Just found a box of cirriculum items left at my door by UPS.
No docs for us today. :(

:sad1: :sad1: The UPS truck drove right by today and didn't stop. Since I was outside I noticed that he drove down the street and didn't stop at anyone's house - I bet he has my documents and saw me standing out there and decided to make me wait longer :wave2: Bad UPS man :confused3

It is exciting to read that people are getting docs! I can't wait to get home from work and check and see if we have a package waiting! Our UPS man usually comes later so maybe there is some hope!

What type of cirriculum items? Are you a teacher?
Hey everyone! Well, not all of us in Michigan have docs; I did however receive the TSV I ordered from QVC on Saturday, so I can make really cute cards!!! :sunny:

This Can NOT BE! You have Docs in Schenectady, but we don't have them in Clifton Park. Thats not right.
That really isn't right. We live 10 minutes apart. I don't know why you wouldn't have yours. :guilty: Now it would be funny if Stacy gets hers today and you don't. THAT would be some sort of conspiracy against you! :rotfl:
Is this it? I posted it a while back. http://jas.familyfun.go.com/arts-and-crafts?page=CraftDisplay&craftid=10238 pirate:
Thanks Jenny! I needed that. pirate:
Did anyone see Unwrapped the other night on the Food Network?
They did a segment on Key Lime Pie and showed a place that makes the original in Key West. It's the Blonde Giraffe and now on our list of stops. All of us agreed, we'll have to try a piece. They have a website if anyone cares to check it out -- www.blondgiraffe.com
Walker wants the little one in the triangle box. :teeth: I'm sure Gary wants the big on in the bigger box. :earseek:
I checked out this site before--I think Mark posted here previously, or someone did!
Anyway, it is on my "to do" list. The pie-on-a-stick sounds interesting.

OK--so now I NEED to go there! Dumb question- are all these places going to be open seeing as we are in Key West on Labor Day??
I'll be sitting outside waiting for the UPS guy..... :rolleyes1
Okay, so I called and the guy said..."no worries, we are open..You'll get your key lime pie!" Then he said......"we never close".
(I didn't dare ask him about hurricanes?)

My DVC story... In 1997 we went to WDW and stayed at the all stars. It was only my DH and myself. We left DD age 2 home with Grammy. We kept seeing all those DVC booths, and saying that we had to see what it is all about. We are park commandos and didn't have time to take a tour. In 1999 we went back to all star sports again, this time with our 2 DD's. Again said we should look into it. When we got home we called and looked over the package. We decided against it, because we were happy with the all star resorts. For a family of 4 the all star resorts worked for us. My cousin got married in WDW in 2003, and we stayed at the YC, we got a really good discount. This time we are a family of 5, and need a lot more space. Still the commando family that we are, we didn't have time for the tour. The week we got back we called DVC and bought 150 at the BC. We try to go to WDW everyother year and thought 150 would work well for us. Except now we are planning more trips, than we had thought we would. We are now thinking of an add on.
THAT'S HOW IT STARTS!!! Addonitis! :teacher:
We all think will we only need "X" points and then "X" is not enough, So we add a few more points, But now we need a 2 BR, so we add a few more points, so we add on again!! But maybe we would like to stay in a GV next time, invite the family!! It never ends!!

There's docs on two sides....Ohio and Michigan, but nothing here in Indiana yet. Maybe tomorrow. Was really hoping they'd come today since I'm going to visit my sister, who is cruising with me in Indy tomorrow. Wanted to have them so we could look at them together.
Robin...sorry about your accident. As a new owner of a Vue, I feel your pain there. I know I'd be heartsick if it was wrecked, but the important thing is that you're okay.
This Can NOT BE! You have Docs in Schenectady, but we don't have them in Clifton Park. Thats not right.

