I know shelly.... YAY.. I can't wait for our trip.... i'm still hoping for better airfare...

should i get it now through jetblue at 836 or should i wait another month to see if it goes down.... I"m just afraid that it will get more expensive or that another airline will have it for cheaper.... AAHHHHH what to do what to do...in teh immortal words of Pooh "think, think, think"

Is that price for just the 3 of you??? That's too much! Or is someone else coming with you?

Looks like there are non-stop flights for your dates with Southwest for $99 each way. Total in the $600's for 3. . .

Especially for someone who doesn't live in the land of outragious airfare! :lmao:

If you move to Arkansas, you can easily pay $339 each for a direct flight and everyone will tell you that you got a great deal! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

That is going to be difficult. . . . Maybe you should tell him to do the booking!! :lmao:

What about AirTran? I see today they just lowered rates from Pittsburgh from $114 to $79. Which is what I paid with Southwest, but I would have preferred to fly AirTran since we already have and are familiar with them, plus assigned seating.
Oh Well! I guess I'm just glad to have tickets at this point!

Mari-I hope the fights go down.

Speaking of flights. My flights went up to I am waiting to buy my tickets and it is killing me. I WANT A DING

Disney Visa as 5x rewards on their card so I might want to book my flight on that card.

Decisions Decisions

Oh I havent told you all. I painted my living room and hated the color so I tried another in and that one stunk too, tried one more too dark. Now I found a color I like and I have to finish painting by the end of the week.

So I am so tired of painting. Blue is a hard color to paint. I ended up with a color called Winter Lake which looks like wedgewood china.

Hi Kait! Do you have your airfare yet? Or are you driving? :car:

Airfare. My mom gets lost very easily. We'd probably end up in Idaho or something if we drove.
We're flying AirTran. I think it ended up being roughly $200 a piece round trip and the total was $517 with all those taxes.

Air tran is ONLY $59 each way but not direct.... I would so book those flight... it would only be like 400 for all 3 but DH says direct flights... so i guess we'll end up paying an arm and a leg for flights...:headache:

She went to school, but didn't want to go. No fever, so off she went. She tends to get croupy so I fully expect to be awakened by the sound of a barking seal tonight. Sooo scary sounding in the middle of the night. Drew was the worst. He just had so much stridor you could hear him gasping all over the house. It was awful. Thankfully, he has outgrown it. Thanks for asking!

We sure had a lot of rain yesterday. I can see the snow on the mountains from my sundeck. Beautiful. The sky is really dark to the north and it looks like we are going to have another round of rain in a couple of hours.

Well, it looks like we are going to be going back to FL for a wedding in the early fall of this year. I don't have the dates yet, maybe in a couple weeks. I would like to slip in at least 3 or 4 days at WDW when we are back there. So I am pretty happy about that development!

Well, about 11:00 am it began to hail. That lasted for about 4 or 5 minutes. It melted pretty though. Now it is raining and we are expecting thunder storms. There are huge clouds in the east. Maybe I can get some neat pictures or video later on today.

I am jazzed about the FL trip. It is just going to be my wife and I on this adventure. We will be able to get a great deal on the hotel rooms because of my wife's Disney cast member discount. Can't make any decisions yet until we get the dates of the wedding.

NC - How's your DS? Did you end up taking him to the doctor today?

Long day today. We got in at the doctor's office. My son has the flu. It has been too long to give him tamiflu (since we didn't get in yesterday.) :headache: But our doctor wrote a prescription for dh, dd, and me. :thumbsup2 We started taking it tonight. Just waiting for dh to get home so I can give him his does.

I think I went to Wal-Mart 10 times today (well it was only two, but felt like 10.) DS wanted a cheese burger from McDonalds (which is inside our wal-mart) for lunch and since he hasn't been eating much I was glad to go. He also had drank all of our water and Dr. Pepper and wanted more of that. And when the poor baby is sick, you know mom wants to make it all better and will fetch and bring whatever is desired. Then after the doctor, it was back for the pharmacy and to pick up mac n cheese. So I guess I checked out 4 times but only made two trips! :scared1: Which this took most of the afternoon.

