you have a fantastic time and come home knocked up.it will be like we all were there for the event.
just think of the baby shower i could give you.....oh i do love parties that follow the white hat and gloves manner book.

Then she'd have a "bean in the oven" :lmao:

i love looking at normal looking young people.

uhhhh...... :confused3

i'm sure there are many times that the homies get tired of reading my crap. some that know me well usually skip over my crap to get to the good stuff. if you stay away, just think of the disservice you will be doing to the homies.
they need to read your crap too.......:rolleyes1

nope....i read everyone's crap....ESPECIALLY macravens :rolleyes1

thread hog??

hey that is my and bubba's moms game. puleezzzeee.....barb and i are neck to neck, don't you try to steal that title.
in fact, barb is such a sweet homie, i will let her win this week on post count. :rolleyes1 it's that and i work all this week and can't get on line during work hours now.

Who you callin' "thread hog"??? :snooty:

:rotfl2:

There is nothing to 'let me win'....i just find it easier to reply to posts individually rather than multi....(sometimes I do multi cuz it IS easier....but, not when i have 4 pages to read :headache: )

be very glad i still don't know how to post pictures on this site yet.
uh, i'm not glad...wish you'd figure it out...YOU JUST HAVE TO HAVE A MAC INSTEAD OF A REGULAR PC LIKE THE REST OF US THAT CAN HELP YOU...DON'T YOU??? :headache:

The Cocoa fans have started some trash talk and they aren't very good at it so all in good fun I'm sending them the following in an email:

Q. How many Tigers does it take to win a State Championship?
A. No one knows and we may never know.

Q. What did the Tigers get on their FCAT's?
A. Drool. No, the principals sopped up the drool and filled in the answers. Oops, that was last year.

Q. Did you hear Coach Wilkison is only dressing 10 players for the Tigers game against Naples?
A. The rest will have to dress themselves.

Q. Did you hear the Tigers gave up field turf in favor of an asphalt Wal-Mart parking lot?
A. That is so their cheerleaders won't be tempted to graze.

Q. Fat as cows, huh, are they pretty?
A. Their cheerleaders are so ugly that they worked Halloween Horror Nights without makeup.

Q. How ghetto are the Tigers?
A. They keep their food stamps in a money clip.

Q. How do you keep a Tiger off your lawn?
A. Install a goal post.

Q. Is Naples in another league?
A. They sure are and that doesn't mean we bowl on different nights.

Q. Shall we go to the game?
A. No need and keep the reservations in Orlando for the 14th.

Q. Who is going to win?
A. Naples 41-9.

I know we have some football fans on this thread that can help me add a few?

moral to the story, don't put fingers where fingers don't belong.
don't push that button homie

You don’t know how upset I was. I will no longer put my fingers where they don’t belong.

Geez! I miss ONE lousy day and I've got TWELVE PAGES to catch up on!!! :scared1:

Can you hear me groaning? I'm gonna be a good girl and go back to the last stuff I missed and start my ketchup.

I slept in a little yesterday. Not used to getting home at midnight (yikes). I had a fun time Saturday night and then we spent yesterday cleaning house, buying a tree, getting the tree inside, stringing lights on the tree, and then unboxing and hanging ornaments on the tree. I have pictures and I'll get them up if I can ever get back to this page again. I may get lost somewhere back around page 515. If you don't hear from me soon, send out a virtual search party...

Hey I have had plenty of those days. You didn’t see me complaining did ya? Oh wait you probably did! :lmao I was wondering what that weird sound was I heard.

Glad you had a fun Sat. night with your buddy. I never made it out to get a tree this weekend. Need to get that taken care of asap or Ally’s going to start complaining.

She is the same mom that walks her kids into school each morning (STILL? After 4 months? They don't know where their room is yet?) and both kids are dragging rolling backpacks behind them. Umm... in my paperwork that I signed at the beginning of the year, it specifically requested NO rolling backpacks. She's a piece of work. :sad2:

Beautiful pictures Lori! An Ally is such a doll. :goodvibes

I don't know about everywhere, but around here they can't bury the lines. We can't have natural gas lines either. We live in the foothills and they would have to blast into rock to get anything in the ground.

I had a great time at the party. I'll have to see if Leta's pics came out because I forgot my camera.

You handled fluffy quite well I do believe. I really don’t understand why they say no rolling backpacks, you oughta see the amount of crap some kids have to bring home, but I absolutely hate it when there are parents that think the rules don’t apply to them or their kids. That’s just wrong. Great example to be setting for you kids lady!

Thanks for the compliments on Ally. She’s my sweetie!

Well, our lines could be buried, but they aren’t. Not really sure why.

Hope Leta’s pics turned out. Would love to see them.

Good looking tree! Good looking kid too, but I'm guessing he runs you more than 50 bucks a year...

I can't make the PTA meetings. They hold them at 4pm on Thursday afternoons. I have 2 small children and I couldn't drag them to a meeting... and I can't work out babysitting once or twice a month like that. I'm sure she and her club are active members. Whatever.

All our convenience stores sell beer and wine, but not liquor. You have to go to a "package" store for the hard stuff. Well, I shouldn't say ALL our stores do. I live in a dry county. There are gas stations on every major road just across the county line, so the locals have to drive a few more miles to stock up. Whatever. I don't drink beer at all and I don't drink anything else very often, so I doesn't make much difference to me. I think it is stupid, but whatever.

I won't get sick of you! Will you get sick of me? :guilty:

Yeah, I bet he sets her back more than $50 a year! I know mine do.

You know, maybe you should make it to one of those PTA meetings, boys in tow, and sit right next to Fluffy!

Our convenience stores only sell beer, oh and it is only 3.2.

I could never get sick of you. Thanks!

I would love to meet up with the two of you as well.....it would be a hoot :rotfl:

Me three, or four, or five, which ever number I am.

I think me and jim lasting until the 3rd quarter in the freezing rain and snow and whatnot yesterday was pathetic - we should have just bagged it and sold the tickets......but we managed to have an ok time :thumbsup2

You’re a better fan than I. I like watching from the comfort of my own home. Freezing rain and snow, no way!

If Marcie disappears again, I'm thinking alien abduction. Weird light in the sky? Yep. They're coming for her...

While I can't think of any to add.... let me just say that they are :rotfl2:

**Let the trash start flyin **

i copied your list and for extra credit will have some of the students help me on your request.

The second one is kind of funny. Last year Cocoa's school board fired 4 principals for providing false information on the FCAT's.
Give the kids a start by telling them that Carrot Top is an alumni of Cocoa.
And the classic "cuckoo for cocoa puffs".