NO DOCS!!
will the UPS guy leave them or do they need a signature?
I wasn't home today. I was in Bklyn watching Mayor Bloomberg play stickball!
Hey - we hit page 500 - OOOHHH!
(and sorry for all my replies at once - have to seize the moment when you get it).
Lisa - not that it really matters, but my user name is chipscinderelly instead of chips n cinderelly. I cracked up when I read the list.
DVC purchase - well as long as you all promise not to bring it up in front of Matt (lol)... I was to be married at WDW in Nov 2003, however, one month, oh ok, 31 days, before the wedding the dofuss called it off ... on the phone. Yes, on the phone and if my father ever sees him agani I think he'd better run hard and fast. So I went to WDW anyway with some of my family and friends and during that trip my mom and I stayed at the WL where we spoke to the DVC rep. I was thinking of doing the tour but didn't really have time - although mom did encourage it. After I returned from that trip I researched DVC here on the DIS and made the call to DVC. I decided to put that wedding money to good use and am a proud owner of 200 SSR points with an October use year.
Lucky for me Matt and I became great friends during that winter and the rest is history!
GREAT STORY!!
Everything happens for a reason. I am glad you found happiness-twice-DVC and Matt!

For everyone that bought the TSV I thought you might be interested in this post.
I love it - BUT -
on two peas they made me aware that some letters may be missing from the sticker sheets - I did not panick as sometimes the prototypes are used for the online photos and they catch their errors - well WRONG!
The sticker sheets are missing letter! K's are obvious on the first sheet - on two peas they said more are - I haven't looked that far.
BUT as usual great customer service - I called - they are contacting the wearhouse and will be sending out replacement sheets
(MAN is they have to do that for 65,000 kits ordered I hate to be the person who goofed that up - and the dozens of people who probably never noticed - AMAZING!)
No docs here yet. The UPS man slowed down by our house then kept going. I think he is trying to drive me nuts. :rotfl2:

Back in 1995 my sister, dad and I went to WDW for the first time in 11 years. We went back two years later, DL the next, and then back to WDW in 1999. By 2000 we were going down every six months. I had been reading the DVC boards on AOL - before I discovered the DIS- and knew it was a great deal. I didn't have the $$ but knew my sister did so I began to hatch my evil plot. :) I kept mentioning DVC to her, but she was unsure. On our Halloween trip in 2000 she decided she would look into it. As usual, though, our park commando mode never really left us time for the tour. So on our last day we headed to the MK for a ride on the train since we had never made it on this trip and it's a tradition for us. As we exit the bus we see the blue DVC van, a sign? We decide to walk into the office by the hat shop to get some info. Next thing we know the train ride is forgotten we're in the blue van headed for the sales center at BWV. We explain to the rep we have an 1 1/2 to hear the spiel, walk back to BC to get our luggage and get in our rent a car to go to MCO for our flight home. He was quick and convincing and Janet made plans for him to send the paperwork to the house. I think she bought 200 points. A few years later BCV went on sale and she added on. On our West Coast cruise this May/June we decided to do an add-on at SSR with me as a co-owner. They couldn't do that so we bought a joint contract and bought enough to get the free points, too. It's addicting.

I know Im late on this, but,,
But about deciding on DVC.
We had been through the Westgate presentation and had basically prepaid for a week.
We were using our week there and had to go to another presentation.
We liked it alot, but DID NOT like the high pressure tatics.
My DH had heard about DVC and begged me to,
We went and liked what we saw, but we were waiting for Davids 1 year post surgery check up.
We told them we were interested, but we couldnt sign anything that day.
We went home and dreamed and managed to save a bit of money.
Davids appt, was in Gainsville and he got a good report.
We called DVC and told them to get the docs ready, we were coming down to buy.
That was in94.
We loved it so much and borrowed the 1st year.
We were going to add 100 points, but they showed us pictures of VB and were offering an incredible deal.
We were offered park addmission when we used our VB points at OKW until 1999.
So 370 did us fine for 5 years.
Then we moved to Memphis and I became a TDS CM.
Through some special offers and a nice discout, we have brough our total to 900.
220 OKW, 150 VB, 100 OKW, 100, VB. 100 OKW, 100 BCV and 130 SSR.