Thanks for asking about him. It looks like he may have another 3 days of ickiness.

Oh, our pediatric office offered flu mist for our school this year. I always get the kids and myself a flu shot. Well, this was the first year for the offer thru the school and I jumped on it. The date was postponed twice and then cancelled. It was cancelled around Thanksgiving, well I never called the office to schedule the shot. So the moral of this story is GET YOUR FLU SHOT NO MATTER WHAT! The only year we skip, ds gets the flu! Ugh! I am a bit tired, frustrated, and feeling guilty that I didn't get my baby the shot. Sorry guys!

Good morning!

Good thing you're all on Tamiflu. That stinks that they couldn't see you earlier. Ugh. I hate it when things like that happen and there is absolutely nothing you can do but wait it out. It makes you so angry and frustrated.:sad2:

I wish our WM had McD's in it!!!!:goodvibes I miss their fruit and yogurt parfaits. oh, and their french fries too, ha.

Well, how is this going to play into your April Flowers trip?????:flower3:
That flu is awful.:headache:
Once, Drew tested positive for the Flu AND strep throat, all in the same visit! They were able to put him on Flumadine and I swear, 24 hours later, the kid was running around. Miracle drug.

Well, i hope your day today is better. Take care of yourself, son't do so much that your immunity runs low and you become susceptible. Take your vitamins!!!

Hugs, girl,:grouphug:

Sorry guys!

Yay Seacrest! :woohoo:

Good night everyone!

I hope he feels better. That stinks. We don't get the flu shot here. I used to do it with the girls but they would get sick for months after.

I had to sit and tell her it wasn't nice and blah blah blah but the whole time all i wanted to do is laugh... she NEVER said that before...

Okay, so :offtopic: :) I have been thinking about getting my hair cut off! It's very long, down past the middle of my back. I'd like to get quite a bit of it cut off and am thinking about even getting 10-12 inches cut so that I can donate it to Locks Of Love. http://www.locksoflove.org/donate.html

I wasn't planning on going quite that short, but it would be for a good cause. I'm just afraid I'll hate it!! But right now it's just so long and thick and it is driving me crazy!! :scared1:

Now it's been about 3 weeks and you are right, it is just hair and it's slowly coming back and maybe in about another month It will be right where I want it to be.

You are doing it for an EXCELLENT cause, so I would say go for it!

Well, we are staying in. Waiting for dh to get home so I can dose all of us up with tamiflu.

We are having brinner tonight. That is when you eat breakfast for dinner. ;) Bacon and eggs. We love brinner! Since we moved into the neighborhood, brinner has become a very popular meal! We have convinces everyone that you should have brinner at least once a week!

We have the 4th grade rabbit for the weekend. Dd is so excited! She can hardly separate herself from the critter. She is carrying that poor animal everywhere.

Tomorrow is dh's birthday. Not sure what he wants to do on his day. I do know that we have an engagement party to go to tomorrow night, so that should be fun.

good morning

Big Hugs and get well soon wishes going out to those who need them.

It cold here this week... people are even calling it a deep freeze. ( Oh if they had only grown up in northern ontario with me). I grew up a half hour away from the Ontario/Minnesota border on Lake Superior ( hence the name lakehead), and when we were kids ... we had some wicked winters. ( wicked as in good.) Lots of cold and snow = great downhill skiing. Unfortunately there are no hills even close to here.

We are all relatively over the colds and almost done the bedroom painting, although the colour I chose is going to take a while to get used to. Most of the house is in shades of beige, and the bedroom is being painted a vibrant garnet... so it's definitely different but really cool at the same time.

Seacrest congrats on the return trip to florida, how great.

So I guess it's back to work on the bedroom...
I'll catch you later

I am tired, yesterday we had Dance class, then 2 bday parties and a trip to see my Inlaws. It was a long day.

I finished the painting in the living room and now I have to paint the moulding today. So it shouldnt be too bad.

So I was talking to Dh today about the airfare and it doesnt go down we might just go to Disney a night earlier. So we can be fresh the first day.

I have to ask my mom how much more that would be.

Seacrest- Good video.

Lake do you feel like you are sleeping in a strange place?

