer season starts soon, his first game is April 14th. Needless to say, the first practice ... which is this week... is already cancelled due to weather. It's supposed to be 36 degrees and a mix of snow, wind and rain.
http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t223/KimmieleeInLO/MickeyRains.gif
Also, his second practice is in jeapordy due to the timing of school being off for Spring Break as is his first game (so far Noah was only the third child available).... :scared: Who wasn't looking at a calendar when they planned this season????

The scale finally moved! 2lbs isn't much, but at least I didn't gain 2lbs!
I'm so ready for Friday. Ethan is out of school so it's become a tradition that I take off work and we go to New Orleans for the day. We have to decide whether we are going to the aquarium or the zoo. I guess it'll depend on the weather. Then we are going to go eat some crawfish! YUMMY! And of course, I'll be sampling the frosty daquiri's. I'll surely have to have a Coors Light with my crawfish. My mom's 60th birthday is the 4th so my sister and I are going to take her to LUSH down there and let her pick out something. LUSH is an awesome bath/girlie store for those of you who've never heard of it. Go to lush.com and check it out. New Orleans is the closest store to us. They have one in Orlando's airport also.
Well, off to shower! Have a good day~!pirate:

Yessss, we did it!
We got all of yesterdays shows on 2 videotapes despite deing out of the house for almost 6 hours for a Hershey Bears game. My plan was to get them all on as few tapes as possible, then get rid of old tapes. However, as we were watching a few minutes of some of the shows, Sean remarked that even though they are old shows, there is so much new material in them that he will need to save the previously taped shows. :happytv:
Darn. This does not help my plan to get rid of that basket full of old VHS tapes. If only we were more techno-savvy and could have recorded these to a dvd.
Darn again. We were not able to watch all of the shows yesterday so we will have to do that today. ;)

We watched bits and pieces of the shows lat night, but we did DVR them all so i am sure during the next week or so i will watch them all.
I was sure they were going to announce a new park, on the one spot i was watching earlier. I am sooo much wanting them to do so. DH wants to go and be a project manager for them so bad, and this would be a great way if they had alot of projects all at once!:cool1:
But he will keep trying anyway!

Been reading some recent Eastern trip reports (from the 3/17 cruise), and had an idea. What if we all tried to get together and have a group picture taken by DCL? Do you think they'd do it? (paging Auntie PJ) Surely with all of us, they'd sell a few copies and make it worth their while. I was thinking outside Lumiere's on an at-sea day. Christine likes the idea, so I thought I'd ask. Even if DCL won't do it, we could play pass the camera.
For those who've joined recently, some of the thoughts:
Palo brunch (filled to capacity already)
Bird watching, led by Mr Gent and Ronnie
T-shirts. TBD
Wrist bands. TBD, but the more we talk about it, the more we like the idea.
Embarkation day meet at the Promenade lounge around 3pm
Adult beverage tasting, led by Vital, Kimmielee, OhSoDisney :cool1:
Other than Palo, I don't think anything is set in stone yet. All ideas welcomed.
Forecast for today and tomorrow here at PADC: sunny and mid 70's. Snow showers Saturday.

Just back from the dentist. Always a pleasant experience as long as the gas is involved:rotfl2: . My lip is numb and I'm trying my best not to bite it.
I've been to New Orleans so many times I feel like I grew up there also. It's a fun place to go, but I don't think it will ever be the same again. Makes me sad for those days when you would hear the jazz bands playing and the smell of the cajun food cooking. Oh well, at least I lived the "original" New Orleans. My application was on the nurse recruiter's desk when Katrina hit. I had made plans to move closer and work there. Everything happens for a reason. I do believe that even though it's hard to understand sometimes.
Now, how many more days do we have?pirate:

I hope everyone had a great weekend. My boys are back from Disney World and back to reality. They had a fantastic time and look all tan and happy. I really wish I could have gone with them
DH thinks he may have a business trip within the next month or so to Puerto Rico. Yeah! I am so hoping I can with him. I have never been there and would love to go. My boss said I could go even though the timing is bad and I really don't have the vacation for it, but I just need to see if everything gets finalized and if the airfare isn't too high.