I KNEW there was a logical reason that my arm hurt! Needed you guys to figure it out for me! :rotfl:

Actually DH insists it was all light that night because of the reflection from all the snow? :confused3 Doesn't make much sense to me because otherwise it'd be light all winter since there always seems to be snow! But who knows!

Enjoyed the jokes - sure they could be applied to a lot of teams and I thought I'd heard most of them before but a lot of them were new to me!

I'm being bored at work here (yet again - are you seeing a trend?), but when I get a chance I'll try the multi-quoting thingie! I thought people did multi-quotes by just clicking on each post individually and cutting and pasting, OR by writing the
things themselves. Never knew there was a button for it and I've been here 8 years (ok, not looking very hard, but still!).

Sorry I wasn't around last night. I owed someone else an email (yes,I do have other "imaginary" friends besides you guys!) for about 2 weeks and I finally buckled down and replied to them rather than getting caught up on this thread. :scared: Sorry! It won't happen again! Well, not soon anyways, because it will take them a few weeks to reply to me, etc.!

I know I owe a zillion replies, but I can't go back through this easily at work because the computer's so slow. I did read it all - maybe I'll get a chance to reply more tonight!

marciemi

Lori - congrats on the tags!

Sharon - congrats on looking skinny to us at least! Thought the camera was supposed to ADD 10 pounds? Maybe the computer monitor subtracts 10?!

Hockey must be like soccer in terms of it never being cancelled! Remember when my son, who was only NINE at the time, still had stupid soccer PRACTICE on 9/11. Called the coach to see if he still had practice, and the attitude was like, "Why wouldn't there be?" I was kind of like "Um, because of everything that's happened today?" :confused3 Then the coach kind of backtracked and said something like "Well, of course if it affected you PERSONALLY, it's fine for him to miss today". I was just wondering if there was anyone it didn't affect personally!

So anyways, don't get me started on the soccer thing. Number of games in lightning with a ref saying "it's far away". Kids played baseball for several years and I swear if it looked like rain they called the game. Many times they got to go to a soccer game or practice that they were planning on skipping when baseball was cancelled (and of course soccer still went on) that same evening!

Did I mention I'm still bored?

As far as the snow (which I seem to "love" about as much as most of you guys!), Tricia, there's a reason it shuts down everything in the south. When we lived in North Carolina, it was similar to what you said - an inch of snow and the world ended.

But even if you knew how to drive in snow (I grew up in Michigan), it really didn't help because the vast majority of people you were facing on the roads didn't. And they'd be all over the place. Add in that most areas don't have salt trucks, let alone plow, and it just isn't even safe to go out.

Here at the first sign of snow the trucks are out. They plow our streets a couple times a day and salt inbetween. Went walking this morning and they'd ploughed the bike/walking trail already. Just a different mindset.

I remember when we were in Charlotte one of the newpaper columnists making fun of people running out and stocking up on bread, milk, gas, etc. as soon as snow was predicted. The article said something like "As the snow piled up 2 and 3 flakes deep..." :rotfl: !

Okay, I'm going to do some work now. Really. Right after I check my email! ;)

Man, I think I missed getting to tell you to have a great trip! Hope it is wonderful.

I fear the years that my kids are old enough. I just know I will get a Power Point presentation, complete with catalog numbers or stores where they are located. :scared:

Now, a girls only trip during hunting season sounds like a good plan. That's thinking ahead Lori!

Well I think the PPP would be better than no list at all. Mine are really bad about making lists.

I think it is a brilliant idea myself.

While I'm waiting for DS to get ready and help me shovel, I found these photos of his senior pics I took one day last fall.

Those pics are great Sharon. He is one very handsome young man. Now I didn’t see any mention elsewhere of him actually helping you shovel that snow. Did you get any help at all?

Good morning all-

I also enjoyed your pics, Christmas at WDW and the one of your DD in the outfit at AK :thumbsup2 . Your DD really looks like Bindi Irwin(Steve Irwin's DD) in that pic :thumbsup2

Thanks Rose. I never noticed it before but I guess she does look a little like Bindi.

Thread hog? Anytime one of us has time to spend on the computer, be it catching up or chatting, we post a bunch. That doesn't make us a hogger, does it? Am I a thread hog?

There are rejects from Godiva? What am I missing out on here?

My right arm has been bothering me too. I finally figured out that it is from playing Wii games with Joshua. I have Wii arm!

Yeah, it really is sad that this world can’t be a peaceful place for just one day.

Well, I guess we can all just be happy being thread hogs.

I want some of those Godiva rejects myself!

Tricia has WII arm????

Tricia - no, I don't have Wii arm. I was thinking maybe sympathy pains for Brett Favre? :confused3 Don't know and it's not any better this morning - sigh!

Lori - I don't think anyone was criticizing you, but I do feel a bit frustrated too when I log in and there are 4 pages to go through and they're between 2-3 people basically IM'ing back and forth. Feel like it was a private party that I wasn't cool enough to be invited to! :cool2: Now I just kind of scroll through the late night stuff and look for pictures but don't bother reading the back and forth conversations.

Sharon - your pics look like a good size to me!

Well, I'm off to work with a "sick" son here at home yet again. My boys have been passing the "sore throat, feel icky" bug back and forth. See you all soon! Have a great Monday, and to quote Mac from many pages back (I LOVE this quote) "When today's over there'll only be 4 more days until the weekend!"

How is the arm today Marcie? I’m telling you it was the aliens probing your arm.

I know there are times I think there are a lot of yaking going on but I am more like man I wish I had been online to be in on the fun, not thinking I wasn’t invited to the party.

Hope the boys are feeling better.

no school anywhere in maine or new hampshire.

How much bad weather did you end up getting and better yet, did you get another snow day????

Hey Mike! I was once a Sci Fi geek. I probably will again when I can watch grownup tv again.

The area I live shuts down if we get snow. With the exception of the 24 hour grocery store and the 24 hour Huddle House, nothing is open if we get snow. Of course, we only get snow once or twice a year, so we don't have much equipment to clear the roads or any of that helpful stuff.

I kinda like watching the Disney channel. At least I don’t have to worry about Ally walking is and seeing something she shouldn’t, like last night when dh had control of the tv cause we were gone. Wasn’t real thrilled with the scene that was on and him not having enough common sense to change the channel. Not that it was real bad, but it was an almost sex scene on the knew show “Life” that she didn’t need to see. Sometimes I just want to choke him!