I wonder if I should paint something? My baseboards in the kitchen should use a touch up. They are really looking banged up.

Good news, so far dh, dd and myself do not have flu symptoms. Yeah! :woohoo: Poor ds is still feeling yucky. He still had a slight temp yesterday. I will have to see how he does today. We are all staying home from church today.

Hey MAYERS!!!

So sorry for not checking in with a full reply sooner, I had a nice one all ready to enter on Wednesday and the site signed me out and made me lose it all :(

So here's 7 days in short....

Day 1 - Check-In to Housing/CP

I started my day by taking a Taxi from CR to Vista Way to get everything checked in. I arrived there around 8:45, and there was already quite a line going, even though officially check-in was from 9am - 1pm. It took me about an hour or so to move through all of the stations of check-in. One of the first ones was housing assignments. I had really wanted to be in a 3-bedroom at Chatham, which is the newer of the two complexes. I figured a 3-bed would be ideal 1) because each bedroom has its own bathroom 2) it's cheaper than a 1 or 2-bed and 3) with a 5 other roommates, you're bound to get along with at least one of them. I got what I wanted for housing and was assigned an apartment in Chatham Square.

After finishing all of the stations, I made my way to where the busses were transferring from one complex to the other and waited for about 45 minutes while the drivers discussed how best to load the busses. Now if you're one of the ones who think that resort transportation can be a bit hairy....These guys had nothing on the resort buses. The bus I was on got lost in the 2 mile drive from Vista to Chatham, and turned the wrong way into the complex, thus going the wrong way down a one-way street. I arrived at the apartment to find that my other 5 roommates had already arrived and were getting unpacked. I met Jody, who I share a room with, and started meeting the others. I was totally surprised that one roommate was someone I was friends with on Facebook. While I was meeting people, other people from the apartments around me started coming in, and again, there were more people that I had already befriended from Facebook.

Just an aside, in our building there are three floors, with six apartments on the first floor and two apartments on the top two floors. The top two floors are basically one big group of people who pretty much all knew each other from Facebook before arriving. We all pretty much come and go from each others apartments at random now.

Now we weren't supposed to get our assignments til the next day, but a group of us had figured out how to access the computer and see where we were that morning. I didn't have a particular attraction assigned but I found out that I would be in Epcot! After getting my stuff unpacked, a group of us decided to go grab some lunch before going to our housing meeting. We went to Steak and Shake which was a new experience since we don't have those in NE, and then went to our housing meeting, which basically was to give us the rules and do's and don'ts. After getting back from the housing meeting, we all went our separate ways for a while. I rode the bus to Walmart. The buses are very convenient, but I overestimated just how much stuff I could manage to carry back from Walmart and ended up having a hard time getting it back to my aparment.

Day 2 - Work Assignments

The first day required signing a lot of documents, but day 2 was really signing your life away. The first stop was filling out all of the government paperwork required to legally work. After that we were given our work locations. I was assigned to Epcot Future World East Attractions, which is Test Track, Mission: Space, Universe of Energy and Spaceship Earth. I kept moving through the stations until I met one of my coordinators (bosses) for Epcot, who informed me that I had been assigned to....

Mission:Space

I was nowhere near thrilled that this was my assignment, because as all of you know, I am not a fan of big, scary, fast rides (but it's much better now). My roommates include a Jungle Cruise Skipper, a Hostess at Spoodles, a Hostess at Tony's Town Square, front desk at CSR, and attractions at Voyage of the Little Mermaid and Playhouse Disney

After finishing up with all of our stations, we went back to our apartments. I was puttering around in the kitchen and was wanting to cool off my bottle of water, so I opened the freezer door to find this...
http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r300/sulleyfan/WDWCP-Spring08/champagneexplosion.jpg
Someone had left two bottles of champagne in the freezer overnight! Oops!

That evening our apartment hosted a dinner party. At one point in the evening there were probably 20 people in and around our apartment. Our apartment has basically become the hangout for a number of people and we have a few honorary roommates that are basically welcome at any hour.