Hey everybody..
It was a busy weekend here. I attended a bachelorette/lingerie party for my cousin on Friday night. We met friends for lunch on Saturday & ran errand & yesterday was rest & watch the Disney marathon on the Travel Channel day. :lmao: Why is it I still think I need to watch those shows even though I have seen them a million times????
Would love to do a group photo....tell us when & where.
Still loving the bracelet & tshirt idea. I love the design in PJ's siggie still.
Paula........when I first read your little April Fool's joke you got me, but then I remembered what day it was. Thanks for posting the specifics on the nursing job...that would be awesome but the pay kinda sucks huh
Ducky on our cruise.........wooooooooooooohoooooooooooo!!!!! I've never seen him...that will be so exciting for me as I am a huge animation buff. Got to meet Bill Justice as a child & he drew a Snow White for me that I still have--framed & out for all to see.
Pam.......pixiedust: for the Disney Visa & let me just say how envious I am that you can DO Disney anytime you want. Lucky!!!!!

Good morning all! I'm in a slump today. Didn't sleep good at all last night for some reason. Just a funky mood. Oh well, maybe I can get a good trauma first thing in the morning and get some adrenaline going to make me feel better. Sad life, I know.
Melanie-I agree about the pay for nurses. I wonder if food and your room are included. If they are, then if you are a single person, that's not bad at all. Especially if you didn't have rent at home to pay!

I think I'm going to pass on a Palo dinner. I may regret it but for right now I don't think I want to. I do however want to order some Tshirts! Can we get 2? Maybe wear the first one's (lime green with the skull and crossbones with the spooky ship) on the first day and the one's like in PJ's siggy on another day. I don't know why, I really like the first one's better. I think we could find each other better if we all had on lime green the first day! Just my thoughts. Another advantage with a group: safety. I've seen some threads recently about things being taken from beach bags. If we're sitting near another Moon Cruiser, and somebody wants to get in the water, its another set of eyes watching the stuff. Not that we plan on bringing the crown jewels with us.
We should have PJ and Ronnie (where are you?) do a presentation on getting the most out of your computer during our cruise.

I went poking around the www.disneyshopping.com site, and found a lime green shirt with logo on it for about $10. Here's the link: http://disneyshopping.go.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/DSIProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10002&productId=1205621&categoryId=11862. I was thinking we could get it, and have our names put on the back. I remember seeing photos of DIS'ers wearing a lime green disney shirt that they'd bought. It had 4 circles on it that were done up like some of the characters. So, I was inspired to search.
I tried the make your own shirt, as they had lime and pirate: , but I was having trouble designing it :badpc: . It was also twice the price, once I got it made.
We also liked the previous designs from PJ, Vital, and Kimmielee.

Ok on my last cruise, at CC, we staked out a section between two hammocks, right across from the water jungle gym, and tied lime green bandannas at each end, Diser's come and went as the days, double dip, went on and I left my stuff at my chair with no worry. We shared hammocks and loungers and chairs, it worked out really well. This did require those who were first on the beach to mark our territory, we call it the Castaway Run, a Diser even made us numbers to pin to our shirts, somehow I got one:confused3 . I watched the event from Beach Blanket on the second visit to CC, but that is as close as I got to participating,:thumbsup2

Then we sat in the park in Jackson Square and let Ethan shoot his new bow and arrow that he got (suction cup arrows)

Then we ate at Pontalaba's and had the best food I think I've ever had in New Orleans. I got the pasta jambalya and almost fell out of my chair it was sooooooo good! My sister got the crawfish pie which was devine! Ethan had barbque shrimp and a burger. On the way home we stopped at Ben and Jerry's for some ice cream. You tell me if Ethan enjoyed it!