Well, we would probably be better off if things did shut down. There was a little snow in OKC a few days ago & there were so many wrecks it was unbelievable and the snow was all melted before the morning drive started. Very scary!

I remember as a kid, here in Florida, that it started snowing once and they let out school so the kids could see it. It melted when it hit the ground but it was snowing!

We have had those kinds of snows before but I bet it is a lot less normal there then it is here.

Ok, about an hour ago, I get this phone call from my township (the place my family and I went to this past Sat. for the children's Christmas party).:santa:
They tell me a reporter from our local newspaper wants to interview a family that was present at the party. Well, the person from my township volunteered ME to be interviewed! I was like WHAT?! Ok, like what do I say??:confused3

Have you done the interview yet? How did it go? I am so glad you have something to be happy about finally. Here’s to a very happy & prosperous 2008!

I don't know what we would do if we lost you! :grouphug:

Thanks! You are so sweet.

Hanging ornaments on Sunday was hysterical. They were all clumped together in two spots... one at Joshua's height and one at Daniel's height.

Carol has had a really hard time with this round of chemo. She is doing some better today. She is off getting IV fluids and her Procrit shot, so hopefully that will help even more.

Lori, here is my lesson for today. Never, never let something that someone else says cause you to alter your behavior if there was no intent to offend behind your actions. You are a sweet, warm natured, good hearted person. Don't you change a thing.

Our tree is decorated by Ally so we have had lots of those years where everything is hung in the same areas and there are lots of bare spots. I love those trees! Took me a while to get used to it but they are very special.

How is Carol doing today? I hate that she is going through this and having such a hard time with it.

Thanks for the life lesson. I don’t know why it hit me wrong, but it did. Guess I am just too sensitive. I never want to hurt anyones feelings or upset them.

So, Raven got new tags... Lori got her first tags... and I MISSED IT! :sad2:

Well the problem with having so much time to post at one time is that I always seem to then not have any time for a few days.

If I don’t get some time to post I’m not ever gonna make it to 3000 before the end of the year.

:lmao: :lmao: Sadly, yes....heck, karate alone is $85 a MONTH.... but, I am comforted by knowing you have TWO kids :rolleyes1

Oh that’s bad!

loribell - I guess us homies will be on opposite sides at the Fiesta Bowl. Good luck to your Sooners - but WVU needs a major decisive win to get RESPECT back. State is still in mourning. Many folks are scrambling as they booked New Orleans packages last week. As they say - don't count your chickens. . . :rolleyes1

-Jennifer -

Well, all I can say is tell your coach not to say anything to make the team/coaches mad. They won’t have a chance to win if they make them mad. I wish you luck, I guess.

Charlie Brown xmas special on tonight at 8 eastern.
not the usual xmas one.

NEW THREAD RULE!

NO ONE QUITS!!!! we are not quitters.
we are universal blue

No quiting going on here! But I don’t have any lime green crocs.

If you only come back here and post 'occassionaly'..THAT will offend ME! So quit talkin' like that....remember....NO QUITTERS!!! Once you are a member of this thread, you are considered "one of the crazies" for life! ;) :lmao:

Well, don’t be offended. I just got super busy. I am going to try my best to get completely caught up tonight.

Okay....you KNOW we won't forget...but YOU have to promised to let us know when you are IU... :cool2: And you know we don't forget cuz we are still WAITING ON KATIES HALLOWEEN PIX :confused3

madam chairman, i think i see rose in the 3rd row with her hand up.
and if you can't see her, look to her side and there is tricia jumping up and down with naked boys to get her second in for the amendment passage.

yea, i thought of the person also when i went shopping for it.

now i have to find where i hid it.

I’ll third it although I am a little slow. And I gotta ask too, why did you hide it?

when families are large, many draw names to celebrate a happy occasion.
think of us as that one big happy family. (except for me and tracie when we don't get our morning coffee....)

And this is a wonderful family! I love you guys!

i thought jumping naked boys lady had a nice ring to it.

Me too!

i think i get an 'assist' on that.... i think i 'provoked' it

Yep, and you didn’t want me bringing any logic in to the discussion either.

uh, i'm not glad...wish you'd figure it out...YOU JUST HAVE TO HAVE A MAC INSTEAD OF A REGULAR PC LIKE THE REST OF US THAT CAN HELP YOU...DON'T YOU??? :headache:

Hey I know how to work with a mac, Mac. What you need to know.

Oh yeah, this was lots of fun!

I see all the invisible writings. And what did you forget?

now i am wondering if anybody has ever figured out my invisible writings.......been doing it off and on.....

sometimes i surprise myself and find out there are more blondes out there in the world.

in my next life, i want to be a redhead.

Saw that one too.

i hate the snow.
i hate the cold weather
i hate being stuck in the house with stupid people in the winter......wait, i'm in the house but i'm not the stupid one.

i have never been and never will be a snow bunny.

Totally agree with that one, and I’m not the stupid one either. I’m actually free of that one till late Thursday! Yippee!!!!!

you are so funny...

we have those markers on all our fire hydrants in town.

i need to go take a picture next to it so i can measure my butt too.

So we are measuring our butt’s with fire hydrants now?

Ok, how about a smiling Sharon?

Very pretty!

I would agree....smilie Sharon....happy it's over maybe??

Sorry was mia for awhile...DH came home from hockey and wanted HIS computer back :rolleyes1 So, came downstairs and fired up my laptop and started makin' his lunch for tomorrow... then he comes downstairs with an old video of him and some buddies (on a car ride home) that he burned onto dvd...also on dvd, was some family pix (DH's late mom included) and Bubba when he was 2-2.5....i'm a sucker for pictures...even a bigger sucker for home video...especially of my baby!!!

Gotta love the old family pics!

I would wear pj’s all day if I could.

That's true...still weird thou. I wonder if he can still.....?

Oh my!

 I'm sure...why couldn't he :confused3 ....but ya can't tell me those girls would rather have him than some young beefcake.....

Ya know...I heard a news story the other day that said someone "polled" senior citizens and asked them how often they do it.... Turns out, the poll said as much as younger folk....3-4 times a week  Dunno if I believe THAT :sad2:
Think of the stories they will have for their grandchildren!

Hi guys! Happy evening! Home from work so not quite as bored!

Meant to write a story about the hydrant markers. DH works for a large company in Green Bay that has centers all over the country. A few years back, they had a potential candidate up from either Mississippi or Alabama (can't remember, but deep south). He saw the markers on the hydrants and asked what they were for. One of the guys explained they were so the fire department could find the markers when the snow was too deep.