Emily is the same way. Sometimes I don't fight with her, if we're not going out of the house. But YIKES, some of the stuff she puts together.
I was way behind, been busy working on DH's Pirate Costume--he wants to dress for Pirate night. But had to comment on this one.
We were in Penny's when DS#1 was 3 (he is now 28). He wanted a bandanna to wear to play cowboys with the neighborhood kids and insisted on pink. I told him that the other boys might tease him about a pink one as many people consider it a girl-color but he did not care. After we left that area, him holding the bandanna, an elderly lady came up to me and told me she was glad I had let him make his own choice. She also wanted me to know that when she was a child, pink was a boy color and blue was a girl color since the Virgin Mary wore blue.
Things change with time.
And, Diana--the girls pictures are lovely. Wish I could come to the party to entertain the in-laws. I am better with other people's in-laws than my own. Sometimes I pretend that mine are really someone elses and then I am better with them. When we used to live in Rensselaer County coming to the party would have been easy to do.

DCL called me today. I have a PO Box and they needed my street address. I know that when I booked the cruise I gave them both the PO and street address. This happens a lot. I always make sure that I give both because I never know how they ship anything. I don't know what they do with my physical address after I give it to them, it always seems to get lost. I hate having a PO box, but the Post office does not deliver to my street. Any way she said that the docs. were going out today and they would be here Fri/Mon. at the latest. I can't wait!

I cannot even get the Disney Cruise Line site to let me in to check. I get a red message that they are unable to process my request or something like that and that I should call a human being.
We got our excursion confirmation SENT TO OUR OLD ADDRESS. I had changed our address with DVC and I thought I had changed it with Castaway Club but they still had our old address so guess what is winging it's way to the old house---THE DOCS!! So the DVC lady made the necessary changes and said UPS could use the tracking number to reroute the DOCS.

Do you have a passport office near you or do you have to have your application sent away? Reason being, if they send away for it they send your birth certificate with the application. The lady at the post office told us they were coming back in about 3 weeks. Ours took 5 weeks and 6 days!
Keep working on the 11 day. We're booked and my sister is booking while on board the Aug repo cruise. The TA we used said he heard that Disney wasn't going to offer discounts for this cruise - but as we know everything is subject to change.

Rad, The story is the books are the generic DCL ones and still have the regular tipping guidelines in them. The main tipping IS included. You are still responsible for any minor tipping, such as for room service delivery or bar service drinks.

I bet the Cruise Doc booklets are the same for all cruises so that page is in there all the time. We are a special charter by DVC for Members Only so different arrangements have been made. The DVC site says tips are included. You may tip more if you feel someone deserves it. Many of us tip more than the suggested amount anyway so we appreciate having that list so we know how much DVC is covering and we can tuck a little extra in an envelope for special service.
IDEA: Bring along some thank you notes and leave notes with that extra tip (or instead of the tip since DVC is handling the money.) Let your crew know what you appreciated on this cruise. :cool1:

A word of advice when cooking. If your heat source in the oven come from below (like a gas oven) don't put the rack to low, the caramel can burn and then get hard like a hard candy.

I just came home from a very long day and asked my dh (who also had a day from you-know-where) if the UPS man had come. He said no - I was sad. Then...I went out to chase a bunny from the front yard (the Sheltie won't stop barking until bunny is gone!) and they were there on the front porch behind one of the pillars - our documents! Add Colorado to the list!:cool1:

You guys are cracking me up tonight. I've been reading messages while going through my documents. I have most of it already filled out. My hand started to get tired, so I'll finish up the Bahamas Immigration forms tomorrow. Then, I just need to get Chris to sign his cruise contract and were ready to go.
Well, I'm going to bed early tonight. I was up past midnight last night, and up early with my earlybird, Emily. So, I'm going to try to catch up tonight. I'll chat with the daytime ladies tomorrow!!!

Thanks Lisa and no worries - I didn't realize when I registered for the DIS that my name would be used for anything other than a log in... LOL ... and it's funny to see it in a variety of ways.