Day 3 - Traditions

Traditions was fun, except for the fact that we had to be on the bus at 6:55am after staying up really late the night before. I rode the bus with Liz (roommate), Brad, and Guy (honorary roomies). I was glad to have Liz in the group I was in, it was nice to have someone I already knew to sit with. Traditions lasted until noon, and at that point we all had our IDs, so we could all get into the parks for free. We went back to our apartments to change. Liz and I made a run to Walgreens and while we were gone, the boys decided to do laundry, so we waited for them to finish before heading to the parks.

Around 3:15, we finally arrived at DHS. The first order of business was to ride RnR, I walked the queue with them, but exitted before the ride and did the same with ToT which was next. After that we went on GMR and then the Muppets 3:D show. We wanted to catch up to a few more friends that had the late Traditions class and see Wishes, so we headed over to MK. We all got there around 6:30, so we had an hour and a half to play before Wishes. We rode HM and then BTMRR! I actually rode it!!!! It scared me senseless and it took me about 10 minutes after exitting to get my footing back, but I survided it. We made our way back to Main Street and stood there in awe of Wishes as a group.

At that point, none of us had eaten since noon-ish, so we decided to grab dinner at Denny's. We had an awesome waiter, who kept bringing us soda even though we didn't order it and biscuits, and just random things. Most of us had to work the next day, so we piled back into the cars and came back to get some shuteye.

Day 4, 5, 6 - Training!!

Everyone in my apartment that was scheduled for Thursday had a morning schedule, except for me. I was scheduled to work from 1:15 til 10 that night at Mission:Space, so I took the opportunity that morning to do some laundry (yay for clean clothes!).

I arrived at the Cast building at Epcot to meet my trainer around 1, the first thing we did was get my costume....Now for those of you who have ridden M:S, did you notice how "interesting" the costumes are? They're light blue and grey with red ribbing and made completely of polyester! After suiting up, we went on a tour of the backstage areas that I am around and then went through the building as a normal guest. My trainer wanted me to go on the ride, but didn't force me to, so I managed to get as far as the loading bay and then decided to not actually ride.

We went over some of the more technical stuff regarding rides and then since the ride was slow and there was a bay that wasn't loading guests, I got to train on it instead of using the online simulations, which was a lot better. I also got to see the whole ride show without all of the ride in motion, which was nice and made me realize that I didn't ever want to ride the ride for real :).

Friday and yesterday, I opened and got to operate different stations of the ride with guests, with my trainer standing by.

Day 7 - Free Day!

Today's my only day off until next Saturday (when my family gets here!), so I'm dealing with some housekeeping things around the apartment and might go to the parks later if I feel better. I started feeling sick on Wednesday with a sore throat and cold and now its just a nasty cough which nothing seems to be kicking. Other than that today's plan is to be pretty mellow.

That's my first week in a nutshell (albeit a rather large nutshell :))

Huggie - Sounds like the painting is going well and you have applied the final coat. I bet you are ready to be finished. I just love fresh paint. It makes everything seem new.

Have a great day MAYers! :snooty:

Uh, didn't :snooty: used to be on the main smilie page? :confused3

absolutely... it was a different feeling going to sleep last night in a much different room.
but this morning i am loving it.

Sulley- so glad the week went well an dthat you have met up with some of your facebook friends, that is pretty cool to get to meet them in person... haha I guess its kind of like meeting Mayers in person.
I too am on facebook, and I know what a marvel it can be. ( if anyone else is and want to be..."friends" just let me know. :P)

Hi Sulley! :yay:

So good to hear from you!! I was wondering when you were going to check in next.

WOW you have been a busy girl! Sounds like so much fun!

Glad you got the housing assignment you wanted. How did you like Steak & Shake? I love that place! :goodvibes

Will you be assigned to Mission Space for your whole stay? Or will you get to do different things? We've never ridden Mission Space before. I was thinking about DS8 & I trying the newer less intense version in May. Maybe you will get to work at Test Track next! That is one of our family's favorites!! DH is like you and doesn't like the fast rides, but last May I talked him into trying TT and he absolutely loved it!! It really isn't that scray, I promise!

Hey maybe your roommate that got assigned to CSR front desk can get me a good room in May!!

Can't wait to hear more of your exciting adventures! :cool1: Until then, well I'm stuck here in PA in the snow and cold. :sad2:

Have a great week! :grouphug:

Yay Sulley! What an awesome report. It was just like being there!

Woo Hoo for BTMRR! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

How 'bout that freezer! :scared1: Glad I didn't have to clean that up!

That is so cool that you know so many people from Facebook. I am sure that made for an easier transition for ya!

I love Mission Space! I think it is one of the most magical rides at WDW. I really feel like I am blasting off! Dd and Dh ride non-spinning so they do not feel  . But Ds and I ride the spinning. Last time I rode with ds, one of the CMs asked, "Will you and your SISTER be riding spinning or non-spinning?" :rolleyes1 Well, I know that I do not look like I could be his sister, but that CM made my day!

Just file that line in the back of your head, and save it for a magical moment for someone!

Green with envy! :thumbsup2

Have fun and congrats on riding BTMRR! Before long, you will be riding R'N'R and TOT without even blinking. Yay Sulley!!!!!

Mari what's a Tricky Tray? Congrats on your prizes. Speaking of car wash, mine needs one bad, thanks to all of the salt and dirt from the road. :headache:

Sunday was uneventful here. My mom made Lasagna and I made some chocolate chip cookies, which turned out much much better than the last time I made them.

Hey well a Tricky Tray is when an organization gets together and basically raffles off things at a sitdown lunch. For ex the one i went to for today was a catholic school... so the parents and different sponsors donate things and the school sells tickets for the event this one was $30 a ticket. WIth it you get a couple of tickets you can put in a basket for individual prizes. THey give you the option of purchasing more tickets if you want. And throughout lunch or dinner they just call of numbers and you win the prizes... its all for the school... it was nice...this was the 2nd one i've been to... Some lady won a 6day/5night trip to WDW... I was SOOOO Jealous here i am having to pay for mine she gets it for free....

Mornin' Mayers! I had park orientation today, so it's a short day for work yay! (it's weird having park orientation after being trained, for most of the other people there, it was their first time in the park as employees).

Hi Sulley! :yay:

So good to hear from you!! I was wondering when you were going to check in next.

WOW you have been a busy girl! Sounds like so much fun!

Steak & Shake was good, something new to try. As of right now, I'm only going to be at Mission:Space, but I may cross-train at something else on that side of the park before May, my trainer suggested Test Track....I'll definitely let y'all know where I'm at when you come. I am missing the snow back home a little (very little, but I do).

The champagne in the freezer made me laugh, how did your roommates ever get the big ice cube of champagne out? :rotfl:

Mari what's a Tricky Tray? Congrats on your prizes. Speaking of car wash, mine needs one bad, thanks to all of the salt and dirt from the road. :headache:

Sunday was uneventful here. My mom made Lasagna and I made some chocolate chip cookies, which turned out much much better than the last time I made them.

We're are almost in the single digits for our countdowns!

If you don't want to ride the ride, and the line's not long, I'd walk the queue at least and see all of the pre-shows. We are very well set up for opting out of the ride and the pre-shows are really cool. I've done that on RnR and ToT, since I really wanted to see the RnR pre-show w/ my friends and it apparently happens all the time.

The champagne was cleaned up by using our huge metal cooking spoon and scooping it out of the freezer into a trash can....We tasted some of it, thinking it'd be like a champagne Icee, it wasn't.

Sulley - Question for you. . . DH won't ride RNRC, and DS6 isn't tall enough. DS8 & I love this ride! I really want DH to see the pre-show. Can him and DS6 walk through the queue with us and watch the pre-show and then exit? Or isn't that possible since DS6 isn't tall enough to enter? :confused3

I don't know whether they would let him walk the pre-show or not, I'd definitely ask the person at the entrance, and make sure they understand that he's not going to ride. I know that we're allowed to do that in some situations.

Thanks sulley! The tubes go in Feb 26th, he's just been getting a lot of hearing tests and meeting with his ped recently. it's been nuts and I think the poor guy just wants to be left alone! haha

Yesterday was his baptism and he slept the entire time and even through the brunch, so I don't think he realizes it was his special day :)

I have been doing ours for about 3-4 years now. I am thinking about taking the tax course next fall and then working at H&R Block or another tax place. DS6 will be in school all day next year. I don't really want to go back to work at the bank, they are so UN-flexible with the hours. Working Jan-April would be perfect for me!

Hey Shelly! I think they will not let him go thru the line unless he is tall enough to ride. This is the first ride we ride in the mornings when we go to DHS. There is often a little back up at the entrance due to children being measured and CMs trying to explain the height requirement and that chidlren not tall enough to ride cannot enter. Last May they would not let the kids in unless they were tall enough to ride.

You could do a child swap, get the pass, ride with your ds, then let your hubby go thru and see the preshow ( be sure to tell him to stay in the line long enough to see the cars take off, that part is so cool), they will probably let your oldest ds go thru the line with your hubby. Chris used to get to ride things twice in a row like this. He would ride with me. Then DH and Chris would go ride on the child swap. (I know you said your hubby isn't riding but just keep that in mind.)

Hope that helps!

I'm sure it's not really that much trouble. We have just never had to use child swap before. DS6 is so short and DH doesn't care for thrill rides that much, so we are usually good! They are happy just waiting for DS8 and I in the gift shops at the end of the rides!

On all of the rides you can go all the way through up to the ride platform and sneak out through an exit if you don't want to ride the ride. Just tell a CM that you want to exit. They will be very happy to help you.

Mari - I had no idea. There are some amazing "pre-shows" or ques for some of the rides.

I think EE has an awesome que. It is like you are in a museum for the yeti. I think they did an awesome job on que for this ride. Same thing for Kali River Rapids. Not quite as great but good still. It took me several trips plus 2 rain ponchos before I would go on this ride. Now I really like it, but hate being wet.

What are your favorite ride preshows or ques?

Muppet 3-D is one of my favs. I am just smitten with that TV pre-show.

Hey Shelly-

Yes, the dang Contemporary!!!!:rotfl:

You know, growing up, we both thought if you could stay at the Contemporary, that it was the neatest thing and your parents must love you a whole bunch, because only the coolest kids got to stay there. Not to mention the Monorail...

Anyway,
IF and it's a BIG if, they release room only rates for October like they have in thepast, then I could get a theme park view in the tower fornot much more than I am paying now for POFQ.

Makes sense to Mark.:goodvibes
However, I am concerned as always, with lack of space. But dang! Being able to sit on your balcony at night after you put the kids to bed and watching the MK is worth a lot of money to me!
Especially since MNSSHP will be going on...
And being a 5 minute walk to the gate of MK...
WOW.

For the same $ at the POLY, I'd have to get a garden room,
and those are standard and might over look something awful...LOL. I just can't afford it all, but I'd like to.

HAHAHAHAHA.

Thanks for the welcomes though - my kids are DD14, DD9 and DS8months (this is what happens when you say you are finished having kids!)... :rolleyes1

Michelle - I would never attempt to take 3 little ones to WDW alone. It is hard enough traveling with mine and the 2 older ones are huge helpers with the baby. Flying with all 3 is rough though - I don't look forward to that part of the trip at all.

Jo - yep we made it to CHS for 4 days. Rough flight down there then I got sick as a dog for a whole day while there but the Grandparents got to see the kiddos so that is what matters most right? I was too sick to get any Bessinger's BBQ though... :guilty:

Jo - yep we made it to CHS for 4 days. Rough flight down there then I got sick as a dog for a whole day while there but the Grandparents got to see the kiddos so that is what matters most right? I was too sick to get any Bessinger's BBQ though... :guilty:

:)
Kelley

Girl, I've got two gallons of their sauce in my fridge from when I went home.:rotfl: I Put a pork roast in the crock pot and cook it all day, add a bunch of their sauce... got your own Bessinger's Big Joe, right at your own kitchen table, hahaha. It gives new meaning to the phrase "Big Joe Pork", when said in my presence ( "Jo").

Oh man I am soooooooooooooo jealous! Have some pity on me and send me some sauce... enough for a "Little Joe" is fine with me.

We have a Food Lion here - wonder if they carry the sauce. I never thought to check. The ones in CHS do.

The kids have used the ones I got them at WalMart for the last 2 trips, but they are cheap and have Scooby-Doo and Spiderman on them. I really want Disney ones. I looked on Ebay and all they have for kids is Disney Princesses. No good for my boys!

I also need one more little lanyard for DS6. I got them the cutest Disney autograph books on Ebay, and DS8's came with a lanyard, but DS6's didn't.

:snooty: HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MAYERS!!!!! :snooty:

One year later and still going strong!!

party:

pixiedust:

:grouphug:

Happy Anniversary Everyone! :flower3:

HAHAHAHAHA.

I have been to the CR a few times. What would you like to know? I haven't been since the remodel. You know Sulley just stayed there one night, just before the CP. I love the CR.

Anyone know any tips to getting gum off of a very expensive dress shirt????

Mark is NOT happy!!!:guilty:

Mary Cat had gum in her pocket and washed and dried her clothes.
He came in behind her and threw his shirt in the dryer, and, well, you know what happened.

$80 shirt, ruined.
Oh good grief.

I've tried ice, and I got most of it off, but the little grooves in the fabric have it down in it.
YUK.

I guess I'll be going to Jos. A. Bank later on.

Jo

OK... When I think a shirt is ruined, I will try about anything on it, because ruined is ruined. You can't ruin it anymore than it already is. Right?

Have you tried De-Solv-It or Goo Gone? Is it cotton? Not that I would know anything different.

We have had the old gum in the dryer thing, usually red gum! :scared1: It is a pain because it gets on everything.

May 11-16 here! PORS - 1st time at this resort for us. Mason turns 1 on May 22nd so this is his "birthday trip".

Trip is just me and the 3 kids (DH will be gone on a 3 month Army training trip - boo hoo) flying down to meet up with the kids fabulous Godmother Aunt Liz.

I see my fellow Carolina girl on this thread! Howdy Jo! :yay:

:)
Kelley

Hi Kelley! May 22 is my ds's birthday! He will be 13. What a fun birthday trip!

Is it Spring time yet?!

Yes, nearly 70 degrees here today. You know what that means. Severe weather coming soon.

Does anyone know where I can get kids Disney fanny packs???

I have looked for those for my Chloe. Haven't found one. I did find her a cute fanny pack at Gap Kids last year. It was in the girls section. She will use it again this year.

Will I be miserable with 5 of us in the CR??? That's my main concern. Oh that's right, Sulley was there, wasn't she????

You must be hungry by now, even just a bit? You have strong will power! I admire you!
Lunch for me is vegetable soup. Still a tad queasy from the meds.

As to the shirt-
I haven't tried those yet. Thanks. Maybe they would work????

Be careful with the weather. The night we saw the tornado going down the street next to the house was the day I was ready to pack up and leave Arkansas!

Thanks for the welcomes everyone. Just call me the "better late than never" club charter member. :rotfl:

Yeah, if you think about it when you are there could you check it out? Thanks!

I read on another thread that they sell the black adult fanny packs that say WDW or DL and have the year. Not really what I am looking for. I want smaller ones for kids with Disney characters on them. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Goofy, Chip, Dale, Buzz, Woody, Pirates, Stitch, any of those would do! :goodvibes

Planning, oh yeah, I am supposed to be planning, aren't I???

Seriously...
I haven't made any ressies or anything yet. I'm still waiting on a few things. Mark may work it so I go with him to the conference at Huntington Beach, and if I do, I've got to wait until his flights are booked, etc. And then, we may just end up staying at what ever hotel they book for the entire trip.

There are some of our friends that will be there too that we knew from Arkansas and Mark works with, so we are still trying to get all of that straight before I make any definitive plans.

AND, then comes the part about taxes. I'm sorta' scared to even take it to the accountant.
Anyway, a lot of moving parts going on in this vacation to your state, LOL.

You better get those ADR's made!! Are you doing the dining plan?

For your son's birthday I would suggest breakfast at Crystal Palace! pooh: :tigger: :eeyore: We did this for my son's 4th birthday in 2005.