After working in an inner city trauma center I've come to the conclusion that when it's your time to go, time's up! Nothing you can do to stop it and no matter where you are, your time is up! I feel everything happens for a reason and I can't justify being scared of things that might happen. I don't go out and do stupid things to tempt fate, but I also don't stay home b/c I'm scared of what might happen. I don't mean for this to sound so snippy, b/c it's not meant that way at all. I've just seen enough and had patients give me insights to things that most people aren't priviledged to. I'll tell y'all some stories on the cruise! Remember to ask me about the 16 yo boy I talked to Thursday!

I just cannot believe this story everytime i hear it.
There were several kids on this cruise from an elite private school not to far from where i live and work. They come into the restaurant alot, i cannot wait to hear what they have to say.
This is all i dont understand, is if the Frenchman and his DD are actually dead, was it there time to go and everyone else just had to suffer? Could the higher power any of us beleive in not have coem up with a better way to have taken them without so much other trauma?

Just some of my thoughts: Everyone was on that ship at that time for a reason. The trauma for the survivors happened to prepare them for something yet to come. Maybe some will become Coast Guard, doctors, realize that they really do love the person with them, met their future spouse in the rescue, etc. I've seen so much tragedy that I used to wonder why. I guess I've become jaded or numb to it b/c I just sum it up as their time to go. I've also seen people live through things that I KNEW they would die from. To see them walk out of the hospital is amazing. It wasn't their time. Sorry to get so deep, but being a nurse for 15 years has had an effect on me!

Can someone give me some extra information about MNSSHP?
Is the earliest you can get in with your MNSSHP ticket 7pm?
Is there any kind of plan yet as to if we are going to meet anywhere for this event?
pjpoohbear
04-08-2007, 05:23 PM
Dizzi,
MNSSHP takes place most Tuesday, Thursday, Fridays and Sundays after September 15th. Tickets will allow for entry after 4 pm on the day of the party, great to get some rides in before they move you to Adventureland while they set up the decorations. I haven't seen what they do in Adventureland because i got to talking with a bunch of very cute male CMs over in Tomorrowland, and never made it over there until after the party started.
Several families are planning to attend on Friday, October 26th. I won't be as I have suckered newbies into coming to WDW with us, muhahahah! We will most likely go on the Tuesday night, last year there were AP/DVC discounts on several Tuesdays, fingers crossed.
I don't think there is a formal meeting spot yet, in years past we have done dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern, ADR required. We then did a group DIS picture at the HM, and a group ride, they we dispersed to T&T, ride rides, the parade, Hallowishes firework, etc.

There is a special fireworks, that is excellent. Also a parade that is very cute. And then there is the limited number of guests, making getting on rides really easy, do Fantasyland after the second parade or during the first, for shorter lines. Characters are all in costume, so some really unique photo ops.

Being the sneaky mother that I am, I asked Ethan today if he had a choice of vacations which would he rather do:
1. Go to WDW for 1 day for the Halloween party and then get on a Disney cruise or
2. Go to WDW for a week.
He said "go to WDW for a week b/c you didn't pay for the party!". I had to explain to him that it wouldn't be this year, but maybe next. He finally said number one only if he could ride EE! I've got to stop asking him questions!
So, PJ, what about those cute CM's? Maybe we can find them again?
I need to go ahead and order the shirts for us.
They are showing the Extreme Home Makeover that was done where I live! I missed Ty. Probably a good thing as he runs a close second to my Captain!pirate:

I've decided to do AK that Friday and MNSSHP that night. I can't take him to WDW after his only request was to ride "the yeti" and not let him do it. I'll confess, I love that ride also! I'm also going to take him to Dinosaur and It's Tough to be a Bug. Then we'll go back to the hotel for a break and then off to MK around 4ish.
If y'all decide to eat at LTT, let me know so I can make arrangements also! Can you ride the rides while they are transforming the park?

ty pj .....
Is it REALLY worth the money?
We have never been to MNSSHP, but when we stayed at CR this past October for a long weekend, we watched the fireworks every night from our room. I hope I'm not building it up too much . . . the MNSSHP fireworks show is awesome!! It is so much better than Illuminations. I told Sean that I would like to go to the party someday to be in the park for the fireworks. It is very themed and choreographed to music (they broadcasted the audio on the TV in the room). hmmm...maybe I can talk Sean into MNSSHP for the Mooncruisers pre-cruise meet :rolleyes1 Just kidding, we'll have a relaxing evening observing animals from our room at AKL.