Diana, your kids are little and so easy to take out. Pop them into a double stroller and go. Don't be afraid. Once they get used to it, you'll wonder why it took you so long. I do it all the time with 8 of them and can't imagine spending my days home every day all day long.
We have a membership to a local museum which offers us admission to others in the area. It's probably the best $100 I spend in a year. We could travel all over the place using it. In fact, I should check and see if it gets us entrance into any of the museums on Key West.
The other thing I buy in the year is a zoo membership. We get a lot of use out of it -- both for my daycare and my own family.

Stacy can back me up here, we have no zoo, our museums are pretty crappy, or in a crappy area. There is a children's museum in Saratoga, that I hear is very good, but get this--they don't allow strollers!! :confused3 So we'll never go there until the girls are too old! Trust me that double stroller is my best friend, and it's coming on the cruise, so make room for us! I just have no choice right now. Julia doesn't walk and Emma is too young to listen. Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah Tip Of The Day
Sure Castaway Cay is all about fun in the sun, but what if you want to get out of the sun for a little while?
Here's the tip. Head on over to Castaway Jo's (also known as the Grouper Pavilion). It is a covered game room full of family fun. Shuffleboad, foosball, billards and ping-pong are all available. There is also a giant checkerboard.
This area at the far end of the family beach is often overlooked so is usually uncrowded. A nice way to get the family out of the sun for a little while.

Diana, we only had two updates before the last cruise so they are doing much better there. We did have one about two weeks before we sailed which listed the entertainment. Maybe we will get one more before we sail. Either way we know we are in for lots of fun. Face it with this group we could have fun even if Disney didn't plan anything for us!

Just checking - didn't want to see you at the port without a birth certificate. When I was at the post office the other day there was a lady in there applying for her passport and wasn't aware that they would take her birth certificate. She was very concerned because she wouldn't have a birth certificate for maybe up to 6 weeks and she would have to spend that time at the Detroit casinos and not be able to go to the Windsor Casinos. I guess you have to have prioritys!

This was fantastic and I took advantage of the savings many times. However in spring 2003 it was announced that the stores were being sold. Rumors started to swell about the fate of our perks once we were no longer owned by Disney. This didn’t matter so much to me since I traveled to Disney many, many times before I worked at TDS and my family always tried to get the best deal somehow (i.e. annual passholder rate, company rates through my dad’s employment at MetLife, etc.). What I did know was that I wanted to be a DVC member from Day 1 (even though I was only 10 at the time :rotfl2: I tried VERY hard to convince my parents). Even though we vacationed at Disney at least twice a year buying DVC just was not an option for them financially then. So in July 2003 my mom and I went to Disney for a few days. My sister came down w/ a friend a few days later and while we were waiting in the Coronado Springs lobby for them to arrive we just so happened to be sitting by the DVC Info desk. I said “Ma…can we set-up a tour?” She said yes, but I had to agree we’d just listen and I was not to buy on the spot. We set-up the session for the next morning and I was bursting. I had recently graduated college and was hired for a teaching job that coming September. God bless my parents for affording me 4 years of college, plus a car to commute with and no debt after graduation. Soooooooo I had the money I generously received at my graduation party burning a hole in my pocket plus the impending doom of possibly loosing many perks for being a “Cast Member” (all rumored at the time but actually turned out to be true) such as the Cast Member disc. On DVC points. The advisor we sat down with made DVC sound like a great opportunity for me since I had the down payment, promise of employment and my age (24) would provide many years to enjoy DVC w/ my possible future family. I swear I was ready to say YES, but I’ve never doubted my parent’s advice :teeth: My mom said to take the paperwork home and we’d sit w/ dad that weekend and go over it all. We did and they know how much I love Disney so they agreed it was an okay decision for me. At the time they were running a really good Cast Member special on BCV (the one thing I wanted to do most was buy DVC at a disc. before the sale of the stores) and I wanted to buy like 500 points, but my parents said to start w/ 150 to see how I could handle the monthly payments etc. and I could always add-on at another time. Well, that 150 gave me the opportunity to take my parents, DBF, sister & her boyfriend, and my best friend to OKW for a week last summer. It felt great to take my parents after they had taken me for so MANY years. My dad had a twinkle in his eye I must say! Member Homecoming was the first member event I was able to participate in and I had a ball. Brought my aunt w/ me and see came home from that trip an owner too! Since she is single w/ no children she put my sister and I on her SSR deed – very exciting! Things changed and my parents and my aunt bought condos in Celebration, FL (which I also begged my parents to buy into from way back after reading both books on it and becoming very knowledgeable about the town. My parents knew a lot about both DVC and Celebration too so it wasn’t all “my” convincing). Now my dad says, “use the condo…” I will, but I will continue to stay at DVC too. My aunt said that she’ll hold on to her DVC and use it to travel other places, so we still view DVC as a good choice and very long awaited. I love being a MEMBER! :earsboy:

OK, I have a question for all of you that have added on points. What way do you do it? Do you use a re-seller or do you buy direct from Disney? I know there is most likely going to be some good deals on the cruise, but it sure would be nice to to hear from people with experience !! :goodvibes I cant believe that 2 weeks from now we will almost be to WDW!!

We've added on through DVC both times. By the time I figured out the cost of the add-on points after paying closing costs, and factored in the wait time and search time, we decided that it was worth it to get exactly what we wanted, where we wanted it, and not have to worry about stripped contracts or ROFR.

I can't believe that a children's museum doesn't allow strollers, absurd!!
I don't have a budget, so keep an eye on me, otherwise I might go crazy spending money. (And, we don't have a ton of it either)
I can't believe that in just 2 weeks some of us will be on our way to WDW, or will be finishing our packing. We've been planning for so long and it's finally just around the corner. :cheer2: :cheer2:

SCRAPBOOK EXCHANGE.....
On the PC cruise, we did an informal scrapbook exchange after the scrapbook class. The question was asked of me, so I am posting to see if there is interest. There is no obligation to participate. Here is how it worked on the PC cruise.
Each person that wanted to participate purchased no more than $20 worth of scrapbook "stuff" from their part of the country. It didn't have to be Disney stuff, but there was Disney stuff exchanged. Then you put your "stuff" in a bag and brought it to the class and then at the end of the class your name went in a hat and then as your name was drawn you went and picked out another bag of "stuff" that someone else had bought.
About 30 of us participated and we all had a bunch of great new stuff to bring home.
So......................anyone want to participate in this at the end of the class?

Diana, we only had two updates before the last cruise so they are doing much better there. We did have one about two weeks before we sailed which listed the entertainment. Maybe we will get one more before we sail. Either way we know we are in for lots of fun. Face it with this group we could have fun even if Disney didn't plan anything for us!
You are right Mary, in both ways! We have gotten alot more info on this cruise then we did on the last, and they are already doing more for us--the bon voyage party, the scavenger hunt.
And definitely....we could provide our own entertainment with this group!

Could it be???
YES!!! It's a delivery truck!!!
I maintain my composure...
"Don't get too excited", I say to myself...
I hear footsteps on the front porch...
The doorbell rings...
I bound down the stairs like a mad women, and answer the door...
And standing there....
In his cute little uniform........
Holding a nice little envelope........

We've added on points with resale with no problems whatsoever. The value for the $ was great. We started with Disney, but they had no incentives at the time for us. The point value was high, and they had no availability in Boardwalk or OKW, which was where we wanted to purchase. We ended up buying at OKW (the point dues were less there).
We also spoke with a rep on the Member Cruise and inquired about an additional purchase. Our experience was not a + one. The rep was extremely HIGH pressure sell.
We were comfortable with our decision to go resale.
Good luck with your decision. :flower:

Fool me twice............
And I'm doing the document dance!!!!! :dancer: :dancer:
Apparently, the Fed Ex Man must have ran into the UPS man down the street, and told him about the pathetic woman, so involved in her mumblings about documents, that she failed to notice how he looked in his shorts (or so he thought... :rotfl: )...
The UPS man revved up his trusty brown steed...errr truck... rushed back to the UPS facility, searched through thousands of packages, valiantly dealt with the traffic between there and my house, and delivered our cruise documents, looking rather dashing in his brown shorts I must say!! :teeth:
Now, some of you may think it was just chance that these two things happened within an hour, but that's not half as interesting as my tale now is it???
Sooo.... Northern Alabama has a document siting! Oh, and if you hear about a woman in Northern Atlanta who started screaming for no apparent reason... that's just my sil, if she doesn't get her documents today. :rotfl2:

That's a terrible story. Reminds me of a boyfriend of mine who was an NYC EMS worker. He was responding to an accident, got out of the ambulance and a drunk driver hit the car and pinned him against the ambulance and killed him. He was the first NYC EMS person to be killed in the line of duty. This was before 9/11.

Not a hair bow but this reminds me of what I did find. A new supply of my obnoxious green ribbon to attach to our suitcases. Bought all 6 yards I could at Hobby Lobby. Well the UPS guy has made it thru the corn fields of NE Indiana to Fort Wayne and we have docs! Now I'm really excited....Good Luck to all of you who are still waiting. BTW, the box said 3 day select shipping, maybe that's why it is taking so long for some of us to get them.
:wave2: Hi! I think we're going to be the last one's to get our doc's! I just called DCL and they just sent them out yesterday and said it will take 2-3 business days!!! I guess as long as they get here by the 31st, we're okay - so I'm not going to worry? On the other hand, I'm still a little concerned about Northwest's mechanics going on strike! Ugh, I'll be so ready for a konk kooler!
Oh, and count me in with the scrapbooking "goodie bags" (or whatever they're called)!!!! :earsgirl:

I was talking to MS. I think the CM checked since I was changing my transportation. I wouldn't call just to check on docs just yet though. They do get mailed in shifts. If you don't have them by the middle of next week, then call.

Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah Tip Of The Day
Be sure and bring your Disney cards with you. By that I mean you DVC card, your AP's, DDE card, even your Disney Collector Society card. You just never know what DVC has planned.
Here's why. Last Member Cruise they had an offer that if you joined the Collectors Society onboard you would get a DVC trip ticket holder (you know one of those things big enough to hold your passport, tickets, etc.). Well I had just renewed mine. I was talking to another DIS'er one night when the collector society rep stopped and talked to us. He asked if we had joined when I told him I had just renewed he told me to stop by and get my holder!
Then I went to a collector society program. I brought my collector society card. At the end of the program the host asked if anyone had thier card. I took mine out right away and by doing so won a copy of Bambi autographed by the illustrator who was a guest at the talk.
So bring your cards - you just never know! :)

Boy, I can't believe that that countdown is getting SO close. Only 2 more weeks and we'll be getting ready to go. I really need to get myself in gear and get things ready to go. I've already started packing stuff in a suitcase. I need to start thinking about what we're going to wear, etc.
Great tip, Mary!! You just never know when those cards can come in handy.
So, has everyone that received their docs, filled them out? I have everything done but 3 of the Bahamas Immigration forms. I'll fill those out today and get Chris to sign his stuff and I'll pack those in my suitcase too, with our passports (and Madison's BC, just in case her passport doesn't make it here before we leave).

My question is did they offer anything for add-ons on the ship?
I was on the 2002 member cruise but I don;t remember much from it.

They had two offers for add-ons. The first was a crystal piece if you bought 100 or more points. The second offer was $10 per point Magical Beginnings if you bought 100 or more points at Beach Club.

Two weeks from right now we should be on the road for the 2nd day. Leaving TN and heading down to WDW! So close!
Today's fluffy question of the day.......
What other areas of the DIS do you read/post at?
Thanks to Mary (wdwlvr) for the idea. :)
I usually check in daily at the DVC & DVC Community board to see what, if anything is going on over there. I enjoy reading some of the trip reports/posts specific to Hilton Head - because it's so different from WDW. It also keeps me in touch with DVC as sometimes the DIS is the place to find out the scoop.
Lately, I've spent a lot of time reading on the main cruise board. I wonder why that is? :teeth:
I browse the CB and post occassionally. I always stay away from the cat fight threads, though. :earseek:
If we have a trip coming up, I'll venture over the the theme park and restaurant boards. I stop by on the budget, family and scrapbooking boards from time to time.
So, I guess if I think about it, I'm really all over. :rotfl2:

Today's fluffy question of the day.......
What other areas of the DIS do you read/post at?
I read the DCL boards every day and have for a couple of years now.
I read the DVC boards at least a couple of times a week. More when there is something going on (like initial talk about a DVC event).
I skim the Community Board daily. The only thing I post regularly over there is the weekely Nascar thread.
Right before our trips to WDW I may go over to the theme park boards as well.
I definately consider the DCL boards my home base here on the DIS.
Cindy---better add $200 for scrapbooking supplies!!
Ahh, but this isn't part of the cruise budget. That's just a downfall of trying to buy only $20 in the scrapbooking store.
Note to self, bring cash to SB store to control expenses. :rotfl:

Let's hope for today :teeth:
Receiving the docs makes it more real and it's just a reminder that the cruise date is fast approaching.
We went on a cruise in Feb 2004 that we booked 6 days before. I had to pick my docs up at the terminal. That was actually very easy, I walked up to the desk, gave my name, the lady there opened the docs, pulled out what I had to fill out, gave me the rest of the docs. As I was filling them out she was putting everything else together and I was on my way. It was nice not to have to keep track of cruise docs before hand and not to worry that I was forgetting them. The oddest part was when we dropped off the luggage at the curb, I still needed luggage tags and I didn't know my cabin #. I asked the guy there, gave him my name, he checked his clip board then called to another guy who came out with 2 dogs! They sniffed all around my luggage and went on. He explained that I was flagged because of booking so close to the cruise date. Cute dogs :dog:

We added on during the last member cruise. Or I should say my DH added on. I don't think he could resist the DVC crystal piece. (It does look really nice on it's lighted base.) The girls and I were sleeping in our cabin and DH decided to go for a little walk and "maybe" talk to the sales reps. When I woke up in the morning we had another 100 points.

I bet your docs will come today! :flower:
Are you flying out of Midway or O'Hare? Our limo is picking us up next Saturday at 6:30am!
It is getting so close! :Pinkbounc I guess I better drag the suitcases out this weekend.
We're flying out of O'Hare. I'm going to guess your flying out of Midway, is that right?
We never put our suitcases away from our trip to Hilton Head. Just need to fill them now! :cool1:

Nope! We are flying on American out of O'Hare. Midway is easier for us but American had the best rate. We were originally booked on ATA out of Midway until they canceled their Chicago to Orlando route.

I went to the Member Block Party at PI on Tuesday. It was a lot of fun. Sorta like the Member Homecoming events. Deevy was there! They played trivia; many of the questions were the same as those at MH though. I liked the idea that they gave out tickets which you needed to redeem for popcorn and ice cream. Water and lemonade were free. Free chair massages from SSR, balloon artist, stilt walkers and DJ all added to the fun. Two large baskets were raffled off as well as meal vouchers. I most liked the free admission to PI after the event. We went to Comedy Warehouse which was fun and because it was a Tuesday it was less crowded. If you’re here this Tuesday 8/23 you should participate (it’s the last one). I just wonder how similar our Bon Voyage party will be to this event?!?!?
Member Update on Tuesday was informative, but no mention of the cruise : (
Deevy still claims she’s on the waiting list! :goodvibes
Quick question...My sister would like to go to church (Mary, Queen of the Universe) on Sunday morning and asked if there will be time before we head to the port. Does anyone know when services are held there and whether or not there will be time to attend?
There is also a 9:30 a.m. Mass at Mary Queen of the Universe.

Thanks for taking the time to compile the list. A couple of items to add may be beach items for the kids and candy for the movies.