The guy burst out laughing, and was like "No, REALLY, what are they for?" Saw everyone's bewildered looks as they replied, "Um, really!" He immediately said "That's it! No WAY am I coming here!" :sad2:

before i post in reply to the other posts, let me say this:

why should we wait until mid or later october to get together?
let's do it sometime this summer!
for the ones that work, we could do a 3 day weekend.
take off work on a friday.

meet on a friday and later on sunday, all will go back to their own 4 walls.

the homies with kids, might not be able to get away during the school year.

we can do the homies, or the homies with their family.
i will leave my family at home............
you really don't want to meet mine. but i'll bring their pics with me.

at first i thought we would decide on a location and hotel and book rooms.
we could squeeze together to save money if need be.
if some want to bring their kids/beans with or without the spouses, that would be kewl also.

1. who wants to meet in the summer?
2. what city do we want to go to?

i've been saying philly as they are places we could sight see..
if you have suggestions, share it with us.

i think it is lori/ok, marcie, ws, rose, il, mac il, for the midwest.
i think the rest is on the east coast or somewhere near PA.

Well all I can say is OUCH!!!! And :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Just watch out, that kind of ammunition is what fires our football team up. you wouldn't believe how many games we have won from shear desire and anger.

Same thing happened this weekend with OU & Missouri. Missouri, or Misery as we like to call them, trash talked all week and they found out just who the better team was.

By the way did anyone see that 6 of the coaches in the coaches poll still had Missouri ranked above OU? Umm, did they see the trouncing we gave them. Never any question who was gonna win that game.

Wow, you guys did alot of chatting yesterday!

I can't keep up! :headache:

I thought people did multi-quotes by just clicking on each post individually and cutting and pasting, OR by writing the QUOTE things themselves. Never knew there was a button for it and I've been here 8 years (ok, not looking very hard, but still!).

That's what we're here for Marcie! Any more aches & pains you need us to diagnose.

Well, I was really thinking the same thing as DH, there was probably a low, thick cloud cover and the lights were reflecting off of it and the snow. It does happen hear at times and that is what the light is. You can tell from out in the country looking back at the city lights.

The button to multi-quote was added not all that long ago. It hasn't been there the whole eight years.

Lori - congrats on the tags!

Thanks, I like finally having tags.

I remember that story about the soccer coach. What a moron!

They watch the weather for lightning here and cancel games once it is within 10 miles or so. Probably not soon enough though.

Will at least you are getting to stay caught up with the posting! See, that job is good for something after all, you're getting paid to talk to us!

Really. Right after I check my email! ;)

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Sure you are!

Oh, and I have to go to the Post Office for work this afternoon to do a bulk mailing. Don't you think that would be a good time to send packages and presents, including my ornament swap? Exactly what I thought! :cool1:

Now I'm getting depressed....what ELSE is wrong with this freakin state I live in?!?! (oh..and what is "only 3.2" ?? :confused3 )

i always heard 3.2 beer referred as rabbit pi$$.
one time when i was 19 years old, i got a friend to go with me to a border town in wisconsin. at that time, a 19 year old could legally buy 3.2 beer.

i told my mom i was staying with a friend, and she told her mom the same thing.
it only took us 6.5 hours to get to wisconsin from st louis area.
we got a dump of a room at a flea bag hotel.
bought a 6 pack of rabbit pi$$.

i took one sip and said yuck.
my friend got drunk and she puked.

funny how your question of what is 3.2 shakes up some of those past memories...............
i'm sure this was more 411 than you really wanted to know

The second one is kind of funny. Last year Cocoa's school board fired 4 principals for providing false information on the FCAT's.
Give the kids a start by telling them that Carrot Top is an alumni of Cocoa.
And the classic "cuckoo for cocoa puffs".

carrot top is so yesterday at my school.
even britney is behind times with them.

Okay, is the irritating little ditty from WDW anything that plays from the "singing rocks"? We always joke when we walk around the parks and you get close to a planter that has a speaker built into one of those fake rocks... "AAAGH! The rocks! The rocks are singing!!!" We're weird. I know.

do what any normal nice person would do.
wait until real dark and carol and deb don't have the lights on at their place.
move those suckers to your yard and plug them in.

now you have as much decorations as they used to.

and for your other statement.....
i'm sure the ornament you bought the homie will be cherished by her.
i know who you have and she will love it.

Okay, I could do that. Of course, they would steal them back the next night... but it could be like a revolving Christmas display.

And, you have NO idea how hard it is for me to not talk about the ornament thing. I want to say who I was shopping for and what I wanted to get them and why I got them what I got them and... and... :bitelip: :hyper:

why should we wait until mid or later october to get together?
let's do it sometime this summer!
That would be great. I would love to put a face to all your screen names. Looking at a picture just isn't the same.
for the ones that work, we could do a 3 day weekend.
take off work on a friday.
It will take Penny and I 6 or 7 hours to get to FL if that's where we end up.

meet on a friday and later on sunday, all will go back to their own 4 walls.

the homies with kids, might not be able to get away during the school year.

we can do the homies, or the homies with their family.
Uh, after a winter cooped up with my family, I will leave them home gladly!

at first i thought we would decide on a location and hotel and book rooms.

Location, hmmm, have to think on that one. Somewhere with a beach and warm water would be fun.
we could squeeze together to save money if need be.
if some want to bring their kids/beans with or without the spouses, that would be kewl also.

Evening folks...just stopping by to say hi.

Sorry some of you guys are being hit by that winter storm...it's soo early in the season too.

Way to early, glad that is not happening here. It was very warm here today, very cold yesterday and I have no idea what tomorrow is going to be like. The kids are all getting sick. I wish the weather would pick something and stay there for a while, preferably something around the 60's.
Tricia - Loved all th epics. Carol looks beautiful!

and i can see it now.
todd smiling and laughing at the homies in the north with the snow......

it started snowing at 2:30 and hasn't stopped yet.

someday i will get to be just like you todd!
live in the south, laugh at the cold weather

No, Todd wouldn't be laughing at you guys. Looks like we are all going to be living in the same area in a few years!

Well...I sometimes miss the snow. After all...it's kinda hard getting into the Christmas spirit when it's 85 degrees outside....but....I manage. ;)

It's supposed to get into the mid 40's tonight here. http://bestsmileys.com/cold/11.gif

Totally agree. It was even weirder being there for Christmas last year with that weather. It was just odd, even though many years it is pretty warm here too.

Oh thanks a lot! now I have that one stuck in my head.

i always heard 3.2 beer referred as rabbit pi$$.
one time when i was 19 years old, i got a friend to go with me to a border town in wisconsin. at that time, a 19 year old could legally buy 3.2 beer.

i told my mom i was staying with a friend, and she told her mom the same thing.
it only took us 6.5 hours to get to wisconsin from st louis area.
we got a dump of a room at a flea bag hotel.
bought a 6 pack of rabbit pi$$.

i took one sip and said yuck.
my friend got drunk and she puked.

funny how your question of what is 3.2 shakes up some of those past memories...............
i'm sure this was more 411 than you really wanted to know

Well, now you all know why I don't drink beer. Our's really does taste that bad! YUCK! Great story Mac, but I was an angel and would never have done anything like that, really I wouldn't have. :rolleyes1

stealing the sister's outdoor christmas decorations reminds me of the tombstone i had.

when i was in college, i was the non drinker so i was always the designated driver.

all were underage so we would get one person to buy the booze.
someone would pick me up and i would do the driving then.

i was always afraid i would get in trouble so i would take the homies to a cemetery at night. where i lived, you have farm land and small cemetaries in the country outside the city. i figured we would never get caught by the law and we never were.

but when you have about 7 drunks together at the same time, the ideas get crazy.
to thank me they broke off a tombstone that had my name on it. it was an old one, dated back to the 1800's.

every weekend one of that group would place it in my parents drive way and leave a note. after dad got over being pissed, he would move the tombstone over by the garage. that night, someone would come retrieve it.

and again, the next weekend it came back home to me.

this went on for 4 months. the time it was in our driveway with christmas lights all around it was the ending of it for the parents.

i had to hide that thing under my bed for the longest time.
i couldn't get my friends to stop stealing it back after dad would hide it in the back of the garage. so i had to hide it in my room.

i forgot to take the tombstone with me when i moved to chicago when i left home.

my mother was not happy with me at all when they found it.
they moved to another house and when the movers took the beds, they mentioned to the folks they don't do tombstones.

Sharon - I was responding to the two things that Todd said. The singing rocks in response to the annoying ditty at WDW... and the Airplane! comment in response to the "stop calling her Shirley" bit. The two aren't connected, I was just too tired to divide his one post into two quotes.

Raven - I have a drunks-saying-thanks story, but I don't think it will compare with a tombstone. How drunk do you have to be in order to think breaking off a tombstone and depositing it in someone's driveway is a good idea?

Here is mine. Well, it isn't actually my story. This is one that an old friend of mine used to tell. When he was still in high school, he and his buddies used to gather in a vacant lot to do their drinking. Sorta the same theory you had... they were away from everyone else and never got bothered by the law. One winter night, they were standing around an oil drum burning whatever scrap wood they could find to keep them warm while they were drinking. Scott (my friend) drank way too much and passed out. His buddies drove him home and dumped him on his front lawn. They started to drive away, but being concerned friends, they decided that he might get cold lying there on his front lawn all night... so, they drove back to the vacant lot, put the burning barrel in the back of their pickup truck, took it back to Scott's house, and set it beside him on his front lawn.

Scott used to say that his parents were "less than pleased" to wake up and find their teenaged son passed out on the lawn with a barrel of junk smouldering beside him. :rolleyes1

I know I'd be less than pleased, not only do I have to deal with the whole drinking issue, now I have to find a way to dispose of the barrel of junk!
The story sounds like it would make a good story line for Desperate Housewives. I can just see the wives all standing together across the street looking at the barrel and kid and shaking their heads.

Thank you for the Christmas card. You have a beautiful family!

Did you see Mac's post about all of us Homies getting together this summer? Any good ideas on where we could meet? If I remember correctly, there is some kind of tourist destination not far from you!?! I'm thinking summer is your busy time at the RV store and you might not be able to get away.

I don't know if you would really consider it much of a destination. Helen, GA is a town built for tourism, but it isn't much. Most of the people who come to our area are here for the scenery. We're in the foothills... the southern terminus of the Appalachian Trail is about 25 miles from my house. There isn't that much to DO, just a lot of pretty nature to SEE. We have some winery places that have cropped up and Dahlonega has a very nice town square with lots of little bistro type restaurants and wine tasting rooms. It's small, however. I am about a 2 hour drive from Chattanooga, TN... about 3 hours from Pigeon Forge, TN or Asheville, NC... 5 hours from Myrtle Beach, SC... 1.5 hours from Atlanta, GA... well, there are a lot of places around here.

Yes, the summer is our busy season. I doubt that I could get very far away from home unless it is a family vacation where we shut down for a few days.

Katie - Don't worry about staying caught up. Take care of that term paper. Mac is doing cliff notes for Traice so you can catch up that way when you are done with the paper.

Tricia - I was totally confused on that last night too. Now it totally makes sense. Absolutely love the Christmas card.

I would imagine Scott's parents were a little less than thrilled. I nver did anything like that. Like I said last night I was an angel, just don't ask my parents.

Mac - Loved the beginnings of your card. I was thinking of asking for addresses from you guys but maybe I can just put it in here for all my homies.

Hi guys - guess where I am? Yep you got it - work!

Enjoyed the tombstone/drinking, alien stories! I'm again at least caught up on reading all the replies, if not responding! Mac - why do you stay up so late? I can understand Lori because I think she's in a different time zone (I could be wrong!). But I know you're in my zone!

Chicago would be a great place for a meet because I could drive down. Don't know if I'd be able to get away with flying anywhere (okay, I'm pretty sure I couldn't). We could all do the Segway tour along the waterfront! I've done it a few times already and it's a lot of fun. If not I'd vote for Orlando and bring DS14 along!

My uncle (and godfather) is in the process of moving to Celebration believe it or not! They're remodeling the house this year, but have told us we're welcome to stay (they have a guest apartment) once it's all done! Maybe that would reduce the cost enough to get it to fly with DH?

And I'm too busy working on my real (snail mail) Christmas cards to try to figure out virtual ones! Anyone wants a real one, just send me a PM! Although I think you guys have already seen all the pics in it and probably aren't interested in the rest (or have already heard it and more here!). I managed to shrink our 16 days down in Orlando to less than one paragraph so detailed it isn't!

Okay, back to pretending to work!

:rolleyes1

i like that story a lot.
mind if i send it in to readers digest for the $25 reward?

Where I work, they have blocked the games on the computer..
Have a safe trip home.

I am here, I am here, I am here! Work, that is! Yep, still here and still fascinated! Got about another 45 minutes to go. I think I can, I think I can!

Don't know if the games are blocked here. I'm just hoping they aren't tracking the sites I'm on. Although, most of the tmie I'm doing stuff simultaneously - typing and reading here while stuff is scanning and loading.

Basically the way my week works is that on Monday I work like crazy and manage to get everything done by the end of the day. On Tuesday, I can work at a normal pace, read the DIS, and still get everything done, but also kind of have enough to do (yesterday was an exception). Wednesday and Thursday, I finish what I have in half an hour and spend the next 5 doing busy work.

I really don't think I need to be coming in an hour early like they have me, but they keep insisting things will pick up after the first of the year. If they don't, by Feb or so, I'm going to ask to go back down an hour. And maybe even beg to have that hour at the end of the day so I could get home to the kids. Right now our after school time is impossible. But we'll see. For now - just bored!

Evening all...what a crappy Wednesday!

First....I got up late and was rushing around the bathroom. Damn near slipped but to break my fall, I grabbed the toothbrush holder and pulled the damn thing off the wall. :rolleyes1

Then....driving into work, my window in the car got stuck and wouldn't go up and then something popped in the door....maybe a belt? :confused3

From there...the day got a little better but now I'm afraid the repair for the window is going to cost several hundred dollars....it's never cheap.

Anyway....the weather was nice so I can't complain about that.

Going to eat dinner....might be back later.

Sharon - I actually work on 3 different computers. One is mostly "mine" and I really haven't worried about anyone going on the internet on that computer because they all have their own computers which are newer and faster so I can't imagine they'd take the time it takes on mine to get the internet to pull up, and if they did, there'd be a major reason for it so they probably wouldn't be taking the time to look at my browsing history.

The other computer I can pull up internet on, people do use, so I try not to use the internet there for other than work reasons. The few times I've used it for personal stuff, I've deleted the browsing history, but I think that would make them more suspicious than a site (disboards.com) that they wouldn't recognize or care about!

Guess I should delete mine every now and then, but I would just be more worried if they were tracking the actual time I'm on, not just the fact that I go to the sites. I think they know there are times I'm really not doing anything or can be doing two things at once. So that's why I tend to check and/or read, then click out each time so it doesn't look like I'm on the site all day.

And I'm home finally - yay! DS12 is going to go to the "Nifty Knitters" meeting at the library for the first time tonight. Don't know if it will be 3 little old ladies who know what they're doing or a bunch of clueless kids! Either way it will get him out of Religious Ed for the night so he's willing to try!

I'm sorry you had such a sucky day. Here's a hug for you.
Did you ever get the window up? If your at all handy, the inside door panel of most cars comes off pretty easily and you could look and maybe see whats wrong. My son's car had a nut fall off the screw that held the window in the track. His wouldn't go up either. The nut was sitting at the bottom of the door. He screwed it back on and was good to go. It would be nice if it was something that easy.

I worry about them tracking the time too. I work for a small company thou, and I don't think they would spend the money for the program that does that.

We have something like the "Nifty Knitters" at a coffee house in the town where I live. I'ts a great mix of all ages and skill levels. I'm amazed at all the kids who think it's cool to knit.
I just learned how to knit last Christmas when my mom was going thru her breast cancer stuff. Her sister from Florida who is a retired nurse came to stay with my mom for a few weeks. She is an awesome knitter. We had a lot of time on our hands as mom's surgery was rescheduled twice. My aunt ended up staying 3 weeks. So she taught me, my daughter, my mom and my sister how to knit. It was an awesome experience spending so much time together. We got together almost every night for a few hours. Had a bit of wine and some cheese and great conversation. I wish she and her husband lived closer. :sad2
I've since knitted 2 scarves, 2 felted handbags, and know I am working on a cabled sweater for myself. I'm in over my head on this one. I emailed the directions to my Aunt so she can help me when I get stuck!:

Well, I'll let you guys know how the Knitters turn out! Sharon - I think it would be more fun for DS if he knew anyone who knew how to knit or had actually had someone (Grandma or whatever) sit and teach him. He did the modern "look up the instructions online" technique, but somehow that loses the personal/nostalgic touch.

I also work for a small company (4 people) so I figure the same thing. If they really want to know what I'm doing, they'll come stand and look over my shoulder! Not like being at IBM or something where it would seem more likely they'd spend the money on things like that.

Todd - sorry to hear about the car. I worried about the same thing today - I opened the window to put a letter in the mailbox on my way out and it wouldn't close. It finally did, and I'm guessing it was because of the weather - it's a balmy 10 here right now! I'm going to guess that yours isn't for the same reason!

Sorry I wasn't around last night but I didn't get home till 9pm. Once I did get there, Bubba was just gettin' to bed, so I had to spend some "How was your day" time with him. We are having an "issue" at school...so, we are working on straightening that out. Then, "how was your day" conversation with DH. Then I grabbed dinner. DS14 LIVES on Ham and Cheese Hot Pockets. He doesn't like any breakfast foods, so that's what he eats for breakfast, snacks, and any "you need to fix your own meal" meals! However, we buy the bulk packs (5 Hot Pockets per) and he considers that a "serving size" (the whole box!). The joys of having teenage boys!

DH and DS12 called and are on their way home from Nifty Knitters. Tricia (I think) - yep, you were right. It was Ethel and Mabel and Edna and Harriet - a slew of little old ladies, one older man, and DS! However, he said they were very nice to him and he had fun. The first time we saw this advertised, it was under the "Activities for Kids" section in the paper, so I guess I thought there might be some kids at it! :confused3 Either way, I guess he didn't have to go to Church School so he's not too unhappy!

Dropped the other 2 off at church school, DH and DS12 are doing some grocery shopping, and I'm here doing what I do best: drinking wine, eating cheese, and chatting with my homies!

People were actually complaining they weren't getting their shopping done and were having a hard time getting into the Christmas 'spirit' because the weather was so warm..... uh.... :confused3 I'm sorry....you're complaining you don't need to lug around a big, heavy winter coat while you're shopping and lugging around a ton of shopping bags? http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/angry046.gif (http://www.freesmileys.org)

stealing the sister's outdoor christmas decorations reminds me of the tombstone i had.

every weekend one of that group would place it in my parents drive way and leave a note. after dad got over being pissed, he would move the tombstone over by the garage. that night, someone would come retrieve it.

and again, the next weekend it came back home to me.

this went on for 4 months. the time it was in our driveway with christmas lights all around it was the ending of it for the parents.

i had to hide that thing under my bed for the longest time.
i couldn't get my friends to stop stealing it back after dad would hide it in the back of the garage. so i had to hide it in my room.

my mother was not happy with me at all when they found it.
they moved to another house and when the movers took the beds, they mentioned to the folks they don't do tombstones.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: You have really GOT some good stories...you should share more often :teeth:

:rolleyes1

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: That is a good story too....glad to hear someone had good enuf sense to leave him with 'heat'.....altho, wouldn't it have been easier to ring the bell and run? :confused3 Guess when you're drunk, logic escapes you.... :rolleyes1

You should at least delete the browsing history.

At the salon, I take my laptop, so I can do as I wish :teeth: (boss doesn't care...she has wireless cable connection :goodvibes )
I very rarely have time to at the office.... Let's just say, at the office, (thanks to them) I have a more than 'overflowing' IN-bin :rolleyes1 ....oh, and the office manager that gave 4 weeks notice (vs. the usual 2 when you quit) and Friday was to be her last day...... yesterday at 4:45 they told her she could pack up her desk, take all her stuff and leave...said they'll pay her for the rest of the week..... Today I heard the reason they did that was to "thank her" for all her contributions to the company. :confused3 Nothing like resigning (on good terms) and then being made to "feel" like you're being fired :headache: What jerks....

Again...I did read ahead, and it seems the day ended better than it started! I would gladly sacrifice the toothbrushes over my butt anyday :rotfl: (toothbrushes/holder hitting the floor doesn't hurt a bit!)

I hope your car isn't too expensive to fix...that is the reason DH doesn't
"prefer" auto-everything....more expensive (and more often) to fix :headache:

That's a great memory to have  Feel lucky! I think it's so neat when families can spend time like that together... I am very big on family tradition, heirlooms, etc.... Do you enjoy prom season with the updos and braids, or is it a pain in the butt? My previous stylist hated it when girls brought in pictures of what they wanted, and the hairstyle was just impossible to recreate cause they didn't have the right kind of hair, or the expected her to have all the beaded hair clips etc. Plus they didn't tip very well if at all.

Hate it. They are picky and b**chy!!! And yes, most of the time, what is on top of their head isn't what I need to create what they want.... But, usually I had them come in beforehand for a "trial"...like a bride would.... and we'd get the 'kinks' out. Luckily, my prom gals are behind me...besides 1 client/friend's daughter.... Most of my "kids" are of elementary age, I have a couple middle skool boys, 1 high skool boy and 1 girl...the rest are in college (a few of them freshmen)...so, I don't fret prom season anymore. I am also at the point where I really only do MY clients...not any 'salon' clients.... And yes, after the dress, hair (usually minimum of $50), shoes, purse, jewelry and other expenses, the Mom's are tired of shelling out $$ and cheap-out on the tip...but, if they do that, they mysteriously have a price increase next time i see them :rolleyes1

Did you change the size of bubba's pic? It's bigger now, and the snowman and pickle are cut off. Prolly just my monitor...

Nope...haven't changed anything in the sig.... I won't 'post it' if it doesn't look right to me.... I 'preview' it, but have found that even then, when it's actually posted on the boards, sometimes it's cut off.... so, it must be your settings/monitor :confused3 I know Marcie had a problem, but I think she figured it out.

Penny - sounds like it's for the best that they're gone! Congrats!

Got the rest of you beat - when I went out walking this morning, it was -6 without the wind chill! Wore my face mask and around my mouth it froze in a pattern where I'd breathe in and out - sucked in on the side of my mouth and blown out in the middle! My eyes were watering and then freezing just as fast! Maybe it was a bit cold to be out!

Katie - sorry to hear about your dental pain. My mom went through a lot of that and it ended up just being miserable. Seems like every time you solve something it starts something else. Hopefully since you're obviously a lot younger than she is they'll be able to solve it this time! Good luck!

Katie - It sounds like you are making your dentists car payment for them again this month... or house payment depending on the size of the bill. Hopefully this will be the end of the teeth drama for you!

Barb - You and Brad must be related. He grew up in Minnesota. He HATES the cold. As soon as he graduated from high school, he packed up his meager belongings and moved to Florida (where he eventually attended college). The one or two times a year that it snows here, I'll say how pretty it is... and he'll always say something about how he saw all the snow he ever wanted to see in the first 18 years of his life. He doesn't need to see it again. Ever.

Penny - If you were subconsciously humming Ding Dong the Witch is Dead, it MUST be cause for celebration that your coworker got fired! :cool1:

Marcie - I don't even think our temps know how to go into the negatives down here.

DM - I have never seen Child's Play. The last horror film I saw was one of the Halloween sequels... the bad one that had nothing to do with Michael Myers... and I saw it in the theater during its original release. I was in high school and succombed to peer pressure.

Peer pressure....does it every stinkin time!! :headache:

Oh and Tricia.....meant to ask how you made out shopping..... 6 hours out and I did pretty good.... DH even bought me something ;) :rotfl:

Lookit my ticker.... :scared1: .....tick, tick, tick.....jolly ole fat man will be here soon.... http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/scared002.gif (http://www.freesmileys.org) http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/scared002.gif (http://www.freesmileys.org) http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/scared002.gif (http://www.freesmileys.org) http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/scared002.gif (http://www.freesmileys.org)

Okay kids...off to 5:10 soccer game, then bite to eat, then decorate our tree :yay: (finally!).....

Hope to catch you l8rs tonite.....(BUT, that depends if CSI is a rerun or not....)

Barb - I did okay shopping. I got Joshua 2 pairs of pants on sale and Mom got him the $40 special edition Super Mario Bros Monopoly. I wouldn't get him a $40 Monopoly game, but if Grandmom feels the need... I'm not going to stand in her way! :rolleyes1

It's indoor soccer now, right? No more butt frozen to the bleachers stuff?

Rose - You sound busy. Glad you stopped in for a quick "hi"!

Raven - I live WAY southeast of you. It was 28 when I got up this morning. We're supposed to have temps in the 70s over the weekend. Weird. :confused3

i just don't want to go back many pages to find the answer.

Hi guys - I had a :sad1: day at work today. My boss was being a complete dweeb. Once again yelling at me for something that I had NEVER had explained to me before. I tried, politely, to say that he hadn't gone over it and he was just ranting and raving. I'm sitting there at the computer with my back to him. You know how you get where your throat tightens up and your eyes fill with tears and you know that if you have to say a word your voice is going to break and the tears are just going to overflow? :sad2:

Well, obviously, I was at that point. Finally, I had to turn to look at him and I think he realized it at about the same time. He just yelled that he was going back in his office and left. I sat there upset for awhile, then went on to some other work. A bit later he came back in and more calmly tried to talk me through some of the steps for what I was supposed to be doing before realizing that I did NOT have the capability on my computer to do what he wanted me to (never mind that I'd never even been told about this before). So he told me never mind, he'd take care of it.

When I went back in later to talk to him about something else, he did apologize for "raising his voice" because he's "wound pretty tightly" right now. Guess that's the best I'm going to get. Yes, I realize he has a lot on his plate right now. His FIL is in the hospital and his son is getting married next weekend. Yes that would stress anyone out. But my point is (that he keeps ignoring): Fine, I don't mind being yelled at. But preferable when I've done something wrong, not because I don't know about something I've never been told!

Okay, enough of the whining! Today I saw the most perfect ornament in a catalog for one of you, but of course it wasn't the person I had and I've already sent mine. Maybe next year? :confused3

Tricia - we're in indoor soccer here (if you read my earlier post you can probably figure out why!).

Barb - don't blame you for not wanting to visit. DS12 has a piano recital next weekend and he and his teacher are playing an awesomely impressive duet. (I'm REALLY hoping DH can figure out how to get it on youtube - if any of you guys have any tips, suggestions, or help on that I'd appreciate it!). Anyways, I'd told my parents about it. My dad has never been out to visit since we moved 18 months ago. Suddenly they called today to ask if they should fly out for it. I'm trying to explain that it's not THAT exciting (I'll tape it for them) and this really isn't the best time of year for a visit!

Tricia - yeah, peer (or especially boy/girlfriend) pressure will do that! DH was sitting with DS and his girlfriend at a volleyball game before Halloween listening to them talk. GF asked DS if he liked haunted houses. He says he HATES them. Next night - guess what they're doing? You got it - going to a haunted house! :rotfl: Ah, to be young and have that kind of influence again!

Well, off to do some Christmas cards!

Hi right back at ya'! :wave2:

Hi guys - I had a :sad1: day at work today. My boss was being a complete dweeb.

Oh, ICK! How terrible. I know exactly what you mean about being on the verge of tears and if you say something you'll break. You are still looking for another job, right?

did he live near 3rd street over looking the bluff when he was in red wing?
it's near the reservation.

I will see if he remembers where they lived. I might have to ask his parents since he was so young when they were there. I'll find out somehow. Maybe you guys knew each other way back when. Wouldn't that be weird!

Hi guys. I'm not going to be able to respond to all I have missed, computer keeps locking up on me so I am giving up. I will try to catch up tomorrow on a different computer.

I wanted to say hi to everyone and let you know I have read everything. I did want to respond to Marcie though.

Wow, that guy is a jerk. With that and all the problems you are having keeping up with all the stuff with the boys, it's just not worth it. I hope you can find something else soon. Heck, subbing would have to be better than this! Anyway, I'm thinking about you. Hope it gets better soon.

Hey, I think I may have actually got something posted!

Nite everyone.

Hey Lori...glad to see you were able to get something posted.... :goodvibes Hope you are able to use a different computer tomorrow.....

Hi guys - I had a :sad1: day at work today. My boss was being a complete dweeb.

First, what a jerk!! (I haven't heard the term "dweeb" in like.... :scratchin ....forever.... :confused3 ) Some men really 'get off' on "power trips" and don't realize it. Glad he could read it all over your face....I hope he felt like sh*t!!! ;) I believe in "what goes around, comes around"...sooner or later....just be patient. :surfweb:

Today I saw the most perfect ornament in a catalog for one of you, but of course it wasn't the person I had and I've already sent mine. Maybe next year? :confused3

uh....HELLO?!?!?! Please be sure to mention this next week....I'm dying to know what it was (& who for....) http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/excited001.gif (http://www.freesmileys.org)

Thanks for the support guys! Wow - guess I'm stuck back in the 80's or something - didn't realize "dweeb" was that out of date! :lmao: Guess I was trying to use a more "board family friendly" word rather than the one I would have liked to use!

Mac - thanks for the offer! Maybe we could have shared some of that rocky road ice cream, although I'm really not an ice cream person (especially in December!) I'm relaxing again with my favorite wine and cheese! I diffused by watching CSI with the family (and venting during the commercials)! Of course my boss also insisted today that CSI was going to be a rerun. I didn't argue with him, but who wants to bet that if he didn't tape or watch it, somehow it will be my fault! :rotfl: So, is it snowing down by you? We're expecting a couple more inches tonight. And my wimpy friend I walk with every day didn't go with me this morning just because it was "too cold" - what a weenie!

Anyways, I'm not looking hard for a job right now (probably because I just don't have the time to!), but maybe after the holidays. Honestly, I was at the point today of just walking out. I'm not a yeller, so I probably would have said something like "sorry, this isn't going to work out" and just left. Maybe kinda wishing I had. Other than the stuff I do directly for this boss though (maybe 10 percent of my overall work), I don't mind what I do and I like the other 2 people who work there. I keep hearing the "boss" is considering early retirement or at least reduced hours. Can't come soon enough for me!

Barb - the Christmas cards are done, as in printed out, but now I'm writing those personal messages to everyone. And waiting for DH to ever finish printing out the envelopes so I could actually mail them! If your DH does ever have any suggestions - please let me know! Do you know if you can post youtube videos from regular videos or does it have to be digital video? And I'll let you know about the ornament once we all get our secrets! Didn't get mine yet! (But I'm sure neither did my person!)

But on the plus side! For me - IT'S THE WEEKEND! I don't work Fridays so I have 3 days without my meanie boss! So let's see, what's on the agenda? For tomorrow morning I get to sit home and wait for the plumber to come! Don't think I told you guys, but the toilet in our bathroom decided to start leaking from all around the base this morning. Since DH and I are both completely non-plumbing-inclined, I turned off the water and they're coming in the morning. Which means that if I need to go during the night, I have to use my kids' "super stinky" bathroom! :scared: Let me tell you, three boys in one bathroom is not a good thing!

Then my kids have a half day of school so I'll be taking DS15 and his girlfriend to the mall in the afternoon. And going to a soccer game in the evening. Still sounds WAY better than going to work don't you think? Well, I'm off to bed. Talk to you guys tomorrow!