If they get the same station, they will be a the CoP candy station. They filled a second T&T bag in one visit when I meet them again later in the night. I wanted to leave and go home to the resort, but they insisted I stay, it was 90 degrees and 98% humidity, yuck!
They told me about an option to work for a single 40 week and you get seasonal employee status. They said that many people will come down for two weeks each year, one to work and one to play. I thought about doing it, but figured it was for US only.

Only those in Adventureland, you are suppose to stay in there while the park gets changed. This is a good time to do the jungle cruise, the treehouse and the tiki birds as they are normally not open for the party. There isn't a whole lot open in Adventureland, but they do have several T&T stops.

Ok we are doing a town car/van from WDW to Port and maybe back to MCO.
Leaving from SSR to the port at around 9:15 with a store stop. And returning from PORT at 8:45 am to MCO.
IF we do the van we will have room for another family (4/5, we hope to take out the last seat for more luggage room), and the cost for one way would be $30, round trip (WDW-PORT-MCO) would be $50, tips included. If we don't get takers we will just take the sedan, all by our lonsesome ;).

Hello everyone, Just peeking in. I hope everyone had a fantastic Easter. We were blessed with AMAZING weather. It was just GORGEOUS!!
Paula, Went to DTD Saturday and all the pirate costumes were GONE!!!, I asked a CM and they said they were moving all the POCC stuff to another location (new store?) there at DTD and so they have pulled most of the costumes and such from the other stores. I will be back there in 2 weeks, so I should be able to get pictures then.

We are disappointed also. We are not really into "sit and watch a show" but back in 2003 we decided to watch Tarzan Rocks and Lion King. We thought that Tarzan Rocked! We loved the Roller Monkeys--we still talk about them and the Tumble Monkeys from the Lion King. I hope that when we finally get back to AK that I am not let down by Nemo.

How did we come up with the color lime green? And do anyother sites use different colors?
I don't know about other sites and their colors.
Lime Green is the official DIS color. Christine recalls a tale of 2 DIS'ers who wanted to meet at a park. They chose to wear lime green, so they'd stand out. However it started, it has blossomed into quite the thing. People plot on how to "liberate" LGMH (lime green mickey heads) from Home-Depot. They then use them to decorate: their room, their luggage, it is endless. When we went to CR last fall, Chris had one attached to her purse. I had one on the camera bag. People plan meets in the parks to pass stuffed lime green alligators like batons. There's a secret hand signal-I'm watching you from Meet the Fockers. Princess V has a thread on the subject. The welcome to the DIS sub-board has some threads, too.

I can't even begin to tell you the thoughts passing through my mind this morning while this whole ordeal was going on. I was trying to keep my cool, so my staff wasn't freaked out but I was freaking out! Thanks to Sean and Pam... you guys being on line "live" was so helpful. I was scared to watch the news reports.
The worst feeling in the world was not knowing where he was. We share a parking lot with the building he was in... and our building is HUGE... 4 wings, 3 stories each and a basement... lots of places to hide. I was afraid to get out of my chair and walk to another location... worried that he was around the corner or hiding under a desk or in an empty cube. SOOOOO many thoughts crossed my mind.
Praying for the one's directly involved, praying for the mad man to come to his senses. Praying for the security staff in my building... both for their safety and to use their common sense (which they didn't, but more about that in a moment).
Most of all, I find it interesting that I turned here... where all my DIS buddies could pray hard... I knew you all would. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Ok, back to the security guards. The building was on LOCK DOWN. No one in, no one out. One of my underwriters husbands was "in the area" when the news started hitting and he "stopped by".
Guard: "Good Morning, Sir - how can I help you?"
Hubby: "I'm just here to visit someone."
Guard: "Are they expecting you?"
Hubby: "Yeah."
Guard: "Go ahead and enter."
IN NORMAL circumstances all vistors are to be held in the Lobby until the person they have an appointment with comes to get them. During a major crisis... a LOCK DOWN for gosh sakes... they let him "loose". I found this out on the way home and I will report it in the morning to Sr. Management. Can you believe that? What part of LOCK DOWN did the guard not understand?
Anyway, thanks for the rant... the support... the prayers... and the love. My thoughts and prayers are with all those directly involved and the family of the poor woman that died.
I am truly blessed. I'm very rich. Rich in love and with friends. That means more than anything at this very moment. :grouphug:

Well the Project Runway is long involved story but i will try to make it short and sweet.
I did not make it with the 3 outfits, and yes it should have been last week.
No i am not going to do go to another city although there are several others i could go to.
DH is most likley going to have to go away with his job for a year and half, and i was soooo hurt over the thought even though i know it is for the good of everyone, and that it is soemthing he REALLY wants to do. That i looked on the flip side of that coin and realized if i am soo hurt over him leaving then everyone else (MOSTLY KIDS) would be sooo hurt over me leaving to do something like that, that i found myself realizing there alot of more important things in my life than being on TV for basically a game and luck.
If i really want to do this designing thing i am going to have to find a way to do it on my own.
But for now i will just continue designing for me and kids and i will have alot of stuff to show you on the cruise!!!!!!!!!!
THANKYOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT!:goodvibes :)

Don't worry.... we'll start posting "updates"... because we keep changing our plans!! We do it on purpose to keep Chris guessing.
Paula... we'll think about switching, to make it easier... we did ALL Star Sports and Noah LOVED the theme... we stayed in the football building. It was our very first trip to WDW.
If LTT isn't good "food" choices... we also have Crystal Palace. It's a buffet, with so so food. I'm open to what the group wants to do! I've never eaten at LTT but always heard good things about the food.
We are having a mini dinner meet and hang out some at MNSSHP but it's nothing "official"... there were a few of us that were going to be in the same place at the same time so it just made sense!!! :woohoo:

Dizz, It sounds like you made a choice that works best for you and your family. and who best to show off the DIZZ line than your own family!!!
I would like to join you guys at LTT, and MNSSHP. Still need to convince DH that having DD out of school one more day isn't going to make much difference LOL, If we come over we will probably look for a cheap place to stay since we really could just drive home and then back to the port. We might end up doing that anyway if my parents drop us off at port so we don't have to pay parking. Not sure yet???
Have a super day everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Babs, sorry about your restaurant, but glad no one was hurt.
Dizzi..can't wait to see your designs.
We still haven't decided how we are getting to port from WDW yet. We have the DCL transfers booked, but may switch to a town car to port & leave the DCL transfer back from port. We got there so late last time we were eating lunch on the ship at 2:30.....want to be earlier this time & a town car will let you do a grocery stop right????? If so it is ok to bring water & drinks on board the ship correct????
Ready to goooooooooooooooo nowwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!

Looks like there is a 'pre-cruise' meet planned at WDW for Friday. Unfortunately we are coming from the West Coast and won't get to Orlando til about 9:30 Friday night. We're staying near the airport. We haven't figured out whether we'll take the Hotel shuttle back to the airport and do the bus or get a town car. I'm leaning towards the town car just to get to port early, unless there is an early bus from the airport.
Do we have any firmed up plans to meet on board? I know there was some stuff on and off about t-shirts but I'm not going back 298 pages to figure out if it was firmed up - can someone clue me in:confused: ?
Thanks

Most towncars will do a grocery stop on a roundtrip, or charge extra for the stop 10 or 20. We priced out two and FLtours was cheaper and it was only $60 + tip more then DCL transfers (I tip the DCL driver, not much but something). DM is paying since she won 4 times at bingo this week. :woohoo:

I rode it ALONE! It's an awesome ride! I usually don't like going backwards, but it was cool. Now Ethan has a mission to ride it, so that's what we are going to do! Pay attention to the details in line. They went through a LOT of trouble making it as realistic as possible. Ethan went through the line but when it was time to ride, he and my exMIL went to the gift shop instead! I was seated with a 13yo gal and we screamed like wild animals! Good times, good times!
I'm ready to go NOW!
100 more days until my Carnival cruise! Did I mention I have a balcony?pirate: I just hope it's on the side of the pier so we can sit out there and watch the people running to the ship that are late! That's always a sight to see!:cool2:

Chris,
I have done some price comparing for you and it seems that your BEST pricing deal on tickets just to Universal Studios is to get the 2 park unlimited admission ticket ($85.99 per person plus tax) and then you could purchase a separate admission to Busch Gardens and Sea World. The 5 park ticket (which includes Busch Gardens as well as Universal and Sea World) is $239.95 and includes the following (and it allows the convenience of all of these purchased on one admission pass.)
5-PARK ORLANDO FLEXTICKET
Unlimited access to the following theme parks:
Universal Studios Florida®
Universal’s Islands of Adventure®
Sea World® Orlando
Wet ‘n Wild®
Busch Gardens® Tampa Bay
Access is valid for the entire length of your stay (up to 14 consecutive days).
Unlimited FREE bus transportation to Busch Gardens® Tampa Bay on the Busch Gardens Shuttle Express, which has scheduled departures from Sea World® Orlando and various locations in the Orlando area .
Please note the following:
Includes free access to select live entertainment venues at Universal Orlando Resort’s City Walk® entertainment complex (must be 21 or older for some venues).
Parking fee required only once each day, regardless of the number of parks visited (need parking receipt from first park visited that day).

This weekend is my cousins wedding :bride: :groom:. It is at an old Confederate mansion & it is supposed to be an outdoor wedding in a beautiful garden & she is supposed to be walking down a trellis lined aisle. They are calling for 90-100% chance of rain :umbrella:. I know she is going to be so disappointed if it rains.
After the wedding, a bunch of us are heading out for a nice dinner & a few :drinking1's. Should be a fun day.
:woohoo: Paula for double digits. We are getting close to our Hilton Head beach vacation :beach: so that will help break up the time until our REAL vacation.

Sunny and cold here...for now. Hoping everyone else is ok this morning.
I just visited our favorite weather site (got a folder full of favorites) www.nws.noaa.gov . My Dad educated me about a little section of the local forecast page called "forecast discussion". This is where you can see their behind the scenes notes and thinking. It has come in handy several times. The storm is such that our local office (Penn State location) has issued a special 0800 update. Normally they do a big model at 0300, and an update around 1100. Suddenly, the models they're using are going haywire. They're becoming more uncertain of the forecast as the time grows closer. They think our area will get inches of rain, with some flooding. But the models are diverging now, with no consensus. Still forecasting snow for interior parts of the state, but they're "finessing the wording of the forecast now to show the uncertainty".
Hoping for just rain. Worried about the winds, predicted to be 25+ through Monday.

We survived the first round. Just a tree down in the next county and wind up to 35 MPH. It always happens like this, they predict some major event and nothing happens. Glad things seem to be working out for everyone: weather, visa, etc.
We just finished up our trip report. The plus/minus awards were handed out.
Watched bloopers of the Caribbean from POC-DMC. It was only 5 minutes long. We were hoping for explanations and such. But, it was long enough to get Christine's creative juices all charged up again. She's back at the master schedule again looking at Pirate night.
note from christine -- went to the store to get a pattern to sew curtains. Of course I checked out Pirate costumes also pirate:

Went out to eat with some friends last night. Had a Filet on a grilled portabello mushroom on top of asiago cheese potatoes! YUM YUM! Then we went out to a bar that we all used to hang out at when we were younger. Can you say we were ready to go home by 1030:lmao: :rotfl2: . We got to laugh at how serious some of the girls were looking for guys to hook up with. Ahhh to be young and stupid again!
Ethan is with his dad so I have the day to myself. I'm going to clean his room and throw away some things while he'd not here to objectpirate:
